Lucy's POV

My heart was pounded as the boy in front of me leaned on his knees and panted heavily. What do I do, what do I do? I thought frantically, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot as I waited for the guy to catch his breath.

"Oh c'mon! I ran all the way over here for ice prince— wait who are you?" He questioned.

"I'm Lucy. Can I, uhh, have a little help?"

"Sorry, it's my duty in life to never help frost balls."

I sighed for the millionth time, all I wanted was to take a bath. "Well, where's the infirmary then?" I once again grabbed the black-haired boy's foot and struggled to keep dragging him across the tiled floor when I was stopped by a large hand on my shoulder.

"You're new? I thought it was just a rumor that we were getting a new kid!" The pink haired boy bounced on the balls of his feet and sent me a huge grin. "I'm Natsu!"

I hesitantly smiled back, "Does this mean you'll help me? I had to pull him all the way from the principal's office and he is really heavy."

Natsu gave a hearty laugh and swung his arm around my shoulder. "First you drag him on the ground and now you call him heavy?! You're definitely my new favorite person, Luce!"

Luce?! Who is this guy?

In the ten minutes it took to carry the unconscious guy to the nurse, Natsu and I had became fast friends, bonding over our love of tater tots and the Harry Potter movies. We decided to have a marathon soon and I could tell that, however annoying he was, we were going to be close.

We dumped the boy, I think his name was Beige or Gray or something, in the infirmary with the scary nurse, Porlyusica. (What is up with all the scary ladies?) Walking in comfortable silence, I noticed that Natsu still hadn't removed his arm from around me. It made me painfully aware of how his muscular six-foot-something frame dwarfed my tiny five-foot body.

"What dorm are you in?" Natsu asked suddenly, jolting me out of my thoughts. "Maybe I can introduce you to some people."

I grimaced, "I'm not super good at meeting people, especially when there's a lot of them."

"Huh? You met me and ice face?"

"Gray was unconscious and, well you're different... with you it feels like we've been friends for years."

"Yeah," Natsu nodded. "It really does. I know you're shy, but you'll have to meet people someday."

"Fine, I'll go, but you have to come."

"I was already going to weirdo! Just tell me what dorm it is."

"I am NOT weird! And it's called Fairy Tai— KYAAAAAAAA!"

A loud whoop rang through the air, Natsu threw me over his shoulder and sprinted off in an unknown direction.

"I'm wearing a skirt!"
"Put me down!"
"NATSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
