Hey guys srry it took so long.
Hidden Behind the Blue
Chapter Two_ They're Back and She's Gone
They went upstairs into the shop section of the building. "Ichigo-sama, would you please tell me what the hell is going on?" Makota hopped up onto the counter then crossed her legs. Milo curled up beside her. "Kisuke won't spit it out. Do I have to ring his neck to get an answer?"
"No, Makota," Ichigo chuckled slightly. For a minute there she sounded like her father in a way. Sometimes she could be the exact opposite of him and other times she could be his clone.
"Ichigo, I need to talk to you, privately." Urahara looked over the edge of his fan, out from underneath his striped hat.
Ichigo knew that look. "Sure," Ichigo followed Urahara into the hall, "We'll be right back, Makota. Just sit tight."
"Sure." Makota nodded. When Ichigo closed the door behind him Makota quietly went up to the door and listened.
"What is going on, Kisuke? Why is Makota pissed?" Ichigo asked.
"We have a problem." Urahara folded up his fan.
"What exactly would that be Kisuke?" Ichigo leaned against the wall.
"Makota has developed the ability to create a Cero." He said seriously.
Ichigo's mouth fell open, "You can't be serious."
"I'm quite serious, Ichigo. We have to tell her."
"Tell her what? Tell her that we lied about her dad, who's not really dead, who's an Arrancar and an Espada, and she's an Arrancar too?"
Makota's eyes widened she roughly rolled open the door. Ichigo and Urahara looked at her. "Me, an-an Arrancar? Shut up!" She exclaimed.
"Makota, you have to understand," Ichigo said.
"Oh, I understand that you guys lied to me about all those stories, that Arrancars are real, and my father isn't dead! When you knew how badly…"
"Makota we lied to you to protect you from the Soul Society," Urahara explained.
"You all still lied…" Makota said with a snarl but with hurt in her eyes. Ichigo looked at her. All of them froze when strong Spiritual Pressures descended upon them. "Who's Spiritual Pressures was that?" Makota looked up at the ceiling then down to see that the two were gone. Makota growled, "Oh come on!" She grabbed her sheathed Zanpaku-to and headed for the door, "Let's go Milo." Milo meowed and followed after her.
She ran as fast she could with Rei Pantera in its sheath on her back and Milo on her shoulder. "I can't believe those two ditched us! When I get ahold of those two…" She skidded to a stop when she felt the Spiritual Pressures again. She ducked into the bushes. Milo hopped off her shoulder. She peeped through the bushes to see Urahara and Ichigo facing two men. They had masks, each a Zanpaku-to, and in white outfits. One was tall and buffed, and looked like a bonehead. The other made Makota's heart jump, he was handsome with black hair, green eyes and green tear marks.
Makota gasped "These guys aren't ordinary hollows…they're…they're Arrancars…" Makota was awestruck. "…Ulquiorra and Yammy," She said, recognizing them from her master's stories.
She snarled when Yammy went towards Ichigo and aimed his hand at him. His hand started to glow with the formation of a Cero. Makota drew Rei Pantera, "Hunt and devour all enemies in your path, Rei Pantera!" She said and threw her Zanpaku-to. As soon as she let go the sword transformed into a huge boomerang and sought out its prey.
All four men looked in her direction when a loud noise came from the trees as well the sound of branches cracking. An Elusive object severed Yammy's arm and returned to its origin.
Yammy's arm fell heavily to the ground with a thud. Ichigo and Urahara looked in her direction surprised.
Makota came out into the open, "Some friends you are; taking off without giving me the heads up and hogging the bad guys all to yourselves," She went up to them, "I gotta say I'm disappointed in you jerks but did you honestly believe that I would just stand idly by and let you guys have all the fun? I don't think so!"
"There's another one?" Ulquiorra wondered to himself and looked at her thinking. Silently, he observed her.
"Who the hell are you?" Yammy snarled.
"Makota, get out of here!" Ichigo told her even though he knew she wouldn't listen.
"Anyone who dares to harm my family gets their ass handed to them," She told Yammy twirling her Zanpaku-to by the strap with just the simple movement of a single wrist.
Yammy laughed loudly. Makota aimed her hand and let her Cero to start surfacing. She let it fully develop then she released it. Before it could come in contact with Yammy Ulquiorra appeared between him and the attack. He swatted it away.
Makota and her mentors looked at him. Makota looked Ulquiorra in the eye, but not with resentment but curiosity. "Ulquiorra," His name slipped through her soft lips. The two Arrancars vanished in flashes of color.
"What in the world are you doing here Makota?" Ichigo asked her pulling Makota out of her daze.
"I came to look for you two. Why the hell did you ditch me like that? You know what, never mind. What were they doing here?"
"We don't know after so many years of them not coming to this world we thought we would never see any of them again." Urahara answered as they started to walk back towards town.

She came in and slammed the door behind her and Milo. Milo curled up on the couch. "What's wrong, Makota?" Her mother looked at her from the TV. Makota ignored her and went to the kitchen. Orihime followed her, "Makota, you know I don't like you ignoring me." Makota said nothing as she took out some juice and a glass. "Makota, please talk to me." Her mother said. Makota snarled; she squeezed the glass so hard that it shattered all over the place. Orihime gasped, "Makota, what on earth is wrong with you?"
A panther-like growl ripped through her teeth from deep within her throat. Makota slammed her hand and the glass down on the counter and turned around. Her irises were glowing pure aquamarine blue, like they did whenever she was seriously pissed off. Her canine teeth or in this case "feline" teeth were sharper than normal. Sea-foam green markings appeared underneath her eyes and went up to the tips of them. Pushed any further and she would definitely snap. "FOR SIXTEEN YEARS YOU COULDN'T FIND A DAMN SPARE MINUTE TO TELL ME THAT MY FATHER IS ONE OF THE ESPADA AND NOT DEAD WHEN YOU KNEW HOW BADLY I WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MY PAPA!?" Makota hadn't used the word "Papa" since she was a little girl but she accidently let it slip out. Every birthday wish, Christmas wish, a wish on the first star, whatever, she always wished for the same thing, her Papa. She never seen him, but she loved him with all her heart.
Orihime could barely make out small unshed tears lining Makota's bottom eyelashes.
"Makota!" Ichigo and Urahara walked in. Ichigo crossed his arms over his chest and gave his student a stern look, "That's enough."
Makota looked at her mentor, searching his eyes. She took a deep breath then her eyes returned to normal, her sharp teeth went back, the marks under her eyes faded away slowly. Makota looked at Orihime, "I'm sorry," She said sincerely. She never got angry with her mother that way, until now.
Orihime went to her and stroked her cheek, "No sweetheart I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Makota hugged her mother.
Makota looked at Ichigo, who mouthed, "I'm sorry." He nodded.
################### (Midnight)
"Makota," Urahara was surprised when he opened the door and saw his niece with her cat and Zanpaku-to, "What are you doing here so late?" His niece was a little intimidating in a way; she was tall for her age, she was sixteen and already five foot eight.
"I think you know, Kisuke," Makota sat down her weapon down for a minute.
"Humor me," He folded his fan, which closed with a soft click.
Makota sighed, "I want you to open a portal to Hueco Mundo."
"What," Urahara exclaimed.
"You heard me, Kisuke, I want you to send me to Hueco Mundo," Makota said as her too long hair took flight in the warm summer breeze.
"Makota, I don't think that you understand; that is extremely dangerous."
"I'm not afraid."
"Yes, I know, but the Vasto Lordes there will kill you without a second thought." Urahara told her.
"No they won't, I can take 'em."
"But the Espada are a different story…"
Makota sighed again, forcing herself to be patient with Urahara, "Kisuke, listen, my father will know who I am."
"Makota, he has never seen you before; he doesn't even know that you exist."
"He'll sense it."
"Makota even if he did you don't know if he'll accept you." Ichigo told her.
Makota sighed, "I'll have to take that chance. I want to see him. Ichigo-sama, I love you so much and you've been like a father to me," She went to him, "You know that. But you and I both know that you'll never be able to fill the space where he's supposed to be. Please…"
"Kisuke open the Garganta," Ichigo told the shop owner. Makota smiled and hugged Ichigo tightly.
"Ichigo!"
"She'll be okay, she's a big girl." "Open the Garganta." Ichigo looked at Urahara.
Kisuke sighed, "As you wish."
