Chapter Three
Jedi Council
Experiencing the deserts of Tatooine was new for the Potters. While both had been to Egypt, it was nothing compared to the waterless sand world with binary suns that was Tatooine. Stepping off the Naboo ship, they were assaulted with a heat they had been warmed about and even with a liberal application of cooling charms, they were not impervious to the heat, though they were thankful that they had their magic to counter the elements.
Qui-Gon explained that he was headed into the city and welcomed Harry to join them despite having the clumsy Gungan join them. Harry was unsure what the aquatic creature was going to do on this planet, but figured that Qui-Gon knew a little more about what to do than himself in this situation. He was reminded a little of the clumsy Tonks from what felt a lifetime ago and pushing those thoughts aside, he suggested that Ginny remain aboard the ship with the queen.
She agreed and as they were leaving, the handmaiden that had been there for their discussion the night before approached them and maintained that the queen had ordered her to join them because there was a curiosity about the planet. Harry frowned at the dialogue exchanged, but decided to let it be, the quartet joined a moment later by a blue astromech, another oddity that Harry knew was specific to this galaxy he would have to get used to.
By the end of the first day, Harry did not believe they had accomplished anything, though he had nothing to compare it to. There was only one shop that had the parts they needed according to Qui-Gon, and coincidentally, it happened to be a shop that forcibly employed a boy that the Jedi was becoming fixated on. Surprisingly enough, the boy, Anakin Skywalker offered them a place to stay until the storm blew through the city.
Over the course of the meager dinner, Harry discovered two things, Qui-Gon believed that the boy had potential for training as a Jedi and that the handmaiden was actually the queen, hidden as a bodyguard while her double acted the queen. Harry addressed the former issue with the Jedi and realized that the Order would hesitate in training Anakin because of his age, despite the exceptionally high count of something in his blood.
Harry apparated to their ship and they entered their quarters without being seen. Updating on Ginny with what had happened during the day, "There's something else."
"Isn't there always?"
"When I talked with Qui-Gon, he mentioned that the council would hesitate to train him because of his age in addition to the attachment of his mother." Ginny remained silent as Harry continued, "What if we trained him?"
"What?"
"I have a hunch that we're going to be close allies with the Jedi, if not join them in some shape or form. We're going to have to learn about this Force energy despite our own age and making us more of an exception to the rule than Anakin. We both have experience in training and teaching older students and we could handle his 'emotions' in a way that the Jedi couldn't."
"Emotions?"
"Jedi try to purge their emotions or something like that." Harry waved her question away as non-essential, "We should adopt him for his training."
"And if he can't be trained as a wizard?"
"Possible. I can run him through a few spells tomorrow and see if our abilities and the Jedi abilities are compatible. From what I can tell, the Jedi use wandless magic."
"We do only have our own wands though."
"We're going to be here in this universe for a while. Why not try and discover the galaxy's magical fauna for crafting wands."
"All right." Ginny grinned, "Let's do this."
"Really?"
"We know that there's a war coming." Ginny answered, "We don't know how long until it comes to fruition so we're going to need to acclimate here in addition to finding out own place here. Learning about the Jedi will take up a lot of time but having Anakin as our student will be a good thing for us. We learn the path of the Jedi while teaching our own magic."
Harry smiled, "Thank you."
"Yeah, you do bring the most interesting challenges. Probably why I love you."
Harry embraced her and they shared a passionate kiss, his hand slipping under her shirt, "We could finish what we started on Naboo."
"I was hoping you'd say that."

Harry appeared in his room with a soft crack and startled Padme, the young queen looking for him, "What was that? And where were you just now?"
With a chuckle, Harry grinned, "I was at the ship with my wife and that was a handy trick called apparation."
"What? How?"
"I can teleport with my magic." Harry explained.
"Why did you go back there?"
"Padme Amidala," Harry used her full name and grinned as she froze with its use, "My wife and I were over hundred and fifty years old. We are now in the bodies of teenagers and married. I know that I could further embarrass you with details, but I'll refrain and merely say that we were not sleeping most of the night."
She understood the implication and clearly changed the subject to avoid further details, "Why did you call me Amidala?"
"Because you're the queen. A clever ruse, though you shouldn't use your name while in your disguise."
Padme nodded and looked slightly uncomfortable with the discovery in addition to being alone with Harry in the room, "Qui-Gon wanted to go back to the shop. He mentioned something about a wager on the pod race. I don't know what he's thinking because he's making a lot of assumptions and risks without conferring with the queen. He's becoming fixated on this boy and I'm not sure if he is remembering our primary mission to Coruscant."
"He is a little obsessed with this boy, isn't he." Harry ran a hand through his shaggy hair before summoning his cloak from the bed and threw it on, "Let's go see what kind of trouble he's getting us into."
Harry was impressed with the speed of the racing as he watched over Padme's shoulder on her viewer. He had initially had doubts on the wagers that the Jedi had made but could not fault the logic behind it. They were in a desperate position and if Qui-Gon had not made the bets, they would have been stuck on the planet anyway. The leading pod racers were screaming down the last leg of the race and Harry's mind wandered to the precognitive abilities the Jedi actually possessed. While he had never enjoyed divination, Padme had explained a little of the rumored abilities of this talent within the Jedi Order.
Skywalker pulled ahead of the Dug racer and with a whoosh, the young boy passed the finish line and the celebrations began for the underdog. Qui-Gon hurried off immeidately, Harry figuring that he was securing their winnings. Meeting up with Qui-Gon, Anakin's freedom was announced in addition to the parts being prepared for delivery. Volunteering to return to the ship and informing the crew to be ready to depart, Harry vanished to the surprise of those with him.
Qui-Gon sent the parts along with Padme, Jar-Jar and the astromech before coming later with the boy, Harry coming down the ramp to greet the latter. There was a sense of urgency at the back of his mind and spotted a high speed bike bearing down on the Jedi, "Kenobi! Ginny!"
They found Harry and he pointed to the approaching speeder, "What's that?"
"Anakin, down!" Qui-Gon shouted as he recognized the danger, the boy dropping to the ground moments before the speeder passed over him.
The driver vaulted off the bike and ignited a red blade from a lightsaber, clashing with Qui-Gon as the Jedi blocked the attack in time, "Tell them to take off!"
Anakin sprinted for the ship, Ginny meeting him and launched a blasting hex at the bike. Her aim was true and the bike exploded that distracted Qui-Gon's opponent enough for Qui-Gon to disengage and retreat to the ship, Ginny helping him aboard while throwing a half dozen spells to annoy the assailant and discourage his pursuit. She noticed that he deflected a few of the spells and she made a note to mention that to Harry when they had a chance.
They were speeding away from the planet and Qui-Gon collapsed to the ground, "What the bloody hell was that?"
Obi-Wan checked on his Master while Ginny confirmed that she was alright to Harry. They shared a kiss before a cough from Qui-Gon broke them apart.
"What are we going to do?" Anakin glanced nervously at the four adults around him, confused at what exactly had just happened.
"We shall be patient." Qui-Gon answered, "Anakin Skywalker, meet my Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi."
They shook hands before Anakin looked at Harry, "This is my wife, Ginny."
"Are you a Jedi too?"
Ginny laughed, but shook her head, "I'm a witch. A little different from the Jedi, but just as powerful."
"So we suspect." Harry leaned into Ginny's petite body with a smile, "Come on, let's get you settled."

Their flight to Coruscant was a little longer than their trip to Tatooine and Harry and Ginny spent the majority of their time away from the curious eyes of Anakin and the crew. Letting Anakin handle a wand, they discovered that he would be able to train with them and agreed that they would encourage their inclusion with his education. Ginny was introduced to the rest of the handmaidens and clothes were provided that would implant her with the Queen and Harry agreed with Qui-Gon that he would go with them to the Jedi Temple.
As they entered the system to Coruscant, neither were prepared for the magnitude of the city planet. The controlled chaos of air vehicles and space traffic in addition to the billions of pedestrians of so many species, Harry was certain that even after thirty years in the galaxy, he would still be finding new species there.
"You ready?" Harry asked, slipping a hand into hers for a moment before they left the ship.
"I think you'll be having more fun than myself."
"Doubtful." Harry frowned, "You could still trade with me if you think what I'm doing is more fun."
"I doubt you'd be able to pass as a handmaiden. Even with polyjuice."
"True. Don't forget your hair glamour. I have a feeling that red hair stands out even more than what we think of as alien."
"Right." Ginny drew her wand from her wrist holster and tapped her hair, the red shimmering to a brown that equaled the other handmaidens of the queen. Another tap of her wand adjusted the eyes to the same color that Padme had, the real queen having returned to her elaborate dress. They had talked with Qui-Gon about the ruse and discovered that the older Jedi had known Padme was the queen as well, the irony of his comments that the queen trusted him provided amusement for the couple during the journey.
Harry shared a kiss with his wife one last time before joining the Jedi and Anakin on the platform, Ginny returning to where the Queen was waiting to exit the ship.
Introduced as a friend of the queen, Ginny was overlooked by the greeting party, the two parting for the second time since coming to this galaxy. Harry remained silent on the way to the Jedi Temple, Harry now sporting a sandy blonde hair style that was similar to Anakin's hair, figuring that it would be a good start on introducing the Jedi Council to the differences of magic and the Force. He and Ginny had discussed what would be needed to demonstrate for the Jedi what magic was, and in the end, they decided that their demonstration would be as much or as little as necessary.
Neither Jedi commented on his change of appearance, the older of the pair knowing that Harry would explain in time, while Obi-Wan was focusing on the upcoming brief with the council. He and Anakin were instructed to wait outside the Council room while the debrief was conducted and having conjured a chair for himself and the boy, they only waited a few hours before Harry was called inside, after Anakin was tested.
"This is Harry Potter, one of the two guards of the Queen we came across." Qui-Gon introduced, "His application within the Force is something that I have never witnessed before and is the reason I requested an interview with the council."
"Difficult to read, he is." a small green Jedi that reminded Harry of a house elf remarked, "Much to learn we have, from each other."
Harry smirked at the passive reading from the others in the council, "I have had training to protect my mind since I was fifteen. I shouldn't be surprised that the Jedi are able to do the same."
"I sense, great conflicts in your past. Older you are, than what you appear?"
"I agree, you are older than you look." the bald black Master next to the smaller Jedi agreed.
"You're correct on both accounts." Harry agreed and adopted a look he had during his time as headmaster of his childhood school, "On my world, I am a hundred and seventy-six. Let me put this out there, I am from another galaxy and time period."
There was a silence in the chamber as the Masters assessed his declaration, "Sense deceit in your word, I do not. Difficult travel between realities, no doubt?"
Harry chuckled, "It was certainly painful."
"Master Yoda, I am. Grand Master of the Jedi Order." Yoda introduced himself, "Special circumstances there were, for traveling here?"
"There were." Harry nodded, "I was near death of old age and a visitor approached me one night and offered me a choice. Continue to live or continue to die."
"Interesting choice of words." Another of the council remarked.
"It was. I woke to the voice and it told me that my wife and I had a choice to make and we were instructed a specific location to go the next day."
"We?"
"My wife, Ginerva. She was also given the choice."
"So you went? Unsure on what you would find?"
"We did and we were told that we would be rejuvinated and sent off to a life in another galaxy."
"Revealed more there was?" Yoda asked.
"Yes." Harry hesitated before throwing caution to the wind, "There was a warning that a war is approaching in this galaxy."
"You're referring to this conflict on Naboo?"
"No, this is just the beginning." Harry shook his head, "We were told that the guardians of this galaxy weren't going to be prepared for it and that you'll be needing all the help you can get. This war is going to span the galaxy."
"Guardians of this galaxy?"
"Of us, do you speak?"
"I'm pretty sure that your order was inferred by that. We were told that we would find allies with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan."
"Meditate on this, I will." Yoda announced.
"You and your wife have seen battles?"
"Master..."
"Mace Windu."
"I've been fighting evil since I was eleven." Harry stood taller and stared down the man, "I personally fought and defeated four 'dark lords', bent on world domination with a side of genocide. My wife has been at my side for each major conflict, so yes, we have seen battles."
"What do you plan on doing until the war starts?" Mace asked.
"We plan to protect the queen through this conflict." Harry answered, "This is after all why we believe we were put on Naboo before the queen escaped here."
"Wish to learn from us, you do?"
"It was an option Ginny and I discussed. There was something else we talked about, though, train the boy, Anakin that Qui-Gon has brought from Tatooine."
There was a moment of protest from Qui-Gon but he fell silent as he considered that alternative, "You're not Jedi and couldn't train him in our ways."
Harry scoffed, "We weren't going to train him as a Jedi."
"You were thinking that you'd train him in your skills?" Mace asked.
"We tested Anakin on the way here to determine if our uses of magic and the Force are compatible and I'm confident that we can train him."
"You're assuming that we are not going to take him into the Order."
Harry held up a hand to stop the other protests from the Council, "Your order doesn't normally take students after a certain age, correct? My wife and I have be masters and teachers at a school and have decades of experience. We would teach him our ways, yes, but we also have a proposition for the Jedi. Allow us to form another branch of the Order. Qui-Gon told me your code and while Ginny and I would never swear in by it, we propose to come up with an alternate that would be acceptable. Obviously, you'll have to discuss this idea, we aren't ignorant of council proceedings, but by allowing us this chance, you'll be able to give us training in the Force as well and keep us as allies. Of course allying ourselves with your order is not dependent on this, but it would go a long way in solidifying it."
There was another silence in the chamber before Mace nodded, "We've discovered that the younger they are the less attachments a child has for training. What ideas do you have for a Code?"
"Nothing yet, but there's another point the Qui-Gon brought up and it's about this Chosen One prophecy." Harry looked directly at Mace, sensing that he was an important voice to convince outside of the Grand Master.
"There is a prophecy, yes." Mace glared at Qui-Gon, "What about it?"
"As a previous child of prophecy, I have experience with that pressures. I have been called the 'Chosen One' for a portion of my life and that was how I was introduced to my world where I had a special talent and ability."
"Interesting, that a child of the prophecy you were and potentially a child of prophecy has been discovered." Yoda remarked, "A decision to train you, at another time we will make."
"I understand." Harry looked at the diminutive Jedi, "How old are you?"
"Almost nine hundred years, I am."
Harry chuckled, "Do you have more questions? My wife is attempting to contact me."
"We haven't had a demonstration of what you can do, Mr. Potter."
Harry grinned and with a single motion, he slid his wand out and held it up, beginning a tutorial for the Jedi on the instrument of a wizard and witch. Calling on a volunteer, he demonstrated lightly on the various branches of applicable magic on Mace Windu before ending with a demonstration of his panther animagus form, explaining that it was a difficult piece of magic and that Ginny's form was a fox. Begging to be excused for a moment while he connected with Ginny, he stepped outside of the council chamber and pulled out the communication mirrors that they discovered had been put in their chest,"Ginny Potter."
"There you are! her image exclaimed as he saw it materialize on the crystal.
"What's wrong?"
"The queen just finished meeting with their senator."
"And?"
"His solution was to denounce the chancellor and call for the vote of another."
"Politics?"
"Of course."
"And the candidates to replace the chancellor?"
"He's one of them."
"Of course he is." Harry ran a hand through his hair, his mind trying to process the potential complications arising out of this situation, "Anything else?"
"Yeah, while I was asking questions, I had a probe against my shields." Ginny glanced behind her to ensure that there was nobody else around her, "I can't be certain, but I'm almost positive that it was the senator."
"That's certainly a surprise. The Jedi do have some legillimancy skills, but it appears to be more passive from what they used on me. Though of course they were not trying to be rude. We'll have to investigate the senator further and I'll inform the Council what we suspect. Perhaps they're already aware of the situation."
"You don't think he's one of them trying to gain some political power?"
"They aren't the type to seek power from what I've witnessed."
"There's something unsettling about this, Harry. I just can't pinpoint it. You're more skilled in the mind arts, so you might be able to scan him better."
"Advise the queen not to depose the current chancellor."
"She's already left for the senate." Ginny interrupted him.
"What if he's behind this invasion and is trying to put him into the chancellor's seat?"
"He was extremely pessimistic on resolving the subject of the invasion. He even suggested that the queen accept the occupation."
"Wow." Harry cringed, "Don't tell Padme your suspicions. I'll let the council know, but she needs all the support that she can get, even if it's fake."
"Palpatine is his name." Ginny shuddered, "I need to catch up to the queen and her retinue. Love you."
"I love you too, Gin." Harry closed the connection and pocketing the mirror, he resolved that they would sort through everything in their trunk as soon as they established themselves in the galaxy. Returning to the council he realized that they were concluding another interview with the boy and only a few on the council looked in his direction. He continued to pass the tests and answer everything that he thought was correct until Yoda declared that there were strong emotions within him and that it would not help in his training later.
Anakin was nodded to the side and Harry was beckoned forward, "News from your wife, you have?"
"Unfortunate news, yes." Harry nodded, "Posing as a bodyguard for the queen, she told me that they just finished talking with Senator Palpatine."
"Good for Naboo, he has been." Yoda nodded, "Noticed however, irregularities surrounding him."
"Yeah, about that." Harry grimaced, "He pushed the queen for pursuing a vote of no confidence, which puts him at the front for taking the Chancellor's place."
"Presume his motives, behind this advice?"
"I do." Harry frowned, "Especially since he tried to break through my wife's mind shields."
"Impossible!" "What?"
Yoda stopped the other Masters from continuing their outrage of this declaration, "Interesting, this is. For certain she is, the senator is responsible?"
"Pretty sure, yes." Harry nodded.
"A problem this may be, if accurate this is."
"I'm going to assume that he isn't an agent of the Jedi?" Harry looked around and noticed that his remark was more offensive to the Order that they would attempt such a power move, "Right, well, this isn't the first time I've seen or been involved in the raw side of politics or witnessed the devastation behind their ambitions."
"We will continue to watch this matter, if what you say is true." Mace nodded cautiously, "Jedi do have a share of enemies and we have been servants of the Republic, never entering into the politics of the Senate. If what Qui-Gon believes of the attacker from Tatooine, then the Sith have again emerged."
"Always two there are, a Master and an Apprentice."
"I told Ginny to try and stop the queen from calling for that vote, but we aren't sure if Amidala will listen." Harry looked at Yoda and then Mace, "My instincts are telling me not to let Palpatine into power."
"Thank you for this report, Mr. Potter."
"Do you have a title we can address you with?"
"Master?" Harry looked at the female addressing him.
"Adi Gallia."
"Master Gallia, when I was with the Aurors, a form of law enforcement, I achieved the rank of Captain. They are very similar to Jedi in their service and during my time, they were the elite and the best in the magical world. Harry of course is fine as well."
"What of your wife? Was she an Auror?"
"She was not. I'm not sure what title she'll want, but Ginny is the best to call her." Harry flicked his wand at Mace and the charms that he had placed on Windu vanished without a trace, "Think I could get a tour of this place?"
For the next few hours, Harry wandered the temple with Qui-Gon, Kenobi and Anakin while the council discussed everything that the mission from Naboo had brought back, including the fate of Anakin. Intrigued by the Jedi library, he hoped that they would be allowed to peruse the shelves later and discovered the training room would be very useful in the coming years.
Ginny informed them that the queen had followed the Senator's advice and the Palpatine was in the lead for Chancellor because of the crisis on Naboo. Amidala was also planning to return to Naboo and had requested that she and Harry come with her. Planning on doing that regardless, having the invitation of the ruler also helped and when they returned to the chamber, Harry planned to inform the council on the happenings of the last few hours.
"The boy is powerful," Mace began, "And his upbringing does warrant a closer look. He's shown himself worthy in our ranks when he's older."
"Then he's going to be trained?"
"No, he won't."
"Clouded the boy's future is. Danger I sense in his training." Yoda continued.
"He is the chosen on, surely you see that."
"He is too old to begin training as a Jedi."
"Wait, you will, our council is not finished." Yoda stopped Qui-Gon's protest, "As a Jedi, trained he will not. Learn from Captain Potter, he will."
"What?" Qui-Gon glared at Harry, battling the emotions warring within him, "We know nothing of his training and you're giving the boy to him for training?"
"I've been there before." Harry countered, "I know the pressures of what to expect."
"So you claim, you're just a boy yourself!" Qui-Gon ground out.
"Do I need to go over my history again? I've been fighting evil in every shape and form since I was one after my parents were betrayed by a best friend. I fought the same monster that did that for seven straight years until everything that I held dear had been stripped away was gone. I even had to put Ginny to the side to survive, which to this day I'm thankful she took me back.
"This first dark wizard, the reason for my chosen status survived every encounter against me because of the darkest soul magic that we have on my planet. He split his soul and I had to die for him to die. After surviving I lived to be a hundred and seventy-six years old, trained students in Defense for more than three decades and have my Masters in multiple areas of magic. I am more than qualified to train and teach a single student."
"Perhaps we can continue this later." Mace offered, "The queen is going back to Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are to continue protecting her and looking for this mysterious attacker. Captain Potter..."
"The queen has already invited us to return with her." Harry shrugged, "I was going to tell you, but Qui-Gon managed to get me on a rant."
"Very well. Protect young Skywalker on your journey and this discussion of his fate as well as yours can happen at a later time. May the Force be with you."

It was a somber mood that found the return trip to Naboo and the Potters were unsure what was on the Queen's mind. They talked with Anakin about what he thought on the current Council's decision, and they agreed that a focus on wandless magic would be at the forefront of his education. Ginny suggested that they would use Harry's wand until a better focus was found in this galaxy.
As the Jedi were considered peacekeeper, Harry would focus on teaching him defense and the advanced magic while Ginny would train him with the foundation of magic with transfiguration and charms. The three were hopeful that the Council would grant them access to lightsaber training as they were all interested in obtaining the Jedi's tool and weapon.
Their landing was simple and after the queen laid out the simple idea to ask the Gungans for assistance, the task to finding them fell to the clumsy Gungan, Jar-Jar Binks. After a quick hunt for them, there was a quick treaty made and the Gungan leader, Boss Nass agree to fight and divert the droid army out of the city to give the Queen the chance to infiltrate with the few fighters that had formed a resistance within the city.
Ginny pulled Anakin to the side in the middle of the briefing, "Are you following what we're doing here?"
"We're fighting those droids and capture the Viceroy in the city."
"Personally," Ginny nodded, "I would be looking for a spot for you to stay out of the way, but Qui-Gon is insisting that you're going to play a vital role in the fight. Remain with either myself or Harry. Regardless of what the council decides, Anakin, you have a place at our side, no matter what."
An understanding passed between them and he threw his arms around her. Patting him on his back, Ginny said, "You're going to be extremely powerful in the future, Anakin. You just have to learn how to use it correctly. Harry and I can help with that and so can the Jedi."
With a single burst, the main cannon of the land speeder triggered the start of the battle. Lasers erupted around the fighters and several well disguised explosive hexes were sent into the other tanks in the courtyard and within minutes, the fighting was in favor of the Naboo fighters, "They're a lot weaker than I thought." Ginny shrugged as they realized that they had overpowered their curses against the vehicles.
Enjoying himself with the adrenaline in his younger body, Harry threw up a one-way shield, Ginny overlapping with another barrier to provide the protection to the others while they pushed their way into the main hanger. Blasters scattered into the hanger and the droids guarding the ships were cut apart, the lightsabers of the Jedi working swiftly to end the resistance and allow the pilots to make it into their ships.
With the hanger cleared of the enemy and fighters, Padme ordered them towards the throne room before the suspected Sith blocked their path, "We'll take it, Majesty."
"Want us to help, Qui-Gon?" Harry asked.
"Stay with the Queen, Captain Potter. Get the viceroy."
"We'll take the long way." Padme spun back into the hanger,.
Harry followed but watched the duel begin, the three lightsabers sparking against each other and Harry impressed with the coordination of the Master and the Padawan, "Harry!"
Turning at Ginny's voice, he realized that two Destroyer droids rolled into the hanger to block the queen. Lasers shattered Ginny's shield as she broke her concentration and they were both forced to take cover, "Have you seen Anakin?"
Ginny pointed to the fighter across the hanger where the boy was sitting, a droid, Harry noticed, firmly locked into the back of the cockpit, "He's safe. He does know how to fly better than we do."
She leaned out and threw a blasting hex against their shields which knocked the droids back a few inches, "That didn't work."
Harry chuckled, "A little more finesse then?"
With a swish of his wand, he levitated both droids and banished them out of the hanger, "Too easy."
"Come on! Before more droids show up."
Battle Droids were guarding the stairs and the Queen and her guard were quickly pinned down, "We don't have time for this!"
Harry spotted pieces of a destroyed droid and after Ginny raised a shield, he stepped out and hit four pieces with a transfiguration spell that formed four metallic tigers and released them into the enemy. Blaster fire immediately turned on the destructive felines and relieved the assaulting element of the pressure. Hitting a giant golden statue with an animation charm, he directed the golden golem to assault the remaining droids on the stairs, chunks of droids getting scattered across the hall as its giant spear crushed them.
"Interesting trick, Captain."
"Animating the inanimate has saved my life multiple times. Really difficult to control if you're uneducated in its branch of magic though."
"Come on!" Ginny frowned at her husband, "There's still a battle up here!"
Continuing the fight to the next two floors, Harry's creations were eventually defeated before a half dozen Destroyers and a dozen battle droids surrounded them, "Drop your weapons."
Padme nodded for them to do so and Harry vanished himself from sight, Ginny concealing her wand at the same time while the droids rounded up the others. With a robotic precision, they were marched to the Viceroy where he was about to begin gloating with victory.
"Are you sure?" Ginny stepped out of the procession and the droids began to track her as she confidently across the room towards him.
"Who are you?"
"Does it matter? You just captured who you believe to be the queen." Ginny continued, "You're so confident that this is what you were hoping. She's going to just sign over her planet for whatever you demand of her and then what?"
"Seize her!" the Viceroy demanded.
"No." Ginny held up her hand and the droids that had moved with his order froze.
"What is happening?" he stepped away from Ginny, slightly off balance from the action, "You're a Jedi!"
"Actually, I'm not." Ginny stepped closer to him until she was barely a meter away, "I'm actually worse than a Jedi."
"You...you are?"
"Ropes!" Conjured ropes sprang to life and wrapped up the Viceroy, the droids still unable to move and the doors sealed from within, "Do you see Viceroy? That we had you precisely where we wanted you."
"You will..." his voice vanished and in fight, his eyes widened, almost unable to comprehend what she was doing to him.
Drawing her wand, she summond a bolt of lightning and threw it into the droids on either side of him, directing the energy into the other droids around the room, "I'm more dangerous than a Jedi and a Sith. I'm a witch."
A stunner hit him in his chest from the side and Harry released his invisibility, "Nice theatrics, Gin."
"I'm just glad that you were on cue with freezing those droids and hitting him with those ropes when I asked."
"That was you?" Padme asked, tapping the Viceroy with her foot as she stood next to the two, "I was believing that you were doing all of that."
"Magic can involve a little slight of hand. Especially when there's a director that nobody can see." Harry grinned, "What should we do with him?"
"I am going to have him sign another treaty that will confess his crimes to my people and then I'll turn him to the senate."
"Are you sure we should turn him over?" Ginny asked, "He's committed crimes against Naboo, not the Senate."
Padme hesitated, "You're right, but we can still hope that with this election that justice will return and he will be sent to prison as he should."

Despite the victory, the funeral for the fallen Jedi Master sullied the affair. Harry overheard the conversation with the Jedi Council that Obi-Wan had defeated a Sith and that there was question if he was the Master or the Apprentice. Interrupting them, Harry suggested that they interrogate the Viceroy on the affair before the Senate could begin the trial, something that the Jedi were unsure they would do or not.
Anakin remained with Ginny for the majority of the event, as Qui-Gon had been becoming a mentor to the boy, having been responsible for freeing and believing in him on Tatooine. Neither Harry or Ginny could tell if he was truly disturbed by Qui-Gon's death as he masked his emotions with the uncertainty that loomed over his future with the Jedi.
New treaties were overseen by the newly elected Chancellor Palpatine while Master Yoda met with Obi-Wan, Harry and Ginny, "Interesting we have, this dilmma. Defeat you have, a Sith, and earned your title of Knight. Train young Skywalker, disagree I do."
"Qui-Gon believed in him and I promised that I would train him."
"Another solution presented, Captain Potter has." Yoda answered, "Agree with his proposal, the council does."
"Well?" Obi-Wan shifted to look at the wizard.
"The Jedi Code forbids attachment and other things to include the age of people admitted into the Order." Harry started, "Because Anakin is old enough to remember his mother, it would be foolish to train him the same way you and the others in the Order were trained. It would put a resentment in him that he should just forget his enslaved mother and that would be a potential downfall.
"Ginny and I can provide him a stable environment. We can train him to fight with our magic and you can train him to fight with a lightsaber. If there is a prophecy about him, there's nothing that can keep him from fulfilling it and I would be a fool to try and keep him from the Jedi if that is the case. Ginny and I want to train in the Force and dueling as well and this is one of the only ways that we can accomplish that."
"Then you would do this for selfish reasons?" Obi-Wan questioned.
Ginny laughed, "You're trying to put all of this on him at the same time he just lost a mentor, the man that freed him of slavery. Yes, he was your mentor too, but for a slave the one who frees him is more than that. This is a fragile moment and getting thrust into a situation that is contrary to everything that he knows could be something snaps him later in life."
"The council agrees with this?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Sound, their logic is," Yoda nodded, "A liaison of the Force you will be and keep your word to Qui-Gon. Train the boy you will. By proxie, the Potters, educate them you shall. A new code will they learn, adapted within the Order upon completion of their training, the Council will decide."
"As you wish, Master."
