Chapter 3: Why did this happen to me?
Normal POV
Everyone was staring at the two, well their holding hands really. Tsubaki looks like she was about to explode as Kid and Maka walked to the table, Liz looked confused, yet smirking. Soul had an amused expression and Black Star shouting like an idiot.
"Wow, I never knew you two are an item." Liz said, very amused. Tsubaki was squealing in the background (she is a KiMa shipper along with Liz)
"And we thought you two were mortal enemies, you're actually together." Soul said, biting a toothpick.
'Don't be so sure about that' Is what Kid and Maka thought.
"Listen an-" Kid was cut off by Maka as she said,
"And enjoy the mayo~" All look confused with a WTF face. Liz knew what Maka was talking about and laughed.
"Nice one Maka." Liz said.
"Now please let me explain." Kid said.
After 10 minutes of explaining~
"So you two aren't together." Soul said.
"Technically, yes." Kid said.
"And we have to put this charade up for 8 months." Maka said calmly.
"Why did Lord Death do the trouble to do that?" Liz asked.
"I really don't know what is the reason behind it." Kid said.
"Ask your brother then." Soul said.
"Tch. The hell I will!" Kid said.
"Hehe~ Even if he asks Asura won't answer~" Patty said.
"Wow Patty. You actually said something smart." Liz said, stupefied.
Everyone agreed to that since it is rare for Patty to be actually smart.
After Lunch~ Classroom~
Maka POV
Why did this even happen to me?! First I went to school, argue with some rude handsome guy, been called by the principal then I have to date this ego, selfish, jerk guy. Why is my life like this? I'm already poor for Death's sake and just like that! Ugh.
Kid, who is still acting like a jerk who he thinks that he is SO great. I really wish I could punch his pretty face. I also don't know why he even accepted the deal, or even the reason why Lord Death made the deal. I have to deal with it right?
Kid POV
As usual, I'm flirting witht he other girls, but now, with not much enthusiasm. I can't believe i accepted the deal. Why did Father even did that? Well, I hate Maka and I know she hates me. It is very impossible for us to be together. But oh well. I accepted it and there is no way to turn back.
After school~
Normal POV
Kid and Maka walk out of school, together with Liz and the others. Maka was about to go the other way then Kid grabbed her arm, turned her around and kissed her cheek. Maka looked confused and Kid smirked.
"Welcome to my world, Maka Albarn. For this 8 months, I will make your life a living hell." Kid said. Everyone looked shocked at wwhat he said.
"Don't worry, I will return your kindness." Maka said sarcastically. Kid's jaw dropped, also the others.
"Well, it's Saturday tomorrow." Kid said.
"Sure. 8pm then." Maka said and walked away.
'Let the games begin.' Kid and Maka thought.
