Light.

The light is shining in this dark cave.

My eyes open, and then the pain is gone.

Even though I have the wounds – on my hands, feet, and side – the pain is gone. In its place is a feeling that can only be described as joy, as liveliness.

I can feel life return to me.

The air has never smelled so sweet as it does today. Today is the day.

I take a few steps towards the light coming from outside the tomb. My bare feet walk on the sandy ground, despite the red holes in them. I don't feel anything hurt.

As I look up to the sky, the morning sun greets me. Today is a new day, a day to start anew.

I inhaled, and then exhaled. Let the light of the Lord shine upon this new day, this day of deliverance. This day of rejoicing.

There is a feeling of joy as I step out into the world, ready to face anything.

It is finished.

I have done it.

I have completed the mission that my Father sent me here to do: to save all of mankind from the sins that bind them. And this day confirms that the deed has been done.

I was scared at first, but now the will of my Father has been carried out.

God is with me, and now that I have died for all, God is with everyone as well.

And you, you blessed who reads these words, my sacrifice is for you.

My Love is greater than fear and pain, no matter how overwhelming.

I step out to meet my friends.

I don't own anything.

Happy Easter, everyone!
