"Where the hell is this train going to?"

Gilbert spat around for a few minutes before he looked up out the window and saw what looked like something out of a fantasy movie. From the corner of his eyes, he could see the blond man twirl the long, wavy hair and keeping his distance from the little boy that sat a few feet away.

"Wish I knew." The girl answered. "Didn't you get the email too?"

"Course I did. Would I be here if I wasn't?" Gilbert lifted up his phone. "I'm missing mein bruder's birthday for this."

"Oh, wow." The girl blinked.

"Do we really give a crap, bastard?" The boy on the other side of the room spat.

"Don't be like that, Lovino." The tall blond stated. "It's just a symbol of the fact that he's close to his brother."

The man named Lovino and the little boy said nothing as Gilbert sighed and turned back to the blond and the girl that were staring / smiling back at him. At least those two were willing to be nice to him. He figured that he might as well show off his awesomeness and show off his sweetness.

"Thanks, dude."

"It's no problem…Gilbert, is it?" The blond asked. "If what I've been hearing around is correct."

"Yes, that's my name~!" Gilbert grinned. "Gilbert Beillschmidt, at your service!"

"Francis Bonnefoy." The blond smiled. "100% French, born in America."

"Nice to know." Gilbert chuckled. "How about you?"

"Me?" The girl smiled. "Elizabeta Hedervary. It's nice to meet you."

She seemed sweet, causing him to grin and turn his head to the other boy, who snorted and turned his head away. He looked at the little boy and said nothing, yet seeing him slowly smile back. Gilbert must've gotten to him, because he rubbed his eyes and open his mouth.

"…Peter. Peter Kirkland."

"Nice to meet you, Peter." Gilbert answered.

"W-where's Gilbert?"

Elizabeta looked down the hole and saw a rather startled Gilbert staring face-to-face with a monster that roared in front of him. He held the stick firmly in his hand as was about to use it as a weapon when he felt a light glow from behind him. He turned his head and saw a strange symbol hovering behind him, beckoning him to come over.

"The spirit…THE SPIRIT IS HERE!"

Gilbert didn't know what to do (which is totally unawesome), so he went into instinct and ran toward the light, feeling his skin burn but nonetheless it was keeping the monster at bay. He darted his head back to the symbol and instead saw a strange figure standing before him, wearing a robe and a mask to cover his eyes.

"…who the hell are you…?"

[You.]

"What the hell do you mean by…?"

As it walked toward him, he felt a strange sense of familiarity run through his nerves. He lifted himself to his feet and felt himself fuse into the being before him. Gilbert looked at his phone and saw it as it changed into a strange little machine that he had never seen before. A message echoed out.

"It is time."

"…all right!" Gilbert lifted up his hand. "Spirit…EVOLUTION!"

The light sank into his veins as he felt his skin burn. It felt like he was falling in a vacuum, with nothing hitting him and yet it was a cocoon that held him back. His eyes opened as he finally found himself falling onto the ground, his body now showing the image of the figure that had appeared before him.

"TECTONIC KNIGHT!"

The others stared in shock (Lovino a strange exception) as Gilbert drew his blade, feeling it at his fingertips like he knew how to use it this entire time. The monster before him roared to life as he charged toward him, determined to get his spirit. Nonetheless, Gilbert's wrists began to spin.

"You got nothing on the power of awesome!" He grinned. "Trinity Spin!"

The attack was extremely strong, throwing the monster back into a retreat. As he looked back up to the others, he saw that Lovino had left and the others were hesitant on approaching him. It was then that Gilbert realized that the mask over his eyes had indeed altered his image.

"Oh come on! You guys are totally unawesome!" He called up to them. "I haven't changed! I'm still me!"

"My goodness…he really did inherit the Spirit of Power!"

The others watched as Spaimon and Englamon jumped down the cliffs to get a further look at the man before them. Gilbert was getting rather annoyed by their bouncing around before he got dizzy and dropped down to his knees, his form turning back to normal. Francis quickly jumped in and grabbed him.

"Are you OK, Gilbert?"

"…freakin'…dizzy." He tried to sit up. "Totally unawesome."

"But that was really cool…" Peter blinked in awe. "C-can I be like that?"

"If this world is going to make us like that…" Gilbert sighed. "Maybe."

"Who the hell is this guy?"

Everyone stared as the figure before them was subduing Tectonic Knight with a flick of his wrist. What really traumatized Lovino was that despite the different color and the tighter robe on the rather fragile figure, the form looked exactly like him…a resemblance that made him tremble.

"Hey, Gilbert!" Elizabeta called. "Don't worry! We're coming to get you!"

"Don't be freakin' heroes! This guy's strong!" Gilbert jumped to the side. "Besides, you'd get in the way of my awesomeness…"

"Ce que…we should get a hold in there."

"Right!" Peter brought up his D-Tector. "Spirit…EVOLUTION!"

They all spun in the air, leaving Spaimon and Englamon to hide in the back while the others charged into the fray. The lights were clashing each other, not phasing the man before them whatsoever, even when their Spirit forms became clearly visible to his eyes.

"PIRATE COMMANDANT!"

"TRANSFORMER BEAST!"

"RONCSOLASOS WARRIOR!"

"SACERDOTE DELLA LUCE!"

Gilbert looked up as the four of them charged over his head and spun toward the man with all the strength in their bones. He quickly threw them off, knocking all of them to the ground, but was a little startled when he saw Francis quickly jump to his feet.

"You need more than that to keep a Frenchman on his back…" He grinned, adjusting his pirate hat. "Wind of the Roses!"

The tornado was nothing compared to the man's attack, charging right in front of Francis and knocking him back to a standing Gilbert. Lovino took no chance in attacking him again, flashes of light countering flashes of darkness in what could be the biggest fight yet.

"Tell me who you are, you bastard!" Lovino spat.

"…I have nothing to tell you." The man answered. "Bianco Lancia."

Gilbert looked up in shock as a huge spear skewered through Lovino's body, dropping him onto the ground before turning to leave them all. Elizabeta quickly ran to Lovino's bleeding form as Gilbert looked up at the direction that he had fled. Who the hell could that guy be…?

/= [FRONTIER] =/

Did they seriously just beat that dude?

Gilbert and Lovino quickly reverted back to their original forms as Spaimon and Englamon joined them into seeing the man crash into a nearby valley. They quickly ran to his location, slowing only when they thought of the dangers that they might face when they approach him. A glow caught their attention, and Gilbert was the first person to peek through.

"Whoa…he dropped his form."

"He what?"

"He was just like us…he had a spirit and everything…"

Lovino didn't even think about it as he walked past the man and looked into the indent, seeing a boy barely waking up from consciousness. He stormed toward the boy, causing him to whimper and back up with a sense of fear that he couldn't help but think he'd seen before.

"Tell me who you are, you bastard." He spat again.

The boy said nothing, looking down.

"Tell me who the HELL you are!"

The boy whimpered, like a dog being whipped, forcing Gilbert to intervene. He quickly grabbed Lovino's shoulders before he had a chance to strangle the bastard.

"Don't push him, dude." Gilbert stated.

"Well, I'm sorry if this guy didn't try to kill us so many freakin' times."

"…Feliciano."

"Eh?" Lovino looked up.

"…my name is…Feliciano. Feliciano Vargas." The boy looked up. "I was named after my mother…"

"…Felicia?" Lovino filled in the blanks.

"Yes…that is my mother." He looked back down. "My father's name is-"

"Romulus…isn't it?"

The boy nodded. It was then that Gilbert saw something interesting: the both of them look almost exactly the same. They could be twins, for all he knew! Twins…are they?

"…oh god, don't you freakin' tell me…"

"My grandmother told me on her deathbed…that I had a brother that I never knew…named…Lovino."

The man next to Gilbert was in shock, gesturing as of trying to say something before turning his head and storming out of the indent, leaving them all alone.

Well, that was a pretty weird chapter. But nonetheless, Frontier is a good chunk of my memories.
