The ambulance arrived within a few minuets; the paramedics took Bridget's vitals, put her on the gurney and loaded her into the ambulance. Horatio drove him and Boa Vista to the hospital directly following the ambulance. When they arrived to the emergency room Bridget was put into a room Horatio explained what happened to the doctor and then the he went to work.

After about 15 minuets the doctor exited her room and began to discuss his findings with Horatio and Natalia.

"Mr. Caine, Ms. Boa Vista, it appears to be some sort of flu, I will have to do more testing but-" Before the doctor could finish Horatio interrupted him.

"Are you sure it is nothing more serious?" Horatio asked

"As of right now I do not believe so, but we will have to wait to find out." The doctor replied

Horatio grunted, he knew this was how things worked but that didn't stop him from becoming slightly agitated.

"Can you at least rush her samples?" Horatio asked

"I will do the best I can Lieutenant." The doctor replied slightly irritated

Natalia looked at Horatio, she was angry with him for pissing the doctor off.

"Horatio what is wrong with you" Natalia snapped

"Nothing." Horatio replied with a sigh, looking down at the floor then into Bridget's room.

"Oh my god!" Natalia's face lit up "it's what Bridget said at the lab, you feel the same way don't you! She playfully slapped his arm.

Horatio's piercing blue eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost, was it really that obvious?

"Uh…" H didn't know what to say

Natalia looked at him and smiled, she knew this wasn't the time or the place to discuss this but she was fairly excited at the thought of her two friends being together.

"What time is it?" Horatio muttered slightly embarrassed by the interaction that just took place

"Holy shit, it's 3am" Natalia said, "I didn't think we were in the lab for so long.

"Me neither" Horatio looked down at the ground blaming himself

"I'm glad you called me" Natalia looked into Bridget's room "poor thing, she is so sick"

"I know." Horatio was becoming short with Natalia; he felt this was his fault he has clearly seen she was unwell and still decided to leave.

"Should we call the others or wait until morning?" Natalia asked her boss

With a sigh Horatio replied "We could send them a text, I want you to go home and get some more rest before work in the morning."

Natalia was surprised. Horatio hates hospitals.

"H, are you sure?" She asked

"Yeah, I'll stay here with Ms. Anderson" Horatio's voice was now more anxious than angry.

Natalia left as Horatio approached Bridget's room. He pulled up a chair to her bedside and grabbed her hand. In that moment he thought of Marisol and when she was shot. He was feeling the same fear now as he was then. Horatio glanced up at the clock, 4:30am. He sighed, laid his head on her mattress and fell asleep.
