Ace had found herself handcuffed to the foot of the bed in a motel room the boys were staying at. She had one free hand, and if looks could kill then she would be the winner.

"These should keep you," Dean said admiring the handcuffs.

Ace rolled her eyes at the stupid twat. She was waiting until she could break free of the handcuffs.

"You aren't going anywhere until you talk, and then we'll let you go. Sit tight, we'll be back." Dean told her with a wink.

Sam tried to better reassure the auburn girl, "ginger, we'll be back."

Ace didn't like his words no more than she liked the words spewing out of Dean's mouth. She nodded her head to show that she did understand what they were talking about. She breathed a sigh of relief, and waited for her chance. She almost risked it when the door was kicked in, and in walked an all too familiar figure that she never did want to see again. She gasped in shock, and stared at the tall dark haired boy was a year younger than her.

"Ace, long time, no see." He grinned, and stepped further into the motel room. His light green eyes roamed her body for a moment before he softly closed the door. He walked over to Ace, and crouched down right in front of her.

Ace's eyes widened, and the poor girl searched hard for her missing voice. She hated him more than she despised either Winchester brother.

"I take it, you're wondering why I'm not in Canada with my family anymore. I wanted to check up on my Ace after hearing you got yourself kidnapped by hunters. Your mom truly loves you," He smiled, leaning close to the one person he wanted.

Ace spit in his face, but he refused to harm the one person he cared about. She struggled against the handcuff, but she couldn't quite get free in her panic.

"Ace, I'm not here to harm you. I'm here to help you." He grinned, and fished a key out of his pocket.

Her eyes grew wide with fear as he unlocked the cuff. The worst was running through her mind, and she chose to finally speak.

"Riker, what are you doing here? I have a restraining order against you after you touched me in places you should never touch family." Ace angrily hissed with her voice coming out as more of a croak.

"Your mom dropped the order for you so I could come rescue you." Riker happily chirped making her mood darken.

Ace kept her distance as she swallowed hard, "get out!"

Riker narrowed his gaze at her, and strode closer to her. He pinned her roughly up against the wall, and gripped her wrists so tightly they started to burn.

"Ace, your mom is worried sick about you! The rest of us are worried too!" Riker yelled causing spit to go flying into her face.

Ace opened her mouth to speak when a gun was pressed into his back, and he let out a low growl.

"Step away from the mute girl." Dean spoke up in a demanding tone.

Riker snickered to himself, and released his hold on Ace. He slowly faced the Winchester boys, and a malicious grin lit up his features.

"Mute, you say? No, Ace is simply shy for an empath." Riker disagreed putting his half sister on the spot.

"A what?" Dean dumbly inquired.

"An empath is somebody who can feel the emotions of others. He said, she's one." Sam announced causing his brother to roll his eyes at him.

"You're such a dork." Dean commented with a short lived chuckle.

Ace kept herself pressed up against the wall. She knew it didn't matter what she was since she was in more danger with Riker in the picture.

"So what does Ace being an empath mean necessarily?" Sam quizzed ignoring, his brother.

Riker frowned hearing the question. He had to think of something good to get Ace away from the lunatics she was currently with. He would use any excuse in the book.

Ace was glaring at him like he was the devil.

"Ace picks up mostly negative emotions which is what keeps her shut up half of the time. She's a danger to the world around her so let me take her off of your hands," Riker pleaded with innocence shining in his eyes.

"If you pay us, we'd willingly give her over to you." Dean nonchalantly shrugged.

Sam shot him a warning glare, "we can't give up the only information we have that is connected to Jaclyn."

Riker lightly chuckled, "I have both."

Ace freaked out when Riker agreed to having both things. She brought her leg up, and kicked him in the back which sent him flying forwards into Sam causing the two to crash land into the wall. She picked up the lamp on the table, and chucked it at Dean as a distraction so she could get away. She threw herself out of the window, and scrambled to get away from the three maniacs. She got away from them easily, and lived a low-key life for the next month.

She enjoyed stealing clean clothes, and good food to eat so much so that she almost forgot why she was on the run. She was surprised when she ran into her mother at a gas station, but she was also ecstatic.

"Mom?" Ace croaked briefly confusing the lady.

Jac breathed a sigh of relief upon spotting her daughter. She pulled the auburn haired girl into a long embrace, "my baby! You speak again!"

"Yes, and I have bad news." Ace spoke feeling antsy like her every movement was being carefully analyzed.

"Is it about those damn hunters? I will kill 'em." Jac vowed, but her daughter quickly shot that theory away.

"No, it has nothing to do with them. Riker is back from Canada, and I don't know why." Ace announced causing horror to flash in Jac's eyes.

"That boy was boring with demon blood pumping through his veins, and those damn liars will hurt anybody no matter the cost." Jac informed her daughter, sounding scared.

"The last time I saw him was a good month ago when I left him in the company of those blasted hunters. They were ready to hand me over to Riker." Ace told her mom in a worried tone.

Jac uneasily glanced around the gas station, "we're being watched."

"Probably being listened to as well." Ace noted, keeping her eyes wide open to any attacks.

"I'd have hoped by now those boys would have figured Riker isn't human like us. It'll probably be too late." Jac wore a solemn look.

"I thought you hated them," Ace was confused by her mother.

"I don't hate them, but they are good hunters." Jac said shooting her daughter a worried glance.

Ace rose an eyebrow at her mom, "do you think they'll hunt me?"

Jac averted her gaze to the concrete road, "you aren't human."

"Ridiculous. I'm not evil either just for feeling what other people feel." Ace angrily disagreed. She could not believe the way her mother was treating her.

"Ace, you'll be hunted regardless of your intentions. I have to go, and so should you." Jac softly whispered to her daughter.

"Oh, so that's why you never came looking for me, yourself." Ace mindlessly let the words escape her lips.

"Good luck, Ace." Jac shot her daughter a half smile, and climbed into her car leaving her daughter in the dust.

Ace wondered what else the woman who raised her was hiding from her. Her ears picked up on a familiar engine cutting off right behind her, and a car door or two being opened.

"I take it that the reunion didn't go over so well." Dean piped up, but she chose to ignore him.

"You have a choice, Ace; come with us, and help hunt down that demon born brother of yours or you can continue living your way of life until he finds you again." Sam called to the fiery red headed girl.

Ace knew that she was out of options. Reluctantly, she slid into the backseat of the black car Dean was always so intent on driving. She let out an annoyed huff, knowing it was going to be a long journey.
