I'm so so so sorry for keeping this from you for so long. I wish I had a reason, but I simply forgot to upload it.
I know it's short, but I hope you'll like it. I'd like to close this story now. So thanks for reading!
It was exactly one year after Jane and Maura had left as Leane and Taryn, when two women entered the cemetery. One was tall and had straight black hair, the other was smaller, dark brown and soft curls framing her face.
It was autumn and cold, and their faces were hidden beneath hats and scarves.
Holding hands they searched for a specific grave. They came to rest in front of a rather big tombstone.
In loving memory of Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles, who lived for each other and continue to live together.
There was a picture of two hands holding each other engraved in the middle of the stone, mimicking the two women standing in front of it.
"It's wonderful." the smaller one said.
They turned towards each other and kissed, celebrating the live they had while mourning the one they had lost.
A few minutes later a man joined them. The taller woman jumped towards him. "God Frankie, I missed you so much!"
He laughed, hugging the woman towards his chest.
"Do I know you?" He joked. "I'm sorry I didn't get your names." He said while hugging the smaller woman, too. "Oh I'm sorry." the raven haired said. "I'm Leane Michaels and this" she pulled the brunette to her side "this is my wife, Taryn Michaels."
They smiled at each other lovingly while Frankie's eyes went wide. "You got married?" They nodded eagerly. "Congratulations!"
They spent the day talking about their lives, about Frost and Korsak, and of course about Angela, Tommy and TJ. The women were surprised that Angela and Constance still held contact, and Frankie explained that they visited the grave together quite often. "It's perfect by the way." the taller woman stated.
Before separating again, Frankie took the women to a restaurant out of town. Without all the thick clothing he took a better look at his sister and her wife. They obviously had gained weight, both looking healthy with rosy cheeks and red lips.
He knew he had done the right thing.
