Chapter 3 Keeping calm

She slept dreaming of the handsome professor. Sometimes she woke up and told herself that he is too old for him. She was 30 but he was 38. But this didn't mattered for her. She was blindfolded by the love approved for him. While those thoughts were in her head, she couldn't sleep properly and the next morning, she couldn't wake up at the usual time. And the head of the research team, Elisabeth Sinskey, who treated Sienna like her daughter, was worried when she arrived at the research campus and couldn't find Sienna her nose buried to a book or to a microscope and talking all the time about what she found that day. This worried the woman. Because Sienna was never late for work. She decided to go to her apartment and visit her. It was clear that something wrong with Sienna so she had to visit her. Elisabeth had the keys to the apartment of Sienna so she started walking to her home to see if she was OK. After a few minutes of a walk, she was standing at her door with trembling hands trying to place the key to the keyhole. After opening the door and entering the house, she stood petrified in front of the saloon. Beacause of the torn pillows and the cotton inside of them which was covering the floor like snow. Was there a thief in the house? If there is one, did he harmed Sienna? Was she alive? She panicked immediately and started running to her bedroom to get the answers of these questions. While running, she saw the broken mirror and her panic increased. But at least she defended herself against the thief she thought. That mess must be the signs of a fight right? With the fear growing inside her, she entered her bedroom slowly. When she saw Sienna lying on her bed and breathing slowly, she calmed a bit. Regaining her courage, she continued approaching to the girl. But she lost her courage again because she had seen the blood on the pillow. That scene reminded her a horror movie. "But I cannot be one of them." she thought. When she looked carefully, she also remarked that there were bloodstains on the floor too. Goodness. That was this moment when Elisabeth lost her self control and started shaking crazily Sienna and scaring her to death. The sleepy scientist woke up screaming. Elisabeth's fear level decreased when she saw Sienna alive."At least she is alive, let's try to learn if she is harmed" she thought. Sienna started crying. To calm her, Elisabeth take her around her arms. A couple of minutes later, she ceased to cry. Elisabeth tried to open up a conversation but no success. She kept sitting on her bed with her knees around her arms. But all of a sudden, she started talking: "I'm sure that you are curious about what happened last night and why didn't I came to work today. Just don't fire me Elisabeth. I have very good reasons just please..."

Elisabeth answered: "I'm not here to fire or hire you I just wanted to know the reason why you weren't at the campus."

Sienna: " OK. I'll tell you all of the story. Yesterday when I came home, I felt completely different. I cannot tell you what was it but the only thing I knew about it was that feeling forced me to do all of this stuff to me and my house."

Elisabeth:" Was it you who did all that mess? Oh my goodness. Continue I want to know all."

Sienna:" First of all I tore up the pillows that you saw at first. Secondly I think I broke the mirror and finally I made my way here to my bedroom to take a little but of sleep. I was feeling relaxed when I was in my bed but it didn't last much. I dreamt about something."

Elisabeth:" What was it Sienna?"

Sienna:" I don't won't to say what was it. It changes nothing. Plus it isn't important."

Elisabeth:" Sure, it is important for me to understand in which psychology you are."

Sienna:" OK but you won't make fun of me when you learn it. Promise?"

Elisabeth:" Promise."

Sienna:"I dreamt of Robert Langdon asking me to marry with him."
