At Camp Half-Blood
3rd Person POV:
Camp Half Blood was a mad house. Campers were running every which way with armor haphazardly on, grabbing weapons and running towards the pine tree where the alarm bells had been rung. During dinner, Chiron had gotten an Iris Message from Sally Jackson, who was in tears, that Perseus Jackson had gone to the park with Hannah, but he had never came back. She told him how Hannah had landed in her arms and she had been worried when Percy wasn't with her. After an hour and still no Percy, she had sent Paul to check the park. He came back empty handed, and Sally had immediately called him.
Mere minutes after the Iris Message, the alarm bells had rung at the pine tree, signaling someone or something was coming. The campers raced to the pine tree looking for an army of monsters, but only seeing one man and the two guards.
The man was wearing a black cloak that seemed to suck in all the light around it. He had the hood up so no one saw his face, but he was relatively tall and fit. What stood out most was the amount of power he radiated. If you combined all of the Olympians power together, it wouldn't even compare to the power this man held.
Chiron pushed towards the front of the crowd, and saw the man standing in front of all of them. A look of realization passed over his face before he bowed deeply. "Lord Chaos it is an honor to meet you, but if I may ask, why are you here?" Hearing this, all of the campers bowed as well.
The man waved his hand, and we all stood up. The man finally spoke after a pause. "As you all know, my name is Chaos, and I am the creator of the universe. What you probably don't know is that I have an army of soldiers and assassins to keep the universe safe and at peace. Perseus Jackson has been accepted into the army, and is safe. You are not allowed to know his rank or what he is in the army, but he thought you should know he was safe. Please inform his mother that he is safe and where he is." Before anyone could speak or ask any questions, Chaos teleported away.
One Year Later
At The Empire
Chaos' POV:
I watched Alistair carefully in his final test in training. His powers and strength had improved tremendously over the past year, and his skills with weapons had improved as well. Teaching him how to use a bow was interesting, but with my blessing it definitely wasn't impossible. With my blessing Alistair could control the elements, heal people, teleport or create portals and after his final test, the power of creation.
As his last test Alistair was fighting an army of one thousand training robots on the hardest setting. He had a scratch on his left arm, but it wasn't affecting him at all. He slashed through two more of the robots before backing up a few steps to survey what was left. He had already destroyed half of the army without using his powers at all.
Barely blinking an eye, Alistair created a ring of fire around the remaining robots, before spikes of earth and ice impaled about three hundred of them in the chest at full speed, instantly destroying them. Seconds after, lighting hit the remaining two hundred, and they exploded into metal shards.
When the dust cleared, Alistair was kneeling in the center of the arena. I smiled in delight. If any other soldier could even defeat the robot army, it would take them almost an hour, but Alistair's test only took up ten minutes. I opened the door to the arena and walked towards the assassin I had been training for the past year from how to teleport to how to use a bow. He had shown improvements that should have taken decades to accomplish, but he managed to do in a single year.
By the time I got to Alistair, he had risen and healed the gash on his arm. He had a blank look on his face which was becoming normal for him. He hadn't showed a single emotion his entire time here, and it worried everyone, including myself, greatly. He had focuse himself solely on his training, and rarely socialised.
I stared at him a moment longer before I spoke. "Alistair I am so proud of you. Achievements that should've taken years took months, and you defeated an army of the hardest robots in under ten minutes. You are a true member of the Elite Guard and the assassins. You are The Lost One, our lost Commander, and you have proved yourself worthy to Fia, which hasn't happened in centuries. After spending this entire year with you, I have started to look at you like a son, and I realise this is very abrupt, but would you let me adopt you?" During my speech I had looked at the ground, but when I looked into Alistair's eyes I saw the shock and happiness.
He managed a nod, and before he could change his mind, I placed my hand on his forehead and officially adopted him as my son. Alistair dropped to his knees as the new power was accepted into his body. Fia ran into the arena and dropped down next to her master, comforting him silently. After a few minutes, he climbed to his feet with the help of Fia.
I summoned the crown I had asked to be made in case he said yes. It was a pure obsidian crown with chaos metal mixed in, so it had swirls of a silvery white color. It was studded with sapphires. I placed the crown on his head as he bowed his head, and we teleported to the throne room where all the other assassins were waiting.
Alistair walked to the middle of the throne room, and stood there patiently. I stood in front of him and grabbed his shoulder gently. Turning towards the assassins, I raised Alistair's hand above his head and spoke. "I announce the new Commander of the Assassins and Elite Guard, The Lost One, and the Prince of the Universe, Alistair!" My voice boomed around the throne room, and the other assassins bowed their heads in respect. "Now that you are a full Assassin and the Commander, you will have your own room like all the other assassins, but you will be sent on more dangerous solo missions. You will only be sent on group missions if it is an emergency or the other assassins need serious help. Your first mission is tomorrow, so try to get some rest. Be here at six am sharp. Luke, please take Alistair to his room." I gave everyone a gentle smile after Luke nodded. I can't wait to see what Alistair can really do.
At The Assassin Hallway
Alistair's POV:
After Chaos left, Luke led me to my new room. Ever since training started, I had stayed in a guest room nearby so that nobody would find out my true identity. Miraculously, nobody had asked in depth questions about my past, but I could tell everyone was curious. It wouldn't take long for someone to get up the courage and ask.
Thanking Luke, I opened the door to my room, and said goodnight before closing it behind me. I locked the door behind me before surveying the room. There was a bed on the wall to my right and a flat screen TV directly across from it. A nightstand was directly next to the bed and on it sat a lamp. All the wood was a dark brown color, even the doors.
One of the doors led to the bathroom, and in the bathroom there was another door that led to a closet, which was full of shirts, jeans, shoes, masks, and cloaks. Some of the masks were full face masks, and the others just covered the nose up. Back in the bathroom, I took off my mask and cloak, and stared at the person in the mirror. That person was in desperate need of a shower, too. After a quick shower, I put on some black pajama pants I found in the closet, and went back to my room. I layed down on the bed, and I couldn't help but wonder what would happen tomorrow on my mission.
The next morning I woke up at 5:30 so that I could eat quickly and get dressed. Over the year of my training, I had learned to get up early and my body was used to it by now. I quickly threw on a black shirt and jeans with a full face mask and my cloak. After a quick breakfast I made my way towards Chaos' office to get my mission. By the time I got to Chaos' office it was 5:52 am. Just as I was about to knock, the doors opened to show Chaos sitting behind a desk. He waved his hand towards the seat in front of him, telling me to sit down.
I sat in the chair across from him, and he handed me a manila file. "This has all the information on the man you are going after today. Once you have completed the mission come straight back here." Chaos explained. I nodded and read the file quickly.
Name: Dava Dusta
Age: 33 years old
Crime(s): Major Drug Lord, Killed Seven Innocents
Punishment: Death
Last Seen: Godalva (Planet 36) Near Jackerson
Time Limit: One Day
"He has been causing trouble for the past few weeks, but yesterday he killed seven bystanders on a street. I need you to stop him before he kills anyone else. By ship it will take you an hour to get there. Are you ready?" Chaos asked me.
I nodded, determined to get rid of this man who had done this evil. We appeared in front of the ship yards, and Chaos saw me onto the plane before teleporting away. The second I sat down, the ship started moving through space at breakneck speeds for any normal human being.
About a hour later, the ship slowed and finally came to a stop. I stood up and the door opened. I exited the ship and looked around where we had landed. We were definitely in Jackerson, Godalva, which was where the most crime happened in the entire universe. The city was rundown and building were crumbling, but that was the best hiding spots for criminals.
I looked at my watch again to check the time, but noticed something strange. A button I had never seen before was glowing on the side of the watch, so I decided to push it. After a few seconds and nothing happening, I was about to move along when suddenly a map of the city appeared on my watch. A red dot appeared a few blocks away from where I was, and I jogged to where the dot was flashing. When I reached the spot the dot was supposed to be at, I was outside an abandoned warehouse building.
I slipped inside the warehouse silently, and I immediately had to hide behind some shipping crates because twelve men were standing inside the building already surrounding two men. One I recognized as Dusta, so the other man was probably just a drug dealer. After a few minutes of angry muttering, the dealer left empty handed. Once he was alone, I jumped on top of the shipping crates and grabbed onto a rafter in the ceiling. Pulling myself up, I balanced myself on the bar before slowly moving until I was directly over Dusta. I pulled out a dart gun and filled it with sleeping darts so that I wouldn't kill them. In under two seconds, all twelve men were down on the ground fast asleep. I dropped down in front of Dusta and a look of fear passed over his face before he covered it quickly.
"What do you want, kid? If you want drugs you got ta' pay me first, and I don't think you got tha' money." He said with a sneer on his face.
"Dava Dusta, you have killed seven innocents for no reason and are a major drug lord. Lord Chaos had ruled you guilty, and has sent me to deal the punishment. For your crimes, your punishment is death." I said emotionless, but on the inside I was freaking out. He tried to run, but with the precision of a master, I threw two throwing knives pinning him to the crate behind him.
Can you kill someone without thinking twice? Even if they are purely evil? What if he has a family? Are you going to punish them for something he did? But you've already done that, haven't you, Percy? All the other Assassins? You did it to them, so you can't do it to a stranger you don't even know? Why didn't you have a conscious all those years ago when you killed all those people? You're heartless, Percy. You're just trying to cover it up, so go ahead kill him. Prove to everyone that you truly are a murderer.
Before I could change my mind and wuss out, I stabbed the dagger through his heart. The life drained out of his eyes slowly, and I looked away. I set my hands on fire and burned the body before using the wind to move the ashes around, so that they looked like dust. I turned around and teleported back to the ship, and as we made towards The Empire, I promised myself one thing.
I will never harm an innocent person, but I will make this universe a better place.
I am so sorry that it has been so long since I updated. It's summer now, and I have a lot of ideas for this story, so I'll be updating more often. Thank you guys so much for the reviews!
