Our Compromise
"Damnit." He sighed, running a sweaty hand through his hair. "Shit-"
"Draco?" a small voice whispered through the door of the bedroom, "Is-is anything wrong? Misty told me you wanted me…"
"Yes Astoria. I need to speak to you." He hissed, not moving from the spot. The door slowly opened, her face scrunching up more and more as she walked in to see him; she knew he was angry… it was in his eyes. She winced as he stamped his foot into the floor.
::::
"So you told her off, huh?" Pansy clicked her tongue, and her eyes twinkled. "Good. She shouldn't have done that."
"That's what I told her. She had no right to say, and I quote, 'Can't tell you.'
"Well she was caught in the act so to speak. If I were in her shoes, I would have done that too. With everything on her mind, she wouldn't see it coming, ya know? It is an excuse-"
"That's a load of shit is what it is," Draco snapped, "Hell, I don't even know why she opened her mouth in the first place. That's the problem with her…" he trailed off. Pansy rolled her eyes, Blaise doing the same moments later.
"And what would Scorpius have done had she not said anything?" Blaise asked, cocking an eyebrow with and amused smile on his face, "Though I do almost agree with you on what she says and doesn't say. She's always been a blabbermouth, since our Hogwarts years." He joked, a smirk lifting on his face but disappearing after Draco gave him a glare.
Pansy rubbed his arm soothingly, "He has a point. If she didn't say anything, Scorpius would have just got more curious, and that would have been…." She paused, rolling her tongue around her two front teeth, and smiling, "Embarrassing for her." Draco smirked at that one.
"She's always been embarrassed…with her virginity still intact." Blaise remarked, "I'm still surprised that you did do that to your father."
"Who cares? He means nothing to him. But that is out of this conversation. Wouldn't want Scorpius to hear that now do we?" Pansy inquired, resting a hand on her chest, close to her belly.
"Don't worry about him. He's spending the day with his grandmother." replied Draco. "Besides, he'd just go to Granger again about it. I can't let that happen…"
At that moment, Pansy let a small 'ouch' fly out of her lips, along with a string of curse words. Blaise turned toward her, looking at her nervously. She just clenched her skirt. Draco had a smirk on his face, not acknowledging her pain at all, but calmly asking, "How's it working for you, Pans?"
"It's a pain. If I knew sex with Ron was going to be this hardcore, I wouldn't have done it." She answered, pretending she didn't hear a whispered insult fly from Blaise's mouth seconds later. Draco nodded, putting his head into his hands once again, just like the day before.
They were once together-Blaise and Pansy. They were married for four years, all for the wealth and pureblood status. But they never loved one another; they were just good friends was all. So after a few years they finally came to a compromise, and divorced, leaving Blaise widowed. Pansy remarried with Ron who had been going out with her before their seventh year came to an end and the marriage contract came into place. Ron knew of what Draco was going through because of Pansy, and now…
Draco sighed. He was frustrated with the situation. It had been eight simple and non-difficult years that they kept their mouths shut, and too many for Astoria apparently. That's why he trusted Blaise and Pansy with this—secret so to speak. (It wasn't really a secret since Scorpius was just too damn smart for his age.)
He needed to figure out the solution to this mess. He had two ways, but both would in time fail. One: To permit him to visit Hermione again, or Two: His 'mum' was just joking. It was just a foolish day was all?
Damn it all to hell. "What do I do?" he asked.
::::
So the way they went was easy to say the least. All Draco knew was after they left, he had a smile on his face. He knew this'd work.
::::
"Bloody hell, woman! Don't scare me like that! I couldn't have been dressed!" Ron screeched, watching his wife walk into the room from the floo. She picked a bit of nonexistent fuzz off his shirt. "And what's so bad about that, exactly?"
He felt his ears turn red, a Weasley trait. "W-well- I'm not r-really sure. It's still…." He broke into an embarrassed whisper, "awkward is all." By then, his face was a bright pink.
Pansy smiled and giggled, wrapping her arms around his stomach, as much as a pregnant woman could at least. In return he pulled her close and squeezed her into a gentle hold, letting his nose rest atop her jet black hair. He pulled back, resting his large hand on her belly, right when he felt a slight kick. He gasped, and kissed her lips as a smile lit her face. She kissed back, wrapping her fingers around his neck before moving her mouth away minutes later.
"I need to tell you about it, don't I?" She breathed, still a bit short of breath. He nodded, and maneuvered them over to the bed where she began the explanation.
"So Draco, Blaise, and I talked in a plan for Scorpius…"
::::
'Dear Scorpius,
I know things are hard right now with your mum, but I'm sure it will work out soon.
Swoosh.
I'm here for you no matter what is going on. I'm sure that everything is fine with your father.
Clank. Crash.
Your father…
Bang.
Draco.
"Damn it! Why can't I get this right?" Hermione exclaimed, throwing her quill down and picking up the sheet of paper for the umpteenth time. She crumbled it up, throwing it towards the direction of the rubbish bin where a pile of burned letters sat.
She had been writing notes to Scorpius for an hour now, but she just couldn't find the correct words to say to him. She was also part of this master plan of Draco's, and was to engage in part 1 of 'non-suspicious Scorpius'. Weird title for an operation, but it had to do for now.
"What to say…what to say to him? He's Scorpius for Merlin's sake! And I just can't give out any bad information- so what shall I say?" she asked herself this multiple times before a reply was boasted upon her.
"Why not something simple like, "Hey Scorpy, I hope everything is going fine at home, miss you tons-oh, and also I'm your mother in secret. Sorry for keeping it from you."
"Don't tempt me to hex you, Malfoy."
"Oh, so it's back to Malfoy now?"
She pulled her hand through her frizzy curls and turned to said boy-no, man- sitting on her lounge chair. She gave him a glare. He smirked, "Just stating the facts here, Granger. You can't think of one small thing to say to Scorpius in order to keep our plan up? Are you giving up now?"
"I'm serious, Malfoy."
"So am I. So start writing." He replied, a bored expression stamped on his face. She groaned, and sulked back to her own chair, picking her quill up and dipping it into the ink.
Dear Scorpy...

Flashback:
1996-March
"Hold on, let me let this sink in for just a moment." Draco put his hand up to his forehead, moving it through his hair. Pansy crossed her arms over her chest, throwing her short hair over her shoulder.
"It doesn't have to be so dramatic, you know. I just told you not to freak out."
"Am I, Pans? Am I freaking out?"
Pansy threw her hands up, exasperated by his reaction. "It's just Ron! For god's sake, if you gave him a chance…"
"PMS, I'm assuming?" Draco interrupted, a chuckle resounding in the empty common room. "Don't worry, Pans. I'm just kidding. But…" he paused, "Weasley? This is who you see? This is who you-dare I say the word- love?" he asked as he looked towards Pansy who had taken a seat.
She nodded. "I know it's him. It has to be. And he's a pureblood, so I don't see any problems with-"
"Hold on, are you thinking of marrying the bloke? Good grief, woman!"
"-and she would be agreeable if I told her my true feelings. I know it's not right to be this way, but…" she trailed off, a smile on her face. She hardly wore one if you had asked Draco himself. "…he makes me feel whole. Like I belong for a reason."
Draco paused. He pondered just what she had meant, and knew she had had a rough childhood, but now they were in their sixth year. She had matured, and found someone who liked her for just being her. He wasn't so sure about it being Weasley of all people, but if she was happy than he was too.
"Besides, now I think I feel what Granger makes you feel." Pansy responded, her eyes focused on her lap. Draco's head leaped up at said girl's name. What on earth did she mean? She knew how he felt? That-that 'full' feeling that he always had when he was around Hermione?
He smiled, but for two reasons, "I'm glad you're happy, Pans. Congratulations."
Someone felt it too.
So, I suck. It's been… (Looks at calendar) (Throws it away quickly)
This has been in my documents for quite some time now, and I am finally done with the chapter. Thank god. And to put it straight-forward, school sucks and so does Fan fiction. Because once you get into something you like, you will want to write Fanfics for it. And when that happens… all I have to say is Good luck. Because it SUCKS!
Disclaimer: If I was J.K Rowling, then why would I need to write a disclaimer in the first place? But siriusly. HP does not belong to me and neither does anything else but the plot.
