A/N:Sorry for the delay! We've been very busy! Here's (a short) chapter 3!

Chapter 3

*Haze's POV*

We waited in the living room until he arrived. The roar of his unmistakable engine could be heard at the very end of the street. I bounced off the couch, having Iris follow right behind me. Peeking out the window, I caught a glimpse of yellow pass by our house but it didn't stop. Instead it swerved up into the yard and into the backyard without hesitation. "What is he doing?" I asked, not to myself but to Iris. She shrugged lightly in reply, running over to the back window to look. She didn't find anything but darkness, so we sat tight on the couch. Awaiting his return.

Five minutes later, the doorbell rang. We froze, turning slowly to the door.

"Who's gonna get it?" Again Iris shrugged. We both got up and the doorbell rang again followed by a knock. I let her open the door. We both stopped in shock at the man standing on our doorstep.

"You?!" I yelled, half- excited half- still in shock. The yellow and black camaro sat in our driveway next to our car, still running. The big blue eyed blond smiled immediately as he saw us, leaning slightly on the door frame with one arm.

"Ello, Good to see you again. Little late though." He replied, humor in his boyish tone, as he looked at the sky. Iris looked at him suspiciously, but didn't bother to point anything out. "So my friend said that you had a con problem? And so terribly sorry for his absence, he was sent out to do something else. I was the only one left so I decided to help."

"Yeah... we have a "con" problem... Your one of them arn't you?" Iris said, stepping closer to him.

"A con?! Oh no no dea-"

"No. One of those robot things." He instantly frowned at the word "things" but perked right back up. "Yeah. I am. I'm one of the "things". Just as your a squishy." He smirked, leaning towards her now. "Squishy? That sounds gross." I laughed, trying to break the sudden tension in the air. Iris rolled her eyes and then smiled a little. "Yeah, it does."

"Alright, now that we have that covered. Where's the con?"

"Er, well. It landed in the woods." I quickly replied.

"And we haven't seen it since." Iris finished. "The case of a missing decepticon... Sounds terrifying. Well my guess is, is that's it's completely gone. I didn't find anything except a landing spot. But no con to be found, Sorry."

"Oh."

"I gotta go. See you later." He waved a little, turning to walk away but both me and Iris grabbed him by the hoodie. The fear of it still hung with us, and we couldn't take to being alone.

"Can we go with you?!" I asked, but then Iris let go. She shook her head to the idea.

"Um, no. We're not going with him. He'll take us to all the other ones."

"We'd be protected there! There's only one of him, and if we stay here and it does come back, though I don't doubt your abilities, something might happen to him and we'll be all alone!" He turned now, still grinning but now a little more serious.

"Thanks but I have a job. I can't stay here, Iris. I'd gladly take you to our base though. Chief has been wanting to talk to you anyways." She seemed to growl somewhat at the idea. Causing him to stop smiling, and flutter his big blue eyes at her. "What, are you scared of little ol' me? Afraid I'm gonna do something to you?"

"N-no! You look too...-"

"Then come with me. I'm the best damn guardian on your planet." If I wasn't mistaken it sounded like he was slightly offended by her.

"Fine." She pushed past him, marching all the way to his door. "I'm not scared of any cocky big blue eyed blonde robot.." She muttered as she went. I followed closely, closing and locking the door behind us. He followed in pursuit, automatically opening the doors for us.

"One of you can sit in the driver's seat if you want."

"Where are you going to sit?" I didn't get a answer, because there was no one to give one. I looked all around for the guy but he was completely gone. So Iris, trying to be as brave as she could, climbed into the driver's side as I got in the passenger. The radio suddenly burst to life, scaring the living hell out of the both of us. 'Sit tight... I'm your host.. BumbleBee.' It played in parts, switching between different channels.

"Bumblebee? What kind of name is-" Iris suddenly shot a glare at me, returning me to silence. Damn- She's getting antsy these days.

"It's an exceptionally adorable name, Haze." She mumbled, getting a warm reply from Bumblebee. No really... the interior kinda warmed up slightly. Maybe this is his way of a blush? The camaro backed out of the driveway, returning to its normal temperature. Then started speeding down the road, causing me to smile in thrill at the rumble of his engine.

[Iris POV]

We got to a base, a military base that I've always known was there but never knew it was involved in something like this. The giant bay doors opened slowly as soon as bumblebee grew near. As if they were awaiting his return. When we actually got inside the base, Bee stopped and let us out before revving his engine, backing out and leaving us here. For such a large base, it was surprisingly empty , or at least this part of it was. I glanced at Haze, who eyes were wandering all around the room and not paying any attention to me. She didn't seem bothered by any of this but I was completely freaked out. Maybe it was just me, maybe I was overreacting? I somehow doubt that but I'll give it a shot that I might be exaggerating the whole thing. After a couple of minutes of silence and us standing in the middle of this room awkwardly, I gave a little cough.

"Umm...well..."

"Is...something supposed to happen?" She's asking me!? Suddenly a silver porsche drove up and a dark skinned man, wearing a pair of blue sunglasses and silver chains on his pants, stepped out.

"Yo! Did ya miss me little ladies?" His voice unsurprisingly held a deep soul tone and surprising us. I looked at Haze, who glanced at me, and back to him, then back to each other.

"Um...have...have we met?" I ask, cocking my head to the side.

"You do sound familiar though." Haze interjected, raising an eyebrow and studying him.

"Yeah, we've met! Well...kinda..I think we kinda scared you the first time." He grinned, walking up to us.

"Da names Jazz and you are Iris." he pointed to me "..and you are Haze." he gestured to Haze. She looked him up and down, stepping towards him with amusement in her eyes.

"Your the yelling bot aren't you?" He chuckled and placed a hand on top of the pixie-like girl's head.

"I made a bad first impression on ya I can see... Sorry bout that." She shrugged and backed away from him. " The boss-man isn't here right now. So how bout I show ya around tha base?" I glanced at Haze, who didn't even seem to notice my hint of worry. She looked like she wasn't even affected by any of this!

"Sure! What about you Iris?" "Um.. Okay." I replied slowly. The hyped girl took my arm as the autobot named Jazz began to lead us around.

"So this is ma crib. Sorta boring I guess. Just that berth-" What's a berth?" -and that random aft pile of junk." He pointed out, gesturing wildly. He started pointing things out, talking a bit more faster. Naming things that usually would have normal names like bed but instead he called them weird things. I finally got the nerve to actually say something about it.

"I know you probably don't notice but your calling some of these things weird names. Can you at least explain it a little?" Haze nodded in agreement at Iris's complaint.

"Ah sure... I don't know many human names tho."

"Do the best you can, bro bro." The pixie beside me chanted, patting him on the shoulder. He continued leading us, taking us through the base one room at a time. Most of the rooms were very large, each having their own purpose for existing. The last room was a giant training area. It was located in another building but was connected with a hall. There were soldiers here, shooting pistols and practicing combat with each other. Two of the well built soldiers were talking to one of the autobots who we had met yesterday.

"Hides? Wasn't that his name?" I asked, tapping Haze on the shoulder to get her attention. She glanced over at the trio and nodded.

"Yeah I think it was."

"His designation is Ironhide." A soldier mumbled, looking at us with a gruff expression. Jazz shot the soldier a small glare and then began walking over to the bulky black armored robot.

"Yo Hides'! What the slag are ya doin'?" The top kick turned, gruffly smirking at Jazz.

"I'm teaching these fleshlings how to shoot properly." I scoffed at him, furrowing my eyebrows in frustration.

"Are you saying humans can't shoot?" I quick spoke up, stepping up beside Jazz. That's one thing I hate; When someone accuses me, never mind my whole race, of not being able to shoot. That and because I'm a girl are usually the main reasons I get ticked off..

"Yeah." He replied, smug-like. That's it for me. I marched right over to one of the soldiers, tapping them on the shoulder when they went to reload their pistol.

"May I borrow that for a second? I need to prove a point." He nodded, handing me the reloaded pistol and a pair of ear plugs.

"I'll just go get another one, don't worry about it. Name's Epps by the way. Just call me if ya need me to beat up any of these bots for you." With that he walked away. I turned to look up at Ironhide.

"Do you want to see how well a human can shoot?" He chuckled lightly.

"Sure, little femme." I ignored his odd name for me and loaded the gun, aiming right at the target. Both hands perfectly steady on the handle, both eyes open for more precision. I squeezed the trigger sending the raging bullet straight into the heart of the fake dummy.

"Why do you use two hands, femme?" He remarked not paying attention to the perfect marks-womenship.

"Because my other hand isn't busy enough." I resorted, snorting at him.

"Here then." Hides' bent over a soldier, plucking the tiny gun from it's hands. Dropping it at my feet.

"Show me, squishy." I picked it up, reloading it and then cocking it back. I quickly turned, not facing my dummy but one across the room, hitting it in the heart and head with lightning reflexes. It was a good forty feet from me.

"Not good enough." I stomped my foot and turned on him, aiming for his head... or what ever they call it.

"Bite me."

"Your just as bad as these lowlifes around here." That really set me off. I immediately pulled the trigger, the bullets hitting him but reconciled bouncing off the ceiling and finding their resting spot right next to a surprised Soldier. This caused the giant to nearly die of laughter, causing the ground to shake a little.

"Maybe your right, Iris... We'll get along just fine."

"What?" Ironhide only laughed more, shaking his head, and dismissing us with a hand. Jazz led us away, gesturing towards another room and letting us go through first. It turned out to be a huge gym, like the kind you play basketball in. Several men were running around the court, harshly playing a game of ball. The sound of the basketball smacking the ground sounded off the walls loudly, causing the shouts of the guys to be muffled. Suddenly one of them stopped, catching a glimpse of us, making two other guys plow into him and they fell to the ground in a heap.

"YO! REALLY SKIDS?! DAT HURT!" A boy who looked about 16 yelled to the one who stopped. They both looked identical, except they sported different colors.

"SHUD UP, FLAPS." The one in red yelled.

Bumblebee came running up to us, throw the ball backwards at the group. "Don't mind them. They're not very... polite?" He chuckled and motion for us to follow him."Sorry I left in such a hurry. They forgot to tell me that we were having a game on break." All of them had stopped now, meeting us at half-court in a large group.

"Iris! Haze!" Sunny yelled, pushing through the group to basically glomp Haze. She squealed in shock, falling over on the floor in a heap.

"Opps..." The bright blond chuckled and stood up, taking her hand and pulling her up. A guy that was the same height and age walked up beside the now standing Sunstreaker. He sported a spiked silver haircut, not grey... silver. A black tank and grey skinny jeans, with silver Jordans. Sunny wore just about the same thing except his pants were yellow and with Jordans were gold. They were totally twins but they attempted to try and look different. Another man around our age smiled gently at me. He was taller than me, but only by a few inches. His hair was a long blue but pale like the sky, and he wore a unbuttoned white dress shirt and grey slacks. His shoes were black swede, giving him a very loose professional look.

"Kak dyela?" His voice was very high but thick with a russian accent. "We've met before but I'll still introduce myself again...I'm Jolt." He held out a pale hand to me, still holding his smile. I cautiously took it, slowly smiling back.

"I'm Iris. Your the blue one are you not?"

"Da. That's me." He smirked, forming a small spark on his finger tips as he pulled away. "I'm a different breed than the rest here. I'm the only one here who can kill you by just touching your skin." This made me jerk away quickly and he began to laugh. "But I would never try and hurt a human unless it was necessary!" I made note to watch him with wary eyes the next hour or so.

There was one man in the back not attempting to join in on the fun. He just watched with his arms crossed, completely silent. His act was not harsh or anti-social. It just seemed like he wasn't good with these types of things. Just like me. I smiled at Jolt, gaining his attention again.

"Who... Who's he?" I asked, motioning towards the guy with curiosity.

"Oh, That's Dino. Or you can call him Mirage. He's our spy. He's really nice once you get to know him, he's just hard to crack the shell on." I nodded and glanced at Mirage again. He did hold some type of calm secrecy that just floated around him.

"Yo~ Dino! Come meet them, bro. You might actually like em'." Jazz smirked, pulling at the spy now. He didn't budge to the shorter soldier's pulling. I found that as my cue, walking up to the two, swallowing my fear.

"I-I... um.. Hi." That could of went smoother. Jazz quit pulling, nudging Mirage with an elbow.

"Come on, you gotta say somethin'. It would be rud-"

"Jazz. I was going to." His voice actually surprise me, causing me to simply stare. It was a deep, harmonic Italian accent. Something that made butter ... and my heart... melt.

"Ciao, I'm Mirage." He said, addressing me with a very small smile. "... Your... Iris, si?" I nodded.

"How'd you guess?"

"I won't lie... I heard you tell Jolt." I rose an eyebrow, cocking my head to side.

"But...But how, you were standing all the way over..here?" He cracked a small smirk, giving me a knowing look. "Ooh...right..you're a spy." Jazz laughed, slapping Mirage on the shoulder playfully.

"Yeah, Dino here is good at what he does." He leans in and pretends to whisper, "but it gets really fraggin' annoying." Jazz playfully dodged Mirage's fake shove.

"That's pretty cool...being a spy and all." The Italian nodded, still smirking.

"It has its advantages-" Suddenly one of the annoying twins popped up in between us. He wore red, and smiled at me greedily.

"YO! You should play some b-ball with us!"

"I- I don't know. I haven't played in a while." He shrugged and pushed the orange ball into my hands.

"You can do the shoot off and we'll just take it easy on ya. Yo friend is playin' too." Haze waved at me frantically, motioning for me to pass the ball.

"Your kidding me... We're going to get creamed." I muttered, sighing loudly. "Fine. Let's play then."
