-IMPORTANT PLEASE READ-

For the sake of clarification, I'm going off of the movie verse as well as the comic books. I'll be doing a mix of Titan and IDW adaptations. I will try to make things clearer as the story progresses. Please let me know if you have any questions by private messaging. As always I love to hear your thoughts and reviews.

Blackbirds of My Remains

**Red Tail-Lights**

Sideswipe had to transform into his bipedal form to avoid hitting the blockade that had formed due to the building falling. Standing still for a moment, he soon turned around and headed towards Optimus. There was an awful lot running through his processor at once. For one, the rider didn't show up on his scanners, nor had any life signs been registering for quite some time.

"Sideswipe, I want you and Bumblebee to see if you can pick up traces of the Cybertronian and its female rider. I have a feeling she'll be able to answer what happened here." Optimus spoke, shaking Sideswipe out of his daze.

"What you mean, that rider was a femme?!" Sideswipe exclaimed. Optimus nodded however, it was Ratchet that spoke.

"From what my scanners could pick up, the motorcycle was defiantly Cybertronian and the rider was a human female. But, that's about all I could read." Ratchet explained.

"If you do happen to find her, do not engage in combat unless absolutely necessarily." Optimus added.

"You got it Boss Bot." Sideswipe replied as he transformed with Bumblebee following closely behind him.

A young male's voice interrupted his train of thought. "Optimus!" The group looked down to see Colonel Lennox and a small group of soldiers appear from around a corner.

"Colonel, any luck finding more survivors?" he asked.

The Colonel nodded, "A few, but I was informed about a high Energon spike in this area, do you know anything about that?"

The Autobot nodded as well, "Yes, it seems that Que here has been revived, but how, we do not know yet. However, there was a female here that may have an answer to all of our questions. I was just informing Bumblebee and Sideswipe and have asked that they follow the young female."

Colonel Lennox seemed thoughtful, "Interesting, will you keep me updated if you hear anything?"

The Autobot agree, but was interrupted from anything further by the medic, "I'm sorry to interrupt Colonel, but I need to get back to reattaching Opitums' arm. If you'll excuse us."

Lennox nodded, "I'll leave you to it." Lennox turned back to his men, calling it a night they all found a spot to sleep, hunkering down for the night.

The sound of two engines roaring through the empty city caught my attention as 'Blade and I watched their headlights dance in the darkness. We sat waiting for them to come into view before thrusting ourselves into their line of sight. The plan was simple really, home base was in DC, all I had to do was get them to follow me to the city limits. The reason was simple as well, I needed them to rondevu, in the city to meet up with the rest of the Autobots there. Of course they wouldn't know that. They followed and so began our chase, or game.

A sound from the back of head lulled me deeper into my mind, I trusted 'Blade to know where we were going.

'Be careful about how much energy you use, my dear.' Her voice was smooth, melodic voice whispered. 'We've already consumed quite a bit with that last feat you pulled.' I simply nodded my head, making a mental note.

Since my first fight with the Deception, the same night that I had created Fireblade, her voice was a sound that gradually grew louder in my head. Since then as well, I was in constant contact and our relationship was odd at best. I had since called her Nemo, she explained that she was what was called the All-Spark, at least by her creations. Apparently, humans called her the cube, she revealed as much as she could to me without disrupting the void she had created. Of course that was were things got complicated.

Regardless, I tried focusing on the matter at hand, getting to DC. I glanced down at the rear view mirror, the headlights of the yellow Camaro and silver Stingray kept a steady pace, maintaining their distance from us. The dark hues of the night blurred 0by in a continuous span of color. Fireblade's tires ate away at the miles of pavement beneath us, his headlights reaching into the dark abyss in front of us. It was calm, peaceful almost, however chaotic the day had been. The soft hum of the engines filled the space we traveled with a white noise that fought off the droning sounds of silence. In this one moment I could breath in the cool, somewhat salty, night air that rushed past us.

There, however faint it maybe, was a storm on the horizon. Not quite visible, but one could sense it. It electrified the air with the unknown that lay ahead. I knew this quiet would not last long, not matter how much I wanted it to. I took my hands off of the handlebars, and just stared at the stars as they slowly shifted. A constant thought waged back and forth in the back of my mind, like a constant game of tug of war. It was deep within the recesses of my mind, hidden from even the most prying of entities. What was I going to do about Ironhide? Battle had been raging since the moment I felt his spark dissipate, the pros and cons whipping about made my head spin with doubt and questions. However, in this one moment clarity shown through it all, my decision had been made.

"Fireblade?" I asked not taking my eyes away from the glittering sky, breaking the surrounding white noise.

"Yes?" he replied.

"How long have we been driving?" I questioned.

"2 hours 13 minutes, 7 seconds and counting." 'Blade answered quickly.

"I'd like to make it to DC before dawn." I said, finally taking my eyes off the night sky. Instantaneously, he sped up increasing our speed. I sighed and continued to stare blankly ahead into the inky darkness.

Ratchet sighed heavily as he worked on his commander's shredded limb. On their way back, they had found two, small missing Autobots. Wheelie and Brains had somehow managed to find the base. They had lost the two when the Autobots split up after Shockwave made himself known. Soon afterwards their signal was lost, even after the Decepticons were defeated the Autobots looked for the two but couldn't find them. Of course, since they had not been in the main fight they didn't know that Que had been off-lined. So, when Wheelie and Brains met up with Ratchet, Optimus, Mirage and Que they were surprised to hear 'revive' come up in the conversation, he let Que explain what happened at that point.

"Woa woa, hold one a sec, was this femme on a black motorcycle, wearing black gear?" Wheelie questioned suddenly.

"Hmm, indeed." came Mirage's reply in his thick Italian accent.

"Hey, Brains doesn't that sound like the female that got us out of that Decepticon ship?"

"Sure does, her bike was Cybertronian too, look like a big Doberman or something."

This peaked the interest of the Autobot leader that was sitting within earshot of the group.

"Did you actually encounter this femme?" came Optimus' baritone voice.

"Sure did," Wheelie answered as the two walked closer, "her, along with the Cybertronian, got us off of that Decepticon ship. We even asked if she was one of us, course all we got was some encrypted answer."

"Yeah, told us she was a friend and not worry, then she told us about Que over here and how he was off-lined by Shockwave after being held hostage. Course we didn't really believe her until we met up with you guys." Brains replied as well.

"Oh yeah, she said her name was Alice or something like that." Wheelie added. "Wish we had more for you that, but she was pretty secretive with her answers."

"Hmm, so it would seem." then the Autobot leader was silent once more with this newly acquired information.

The instant the two Autobots entered D.C. they lost the female. She was passing in front of a car and when they made their way around it she was gone, she didn't even have a signature to follow.

The sun still wasn't up yet by the time the two meches made it there, driving at 140 mph definitely had its advantages. They had made it from Chicago to D.C. in just over five hours. Sideswipe and Bumblebee transformed and proceeded to contact Optimus.

"Opitums, we've lost visual of the femme." Sideswipe started.

"Where are you now?" he questioned.

"D.C., it appears she wanted us to follow her." Bumblebee said simply.

"Hmm, interesting. Keep an eye out for her, we'll be moving out of Chicago at dawn but in the meantime get some rest you two. You deserve it."

Not wanting to go back to what was left of the NEST base, they decided to go to the only other place they could think of, Sam and Carly's place. Turning around the corner they soon saw Sam's parents' motor-home parked up against the building. The two Autobots didn't need to be seen and parked on the opposite end of the block. Turning off their engines they almost instantly fell into a deep re-charge state.

I stifled a yawn as we drove towards the south-eastern tip of the DC area. Our hideout wasn't too far away from the Department of Health and Human Services building that the Autobots used as cover, but it was closer to the water then I would have liked. Rolling up to Tingey St, I welcomed the sight of the red bricked building that I called home. It was fairly large at least 3 story complex, an old factory of some sort that was remodeled into an apartment complex. For one reason or another, it was never really finished, abandoned, boarded up tight, and locked up, that was of course until I came along with a pair of bolt cutter. Over half of the interior had fallen in on itself, except for a small corner that still mostly intact, pipes and all. It wasn't ideal, but it wasn't permanent either. Sighing as I got off of Fireblade, I produced several keys from my pocket. Unlocking the key bolt locks I rolled Fireblade in, locking the door behind me.

Tired and frustrated about the days events, I slowly walked to the back corner of the warehouse. Suddenly a pair of headlights came on, lighting up the room, the car twisted and transformed until it stood up. Dazed, I threw the keys that when in my hands at the figure. Both of us watched as the keys bounce off of the metal exterior and clank to the floor.

"Wow, that well huh?" came its chuckling voice. His bright blue optics seemed to dance with amusement as well. (I know Jazz talks like a gangster, but I can't write like one so just imagine he is.)

"Don't even get me started, Jazz." as sighed as I walked over to pick up my keys. The sound of the others waking up and shifting, caused me to look over at the other four. I watched as Elita-One, Chromia, Acree, and Jolt transformed into there bipedal mode.

"You two are back fairly early." Elita mention. I nodded my head.

"Indeed, I wanted to be back before dawn. I had Bumblebee and Sideswipe following me as well, so returning early became a priority." I stated simply.

"Alice..." Acree taunted.

"Yes?"I asked.

"You're doing it again." The pink warrior replied in a sing-song voice. I looked down and stared intently at the floor, finding interest in scuffing dirt around as I was sure I was blushing. It had been a recent habit of mine, however unintentional, to be very analytic. The other two sisters giggled slightly.

"Hmmm, you've depleted a fair amount of energy from your system. What exactly were you doing?" Jolt questioned, thankfully bringing attention away from the previous subject.

"Um, well, I was reviving Que, but everyone was like 2 blocks away. So, I guess I had to... do a... quick revive." I said smiling nervously at the dark blue meche. He glared needles at me.

"You know what that does to your system. It's much too hard on you and your bond with Nemo." He vented.

I sighed, "I know, I know, but we kept it in good shape. I'm fine just a little tired that's all. But what else was I suppose to do, I had like 15 seconds before they got to me."

"13.286 seconds." came Fireblade's retort.

"Jolt, the point is I'm fine." I tried to explain. Jolt was a fairly light hearted meche on most things, however when it concerned the safety of others and their well being he became as grouchy and stubborn as Ratchet. "I'm sorry, I won't do it again if I don't have to, alright?" I compromised.

"I'm going to hold you to that." he vented harshly. I nodded my head as I walked away, trying to escape the one question I knew they all wanted to know. What happened to Ironhide? I was a question I didn't want to answer nor did I want to engage in some sort of conversation stating that I probably couldn't do anything about it. I was going to do something about it and there was nothing they could do to stop me.

Dawn's rosy fingers casted light into the star filled sky, leeching into the dark night. I awoke to its brightness seeping in through the cracks in the boards. I had slept peacefully for the most part which was unusual considering that memories of all Cybertronians made their way through the void. I laid awake for some time staring at the ceiling lost in thought of everything that had happened since that fateful night.

Months had past since the night with Fireblade and the Decepticon. We resided in an abandoned hospital in downtown Los Angeles, no one came in or out, fearing the place was haunted. With newly dubbed Nemo guiding me, I practiced using the powers she granted me there. This probably didn't help the claims that it was haunted. The next part that she instructed me to do had me at a loss for words.

"You want me to do what!" I nearly screeched aloud.

'We must resurrect Jazz, however in order to do that we must travel to his remains.' she calmly explained.

'Ok where are they?' I asked, this time not to the whole world.

'Well, from what I can feel, he's off the coast of the country you call Canada.'

'So, let me get this straight. You want me to travel to a country I've never been to before, get a boat, sail out to the middle of nowhere in the Atlantic, all so we can resurrect Jazz from his watery grave?!'

'Precisely. I knew you would understand.'

'Oh no no no no. We can't just waltz up to Canada, grab some sort of ship, and sail on out there. I kinda need credentials to even operate a boat and stuff, not to mention a passport. And what about somebody seeing us and then getting him back on land. How are we suppose to disguise a giant alien robot who turns into a car!'

'I'll deal with that when the time comes, right now we need to get you that passport right?'

So, I practically waltz to the post office and miraculous, managed to get myself a passport. It didn't take too long for it to arrive since I picked it up at the post office. Packing what little I had, we left California. We managed to make it to Quebec City in 3 days, which included us stopping at hotels and gas stations to eat sleep and use the bathrooms. Grabbing a map of Canada in Quebec City, I scoured it in hopes of finding a seafaring town.

'Hmmm, it seems that Mary's Harbour is going to be our best bet for finding anything close to the Atlantic, with a hotel that is.'

'Indeed, luckily it's almost summer which means the snow should be almost gone.'

'What you mean almost gone!'

Needless, to say we made our way up to Newfoundland and Labrador. The further north we travel the cool the air got. Luckily, my insomnia kicked in and we drove the whole 26 hours without stopping. We arrived sometime in the early afternoon, in Mary's Harbour. The small fishing community was neat and tidy. Ships and boats were scattered across the harbor dotting the water with white. Unfortunately, the instant I arrived, I knew I stuck out like a sore thumb. Every head was turned as I slowly maneuvered, children gathered and ran with me as I made my way to the sole hotel the town possessed. I stopped outside the Riverlodge Inn, the crowd had gathered to quite a large number and I could hear small whispers of gasps from the children as I took off my helmet. I walked into the small hotel as discreetly as possible, almost ready to throw my helmet back on since the murmurs from the crowd increased.

Paying for the hotel in advance, I stepped outside into the cool, salty, late spring weather. Nemo had been right, while most of the snow was gone, places still had patches of snow clinging in the shadows. The crowd had since dispersed, but left several children staring at me still, which left the next order of business. Finding a boat large enough to fit the small Autobot on and not be too suspicious, after all I was going to pull a dead alien robot out of the ocean and bring him back to life.

Walking down to the harbor with Fireblade by my side, I took a deep breath, and dove head first into unknown up Fireblade along the dike, I made my way down to the docks. Although given strange looks I proceeded towards a likely candidate. He was ringing up fishing nets, likely checking for holes and such.

"Aye, there girly, what can I help you with?" the man asked in a thick Canadian accent. The man's was fairly tall and muscular for his age, although his salt and peppered hair gave away his age.

"Well, it's an odd question. I suppose I have a business proposition." I said nervously.

"Eh? Come aboard."

Climbing the ramp I met the man halfway. "Blaine." the man said as he held out his hand.

"Alice." I replied shaking his hand briefly.

"Now, what was this about a business proposition?" he asked, sounding curious.

"I need to borrow a ship around this size for several days. I'll give you 28 grand if you will allow me to use yours." I said in somewhat of a rush.

"Oye! That's a good one deary." He said as he laughed. I unzipped my jacket pulling out the roll of 28 thousand dollars that I had exchanged from American to Canadian.

"Girly what you doing with that kind of money, put that away." he said in a suddenly serious tone. "And just what are you planning on doing with this poor girl?"

"Not much just sailing out about 700 miles and coming back. I can't tell you what I'm doing but, you have my word that no harm will come to this ship."

"Alright, I'll take you up on your offer. I appreciate you telling me the truth. When would you like to sail out?" he asked as we shook hands on the deal.

"Before dawn tomorrow, I'll give you the money then so its not so suspicious." I replied rather quickly again.

"Sound good I'll have it all stocked up for yah." He said smiling.

"Thank you. You have no idea what this means to me." I said flashing a smile back.

"Ah, it's no problem I'm sure this old girl can handle whatever you throw at her. I'm going to assume you know how to pilot one of these." he asked. I nodded. "Good, good, I'll show you the controls in the morning."

I waved a goodbye to the well weathered sailor, and returned to Fireblade. "That went a lot easier than I thought it would." I quietly said to him. Returning to the small hotel and laid down hoping for morning to come early.

Waking up around 3, I promptly got up and proceed to the front desk with the little that I had. Letting the woman behind the count that I would be gone for close to a week, I made my way to the docks. Not even the early rays of dawn peeked over the horizon. Darkness encased the bay in a muted light. I didn't have to wait too long before Blaine showed up.

"Good mornin' to yah. I didn't think you were serious." he said a bit amused with himself. "Anyway, I got her all fueled up and ready to go with supplies. Should last you a week, if not more. Here, let me show you the controls are real quick and I'll let you be on your way."

I was still fairly shocked at how well things were turning out. I groaned inwardly as I realized that trouble would only come up elsewhere. Following Blaine up to the captain's seat, I left Fireblade on the main deck, and carried my stuff with me. Showing me the controls and what did what he sighed heavily.

"Well, I suppose that's about it." He said as he scratched his head. I pulled out an envelope containing the money, handing it to him.

"Thanks again for letting me use your ship, I know this situation must be strange." I commented.

"Yeah, just don't know what to tell my wife about all this." he joked. "Probably tell her the truth, but eh, who know how she'll take it. Good luck and be careful out there."

"Yes, thank you. To you as well." I siad. With that we walked down to the main deck, pulling the ramp up I set it aside and closed the door to the deck. He waved a quick farewell before disappearing back into the darkness of the early morning. Running back up to the bridge and laid my hands down on the controls. Concentrating I tapped the void, causing a slight ripple to move between us. Immediately, she was there gently reaching over the void.

'I'm ready, I'm in the bridge of the ship.' I hesitantly told her.

"Mmm, allow me to help.' And with that power course through my veins, into my hands illuminating the paneling. Archs, of what appeared to be static electricity, flowed from each instrument causing them to light up a bright white with a faint blue. Instantly the ship sprang to life, the engine idled loudly for a few seconds before giving way to her normal chug. She lurched forward a bit, as we moved forward before settling to an even pace.

'There that should do it, we are controlling the ship, although you aren't as much as I am. However, don't be surprised if you become more tired quicker.'

I mentally smiled at her, 'Thanks for the help'

It had only taken us a little less than a half a day to navigate through the numerous rocky islands that threatened to sink every ship that passed through. Once out in the open waters though it didn't take us very long even pushing the 35 knots we were moving at to eat up 700 miles of water. They were a bit rough considering how close to the mainland we still were. Upon reach this magical number a felt a pull in my chest as the ship came to a standstill.

'We're here...' Nemo whispered quietly.

I peered over the edge of the ship, to stare down to the dark murky water below. Walking to the back of the fishing boat I took a deep breath in and held it in for a few seconds before releasing it altogether. Then I closed my eyes and concentrated on the pull that felt as though it came from below me. In this state I could feel Fireblade's spark pulse as he stood next to me for support. Several other sparks became apparent as I dove deeper into the sea for what I was looking for. Suddenly, I found the Autobot's frame and quickly latch onto it. What came next was more difficult than I ever could have imagined. I could feel the pressure that was exerting all around the body as I tried to 'lift' it up and out of the water. Of course what made the task more difficult was the fact that his frame was split in two, causing me to have to split the energy between the two pieces.

It hurt. The pain seared through my body as I continued to pull the body up through the dense liquid. I think I cried out in pain because simultaneously Fireblade was pushing against me and Nemo was whispering words of encouragement to me. The two pieces of the Autobots frame were continuously becoming lighter by the second, easing the strain that coursed through me. Finally the water gave way, I opened my eyes and exhaled a sigh of relief. Although covered with sea vegetation, Jazz's body still held an unusual sense of pride and grace.

His body hit the deck with an attractive bang. I took several shaky breaths in as I walked toward the Autobot's frame. Instantly, I knew I had to repair the damage done by the sea and battle. Upon repairing the broken form, I gathered up the energy and unceremoniously climbed on top of the soldier's body. Nemo then instructed me on the next part. Creating his spark require sifting through a realm consisting of the spark of dead Cybertronians. However once found, it formed neatly in my hands. Bring it closer to his spark chamber his armor shifted, revealing the empty pace where it should lie. Placing it inside, everything lit up with a bright blue light that lit up the fast approaching darkness that I hadn't noticed.

Quickly, I jumped off and tumbled to side of the deck Fireblade stood in front of me blocking most of my view. Suddenly, the bot sat up clutching his helm.

"Aw, man, where am I?" he spoke in a gangster voice that sounded much like Troy Baker. I slowly stood up as the Autobot continued to search his surroundings.

"Jazz?" I cautioned. "I'm Alice, you're in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Canada."

"Uh, how did I get here? And who are you?" he questioned as I began walking forward towards him.

"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked him first.

"Awe, I think I was battling Megsy... oh yeah." he chuckled before laughing light halfheartedly. "I guess the last thing I remember was being torn in half."

I nodded. "That was almost an Earth year ago. My name is Alice and I've become the bearer of the All-Spark." At this point I was right next to him, placing a hand on his ped I glanced a look up at him.

"That all really happened? It wasn't like some bad data or something?" he asked. I shook my head. "Now what was all this talk about the All-Spark?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

It was at that point I remember things becoming more complicated. I smiled at the fond memory of meeting the saboteur. The triples had come to the group next, but they weren't as much of a challenge. Chromia had brought her sisters bodies back from Egypt, and while everyone was distracted, Jazz and myself managed to convince her to come with us while Jazz carried Elita-One and Arcee back to our base. Luckily it had been the dead of night and no one was really paying any attention. Jolt was another story, apparently after taking a liking to Earth when he was killed by Shockwave, they buried him. Which is easier said than done when trying to resurrect a giant alien out of the ground.

Then there was the rigorous, tedious, jaw dropping training they all put me though. Of course, with Jolt's rules we had to follow, they had my best intention in mind. Up until this point I hadn't realized that I had been training with these guys for years now. It was incredible how quickly time passed.

Upon removing my arm that I had draped over my eyes I looked around. It was dark, after bolting up right, getting dressed quickly in an old pair of jeans and a black tee shirt, I ran out into the main hanger and looked out through one of the holes in the wood. Sure enough, the sun had set long ago, traces of her light weren't even to be found lingering in the sky. Huffing a sigh at the day I wasted, I looked around and found myself alone except for Fireblade who remained glued to my side.

"What time is it?" I asked the beast bot.

"23:26" he replied simply. I quickly converted the time to something I was more familiar with. Putting on my leathers I grabbed my helmet, Fireblade had transformed already. The instant my helmet was on we were off to the one place I had avoided.

This city was fairly deserted since the bridge that had opened up right in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Garbage trucks, along with various emergence vehicles and regular cars were scattered through the town. I groaned at the huge mess that would have to be cleaned up, not just the physical but the political as well. Regardless, I shook my head and returned to the task at hand, getting to the NEST base.
