Fiore x780 - A rainy day in southern Fiore

Naruto stood atop a spire in a small town, known for holding the legal guild Titan Nose. He had his hood up on his Armor of Raijin, the lightning yellow making him stand out in the dark blue of the rainy sky. His Raijin blade was resting in his hand, giving off an ominous glow as lightning struck behind him. As lightning struck behind him, his sabertooth mark was shown on his metal belt, and the image was on his hood as well. His arms crossed, he manipulated the magic around him and send out a small and fast pulse, then turned his head as he sensed the incoming raiders to the village. This request was a B ranked mission, since the guild titan nose seemed to be unable to handle the threat of these small time magic users known as the swift blade raiders.

The village itself surrounded the titan nose guild, where prominent members of the guild spent their time getting photos of themselves for the sorcerer magazine and doing low rank missions to help the townspeople. Yet when a threat shows up, the members of the guild mysteriously disappear on long term quests and come back after the swift blade raiders comes through and gathers some of the females of the town. Most of these females were very good looking, so when Naruto accepted the quest, he knew something fishy was going on. Why hadn't Nalshe Mikagure, a member of Titan Nose taken care of these raiders if they had been here 4 times before? Why hadn't Bora of Prominence shown up to help the townspeople, yet when the raiders finish, he was there to help console the survivors, making promises to be there next time.

Naruto sighed as he closed his eyes, opting to not turn on his Eye of the Jubi, and just finish this mission quickly so he could continue on with his travels. He had made it clear to Jiemma that is he were to join Sabertooth, he would be allowed to hunt demons when any reports came up, and so far he had taken out 5 major threats while the council of Fiore had been taking care of the others. He had his doubts about them claiming to have killed the demons, and he had the strangest feeling that they were experimenting on them instead. At the very least, they weren't terrorizing any of the villages around Fiore for now, and the major demons he took care of were the ones that had a form of intelligence in them instead of 'kill kill kill' like lower class demons.

Naruto took a deep breath and released it as he thought back on his year with Sabertooth. He had taken an A rank mission every two weeks, One B ranked mission every week, and three C rank missions ever week so that he could dedicate his time to training. His official record for Sabertooth was 26 A rank, 52 B rank and 156 C rank. He had not yet failed a mission, even when he was ambushed by some dark guilds looking to learn his secrets. The council of Fiore had gotten off of his back when he had saved Councilwoman Belno from a hired hit-demon 4 months ago.

~Flashback~

Naruto was hot on the trail of a demon known as the Baraka, a very physical fighter with giant forearm blades and known to be absolutely ruthless. It had tanned skin and was around six feet tall. It wore nothing but a torn and bloody tunic as well as a ripped up shirt. The light from the mid day sun glinted off its bald head. Baraka was easily a high A ranked demon, but the truth was that it was the Baraka's healing factor that made it such a high ranked fighter. Of course Naruto knew the key to fighting demon's with a healing factor, considering he is one. He had to wear it out, then destroy it's body in one shot, not giving it a chance to heal back up.

Naruto had found that Baraka accepted a job to kill the only female councilwoman on the magic council. As much as they got on his nerves, his duty to slay demons was much higher than any form of annoyance he could have toward the woman. The Baraka was only a couple of minutes ahead of him now, and he could see the ugly creature grinning at what it felt was a complete job. Naruto sped up when he heard a scream, and burst from the foliage around the town Belno resided in and saw the councilwoman holding back Baraka with a barrier spell as the monster was repeatedly slashing at the invisible wall. Belno's eyes widened when she caught sight of Naruto, and she let out a relieved breath when the boy immediately rushed toward the demon in front of her. Now she understood why he was so adamant on slaying the demons around Fiore. If she hadn't actively been practicing her Shield Magic when the demon charged her… she shuddered at the pain that would come from it. She promised herself she would support his demon hunts from now on.

Naruto had rush Baraka and kicked him hard in the face. He slid on the ground an summon 2 Chakra receivers from his wrists, and threw them like kunai toward the demon. The Baraka flipped up and deflected the rods, and his long tongue came out to lick up some blood leaking out of the side of his mouth. Baraka chuckled and rushed toward Naruto, who activated his Eye of the Jubi, and pulled out his Armor of Azzinoth, rushing to meet the Baraka. Naruto decided to prolong this fight, and try to see how these demons fought. He had been archiving the knowledge of how to defeat high ranked demons for a while, and the longer he got to examine the Baraka, the easier it would be for future demon hunters to take them down.

Play Two steps from hell - Sons of War

Using one of his blade, Naruto met the Baraka up close and personal, blocking one strike before ducking under another. Naruto jumped over a sweeping kick and attempted to give the demon a hard kick to the skull. The Baraka rolled backwards, then went into a diving spin to try and drill through Naruto. Naruto launched a gravity push with his Deva Path (Eye of the Jubi) and made the demon hit the ground sooner than it wanted. Naruto used his large blades to his advantage and tried to skewer the Baraka but it rolled sideways to dodge. The demon kipped up and ran back to Naruto, slashing with his for arm blades wildly. Naruto backed up as he continually deflected the attacks, the speed no problem for the Sharingan part of the Eye of the Jubi.

Naruto channeled his Chakra Demon's Aura in his Warglaives, giving him a deep purple cloak that surrounded his body, and one tail that was shaped like a large artichoke (I hope I'm not the only one who noticed the god tree's tails look like long artichokes). With a roar, Naruto cut through both of the bone blades in one heavy outward swing of both of his blades. The Baraka didn't get a chance to be shocked when he got a slash into his stomach and a hard metal reinforced punch to the face. Naruto cut off the aura, put his blades on his back and charged an attack.

Belno cheered when the demon was sent flying, and had good mind to go finish off the demon herself. She saw Naruto prepare his trademark attack, the Chakra Demon Rafflesia Cannon. Unfortunately, in the two seconds it took to charge and have the rafflesia open up, Baraka was up and groggily dodged to the side. The trench that opened up was easily ten feet wide, but this didn't slow down the Baraka at all. The Baraka looked over at Belno, who glared back at it, and looked at Naruto, who calmly set himself up to fight again. The Baraka looked to his broken blades and snarled loudly, before taking up a stance that had Naruto raise an eyebrow. He should have realized that high class demons knew fighting styles. Too bad for the demon that his Eye of the Jubi would let him copy this style during the fight.

Naruto quickly requiped into a different armor, letting him fight the Baraka with precision and speed, instead of destructive power like the Armor of Azzinoth. Naruto's form took on a golden glow and the Baraka took the chance to rush at him. When the Baraka threw a hard punch toward Naruto's face, but the sound of a blade being drawn had him stopping his punch early to roll to the side. Unfortunately for the Baraka, Naruto anticipated this and had requiped to his Armor of Kusanagi. He made a quick slash with the Kusanagi and made a cut on the side of Baraka's torso. He quickly sheathed his blade and put his fists together, pointing toward the demon. He jumped into the air as a purple magic circle appeared below his joined fists. With a mighty swing, he said the name of his technique.

"Chakra demons crushing hammer"

A large purple hammer appeared over his fists, going five feet in length and width as well as depth. The Baraka demon had grew his forearm blade by this point and crossed his arms above his head to block the attack. Belno was amazed when she saw the demon get smashed against the ground as if his defense wasn't even there. Naruto wasn't finished as he drew his blade and made a fast cut at the demon. The Baraka grew wide eyed at the purple glow his sword technique created, and made a back roll to get away. Naruto put his blade back again and rush to the demon, engaging him in hand to hand combat.

Belno had a bit of experience with S ranked fights, but she was no S ranked wizard. She was known for her smarts and her tricky Witch Magic as well as her Barrier Magic. She had never seen two being fight at this speedand strength before. She had never truthfully been in an S ranked fight like this before. All she could see were craters and trenches being formed as the fight drew on and on. She heard commotion to the side and saw a group of rune knight, led by a general in the guard as well as a small group of mages from a backwater guild she had no clue the name of. The guard stopped by her and surrounded the battlefield, watching in amazement as the fight continued between the Akuma Sureiya (demon slayer) and the demon that they had gotten news of that went after Belno.

"Councilwoman, we rushed here when we heard the news that a demon had been contracted to kill you, but from your state, it looks like something intervened in his assassination attempt." The general said with a quick salute, while making hand signs for the rune knight to prepare to fight the demon.

"Do not interfere in this fight general, young Naruto has proven more than capable to handle this threat, and from what I've seen, this demon has a high healing factor in it. He would eventually wear you down before killing you and me. Let us let the demon slayer do his job" Belno stated back to the general, who looked very unsure if he should follow that order. Many rune knights had been killed in the line of duty from several demons, which is why they took the liberty of bringing mages with them on this demon hunt, but even then, his duty was to protect the councilwoman, not follow her orders. He was about to retort when a large boom shook the ground they were on.

Naruto had been giving the demon a pretty good beat down after the first few seconds of fighting due to Naruto seeing the movements of his fighting style. The style had half of its attacks as grapples, but unluckily for the Baraka, Naruto was too fast to be grabbed. Naruto started to increase his speed, and the Baraka was put on the defensive. He noticed that more magical signatures appeared around their position so he maneuvered the demon into the center of the circle. He continued to fight and watched as the bruises that formed were fading away and any cut that the demon had were steaming before healing themselves up. Naruto and the demon separated and he smiled seeing it panting as it put its hands on its knees.

Naruto activated his Sage Aura and sprinted to the demon. While he wasn't as fast as when using the Chakra Demon's aura at one tail, he was a lot stronger in this form. There was no way that the demon would live through his combination attack. Charging at the Baraka, the demon tried to give him a kick to his torso, but Naruto ducked under it an attacked with fierce determination. Naruto shot another blast of gravity through his Deva Path, giving him a huge opening as the Baraka staggered back. Naruto shouted his technique as he engaged.

"Rolling Thunder!"

Naruto rolled his upper body in a figure eight, and gave five solid crosses to the demon midsection. The demon's face turned into one of untold pain, but that's when he felt as if a mountain hit his face over and over again. Naruto used the momentum built up from his first five punches to give another five crosses to the demon's face. He gave a smirk as teeth flew out from each hit, since his built up natural chakra augmented his natural demonic strength. The first punch easily broke its jaw, but it was his last punch to the face that had knocked the left eye of the Baraka out of its socket, yet he wasn't finished.

"Gazelle Punch!"

Naruto stepped in, ducked down, and put his weight into an uppercut that hit the demon in the bottom of its jaw sending its body upwards with incredible force. Naruto saw a glazed look in the demon's eye, knowing that its mind had temporarily shut down to block out the pain. Yet Naruto didn't want the demon to not feel pain, he had to send it back to the nether-realm where it came from. Naruto stomped down on his inside foot hard, as the demon was only a foot above the ground at this point. In another second, it would likely be in low orbit around Fiore.

"Corkscrew shot! "

Naruto hit the demon in the chest with a spinning punch, sending it careening into the air, spinning violently as blood poured out of its mouth. Naruto jumped after it with his finisher charging in his hand. He pushed his palm to the demon, his magic covering it's body and making it spin even faster, tearing its muscles and skin to shreds.

"Chakra demon spiraling palm! Namikaze Rendan"

A blast of rotating magic sent the demon back down to the earth, its body spinning so fast that it was only a blur to the amazed audience that were witness to this violent beating. Belno had her jaw to the ground, never imagining that the young man had such a versatile fighting style. Most knew that he was deadly from a long range, but the same mages also though that he fought up close with his many magic swords. This was just… Incredible.

"Chakra demon rafflesia cannon"

Naruto calmly spoke, and by the time the demon hit the ground, the destructive wave of demon slaying magic was right on top of it, making a large explosion and an even larger mushroom cloud that could be spotted many towns away. Naruto rolled in the air several times as he landed in a crouched position. A crater formed around him. Naruto used the last bit of his sage aura to sense if the demon had escaped at all, but it's energy had disappeared. He let out a slight breath and relaxed his muscles, the purplr marking over his eye fading away. Naruto turned and chuckled at the gaping crowd of mages and rune knights behind him. He walked up to councilwoman Belno and gave her a quick bow, then turned and rushed off back to the forest that he had shown up from. By the time the crowd got ever their shock of seeing the fast paced battle, Naruto was leagues away from them. He had notes to write on the demon after all.

~Flashback end~

Naruto was brought back to reality when he heard a lot of footsteps from the eastern side of the town. Naruto calmly looked over and saw a group of 20 magic users and bandits rushing into the town with weapons ready. He sensed that magic of the guild titan nose but felt the mages were not around anymore. He sighed and jumped off the ledge, going into a free fall that ended when he flipped near the ground and landed silently. He pulled out the Raijin, and used his body flicker technique to arrive at a rooftop that the bandits were about to rush by. He jumped down in front of them and the mages of the group immediately shot magic at him.

Naruto activated his Preta path and absorbed all the magic, and crossed his arms as the group slowed to a halt in front of him. The mages in the group were worried, their deal with titan nose stated that there weren't going to be any opposing mages to stop them from trafficking the young women of the town to the slave trade in Fiore. One bandit opened his mouth to speak up, but had a chakra receiver shove through the back of his mouth in a gory display. The swift blade raiders panicked and tried to split up, since their leader was silenced without the mage in front of them moving. They turned only to see several tall black pole surrounding them. When they looked back at the mage, he had even more of the black rods behind him. They were trapped inside of a circle of these without even hearing them being made. One mage rushed at them, using a form of fire magic to shoot a fireball at the rod, and jumped over the explosion to escape. He was struck by a bolt of yellow lightning from three different poles and died as his body was turned to ash.

The mages were truly in a panic mode at this point, and looked at the mage to see him holding a blade made out of lightning in his hand, and the blade was gently touching one of the rods behind him. Naruto activated his human path(eye of the Jubi) and read the minds of three of the bandits and two of the mages. What he found disgusted him, and he now knew where to find most of the women from the raids on the town. Naruto didn't speak as he saw the swift blade raiders rushing toward him to fight. He rushed forward to give out a demon slayers judgement.

With his execution of the raiders finished, Naruto rushed out of the town to the northeast. Nearly ten miles away, he could feel a barrier that blocked out his magic sensing technique, but now that he knew it was there, he would finish the raiders off and return the women of the town, then he would deal with Titan Nose. He ran toward the area, and decided to move faster just in case any of the mages he killed had done something to warn the other 50 swift blade raiders of their incoming doom. Naruto leaned down, put his hands behind his back added magic to his legs, causing him to speed up drastically. It wasn't fast enough for him though, so he activated his Chakra demons aura and caused a sonic wave to appear behind him. Naruto had a magic circle show up in his hands behind his back and molded his magic to form a simple Ritual magic spell.

"Ritual Seal : Wind Blade, Pierce the sky!" A wind blade appeared in front of Naruto, and it split the air in front of him as he ran, increasing his already swift speed. This seal had a special purpose, as it allowed him to charge forward without dodging obstacles, as he was moving fast enough to simply split them if they were in his way.

Naruto split the barrier around the camp, shattering it like glass and causing the many bandits to look up at him. He slowed to a stop at the edge of the camp and saw several women in cages and some chained to trees. Various women were tied up in various ways and some had dull eyes and fluid leaking from their bodies. Naruto clenched his fist and ignored the rage and terrifying yells from the bandits that moved to attack him. Some had grabbed the women they were toying with and held them up at knife point, demanding he surrender and lay down his weapons. Naruto may have grown apathetic from his merging with the Jubi, but he was still Naruto at heart. Naruto pointed his hands at the bandits, activated his Eye of the Jubi and turned on his Chakra Demons Aura, all the way to three tails. This technique would take power after all, and he wouldn't miss a single shot. At the same time, he would make sure these cowardly men suffered.

"CHAKRA DEMON FORCED LIGHTNING"

A wave of purple lightning shot out at all the bandits, and in an instant all the bandits were screaming in pain as the lightning fried all their organs and seemingly targeted all of their pain receptors, which it did. This spell was meant to cause harm, but only to those that he targeted with his eye, so anyone the bandits were holding wouldn't feel the lightning even if they made contact with it. Naruto held the lightning for 10 minutes, while some of the woman sobbed in happiness at seeing their captors squirm in pain. Karma worked in wonderful ways they though. Some of the younger girls were staring dispassionately at the men who had tormented them, They watched as they got shocked to death and begged them for mercy, but they did nothing to help. Fifty bandits died in one of the most painful ways possible, and Naruto felt no remorse for them. As they died, he activated his Human Path to see if there were any more women hidden elsewhere, but thankfully the bandits were cocky, and kept all the women in the center of the camp to try and take away their will to fight back.

Naruto sighed as the men were turned into crispy skeletons, and he lowered his aching arms. He walked over to the cages and used the raijin to cut away the locks. He carved the chains holding some of the women to the trees to pieces and activated his Sage aura. It would keep the women calm as he teleported them back to the town, then settled his score with Titan nose. A feeling of peace swept over the women, and lulled the younger and more traumatized ones to sleep. Unfortunately for Naruto, some of these same girls would sleep and dream of their savior, and grow a small idolization for the hero.

Naruto used his ritual magic to teleport the now free women to the town square where he had the mayor waiting with a large hospital staff. They had taken notice of his slaying the bandits and put their trust in him to clean up the mess their guild got them in. When he appeared with the crowd of women, the townspeople cheered and thanked him profusely, giving him promises of wealth and whatever riches they could come up with. He waved them off and told them to use the money to heal themselves from this horrific time. Naruto walked through the crowd as they dispersed toward the hospital to care for their girls. Naruto arrived at the Titan nose guild building, where he sensed several mages inside, most against the back wall cowering in fear of the magic he had let out as he walked over. He took a glance behind him and saw several people with pitchforks and torches, as well as the mayor with a large axe, all of them with scowls on their faces as they looked at the large nose shaped guild in front of them. Naruto gave a small smile and nod, then lifted his foot and gently tapped on the door. The wooden door exploded in a shower of splinters that rained over toward the mages inside. Some of the mages were in fetal positions against the farthest wall from the door, while Naruto saw Bora himself trying to sneak his way out of the back door. Naruto knelt on the ground and placed his palms against the wooden floorboard.

"Ritual magic : Summon the chains of binding, capture all who dare to run away"

Golden chains erupted from the ground, and in an instant every mage including Bora and Nalshe Mikagure were hoisted above the ground and dangled from the ceiling like piñatas. Naruto pulled out the raijin one more time, and activated it, placing it on the Ritual seal on the ground. This caused every mage to scream as electricity coursed through them. Naruto stepped to the side and allowed the angry townsfolk to take out their vengeance on the mages who cost them so much happiness. The scream of the Titan nose guild got louder as the moon rose into the sky.

Magnolia, Fiore x780

Naruto arrived in Magnolia five days later. His report to the magic council (Aka Belno) had gotten the mages arrested by the rune knights, and it also outlawed charm magic, since Bora had used it to appease the townsfolk time and time again. He had gotten praise for his work from the mayor time and time again, and they allowed him to lodge for free and paid him generously for the B ranked mission. Naruto wouldn't say no to their charity, so he accepted it with a smile and left the town in good spirits. The Titan nose guild would reform under the supervision of a captain of the Rune knights, so at least they would now be a government sanctioned guild in Fiore.

Naruto let out a sigh as he walked out of the train station and requiped to his Kubikiribōchō armor and headed to a bar where he would meet Minerva for a joint A rank mission. Over the year, they had grown closer, but Naruto felt that after Kurotsuchi, he wouldn't be willing to find love again. Him and Minerva were far away from being in a loving relationship, but they were partners in several missions so he would say that they were teammates at best. Sure he did flirt with her a few times, and he had stolen her panties more than once, but that was just to try and ease the tension that she had in her body. He could tell that Minerva hated Jiemma with a passion, and he easily understood why. Jiemma was a man who forced you to try and respect him, and felt that only the strongest should be in charge. Minerva would detest him, btu as long as she was strong, he wouldn't care. Naruto did though, and he wouldn't let another Sasuke into this world if it was the last thing he did.

He would hate to have to decapitate Minerva after all.

Naruto heard a ruckus up a hill in Magnolia and saw the famed fairy tail guild celebrating and destroying their guild hall. He added magic to his eyes and saw a banner above the entrance to the guild saying 'CONGRATULATIONS TO ERZA THE TITANIA, OUR NEWEST S RANKED MAGE'. Naruto shook his head as an explosion rocked the guild hall. He wondered what would happen if he left eh Shibuki blade at the guild hall. An image came to his head of a crater being where Magnolia was on the map of Fiore. Naruto let out a smile and kept walking.

As he passed by the road and turned a corner, a small white haired girl carrying bags of groceries accidently ran into him. Naruto looked down at the girl who was rubbing her face gently. The groceries she was carrying had spilt on the ground but most of the stuff was bagged anyway. The fifteen year old demon slayer knelt down and offered the girl a hand to help her up.

Lisanna was in a rush to get to the guild with the extra party supplies before Natsu and Gray blew the guild hall up. She had rushed from store to store to get all the items on her party list and was running back to the guild hall when she ran face first into what seemed like a waking brick wall. She rubbed her nose as she looked up at the person in front of her. The twelve year old was stunned and had a small blush on her face as she look at the young man kneeling in front of her. His face was chiseled and he had beautiful golden hair. His hair had a wide bang that covered one of his eyes while the other was a deep ocean blue. The eye seemed to stare into her soul and made her feel strangely warm inside. He had on silver and red armor and he had a large butcher like blade on his back. She blushed deeper when she heard his laugh.

Naruto gave off his kind personality that he grew from his youth in order to make the girl in front of him feel comfortable.

"Sorry about that' Naruto said as he used his other hand to rub the back of his head "Sometimes I get lost in my thoughts, and apparently pretty girls run into me since I don't pay attention, my names Naruto"

Lisanna had an even bigger blush stain her face as she stammered out a response. Natsu never called her beautiful, but this really hot stranger had complimented her out of the blue. Oooh Natsu would get a stern talking to later on, no husband of hers would be ungrateful.

Natsu sneezed loudly in the guildhall, accidentally roasting Erza's strawberry cheesecake. This caused her to take out her righteous female anger on his body. That was until Mirajane came and clocked her with a fist to the face, earning Mirajane a retaliating punch to her stomach.

Lisanna took Naruto's hand and let him gently pick him up.

"I'm Lisanna, it's a pleasure to meet you Naruto" Lisanna beamed up to him. Her smile seemed to make the area around them get a little brighter and Naruto smiled at the innocent soul. He didn't even need magic to tell that she was a kind hearted girl. He hoped she would never have to kill another like he was so prone to do. If a young girl like this can stay pure, then perhaps the future had a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

He was known as the kind-hearted demon slayer for being so polite and helping other whenever he had the chance, but no matter what the world said, he was a killer first and foremost, since he had no more forgiveness to hand out to the world. He seemed jaded, but hey, fight through a war and live as a pariah, then have 100 years of forced solitude and the emotional capacity of an immortal tree and this is what you get.

"Well Lisanna, allow me to help you with all of these groceries to wherever you are going, it's the least I could do for knocking you over."

Lisanna smiled at Naruto again, and assisted him in picking up her bags of supplies.

"Thank you very much Naruto, but you don't have to" Naruto laughed and replied back

"I insist Lisanna, you shouldn't have had to carry these all alone anyways" Lisanna nodded and agreed with hi in her mind. She would normally have elfman to help her, but once the fighting broke out, both he and Mirajane had gotten into huge fights around the guild. She sighed and shook her head to clear her thoughts, since today was a special day for Erza. She hoped she could reach S class one day.

Naruto walked with Lisanna to the guildhall of fairy tail, and wondered how much trouble he would get in with Minerva for being late.

Ah well, It's fun to piss her off anyways.
