Recap: A shot fires.
Kendall P.O.V
I whip around to look at Katie, but she wasn't hit. What about James, Carlos, and Logan? I turn to see them staring at Hank like he does deserves to die. They are not wrong about that. Then, I look at Hank. He fired his gun into the ceiling.
"What the hell was that?" I sternly ask. Katie is now partially peeking at Hank, clinging onto me.
"Now that I've gotten your attention, I need to ask that Katie come with me." My bitch of a father said. No way is Katie ever going to go with that creep, especially alone. But before I was able to answer...
"I don't want to go with you!" Katie suddenly shouted.
James P.O.V
If Katie ever got hurt because of that guy, I would never forgive myself. I can't just let Kendall handle this alone. I nudge Logan, who nudges Carlos. I then move my finger in a single-file line in front of Kendall and Katie. They get the drift right away. We walk over and I stand inches away from Hank, while Logan, then Carlos stand behind me. Kendall didn't see it coming and looked surprised. Hank had now put the gun back in his pocket.
"If you want to get to her, you have to go through us first." I say not really realizing what I was saying at first.
"Excactly." I hear Carlos say. That probably wasn't very smart of him. I could tell it made Hank mad.
"That's fine. It's not like I'd shoot you, but I will beat you up. I want to save my bullets for something else." Hank said, smiling. He is someone on my hitlist.
Kendall P.O.V
"Don't hurt them! I will let you take me, as long as you don't hurt them." That wasn't me. That was Katie. She is willing to give her life for ours. It's too bad that I refuse to let her do that. I turned around so I could look into her chocolate, tear stung eyes.
"Katie, I'm not going to let you do this. You shouldn't go with him, he will hurt you." I said.
"Katie, stick with your choice and come with me." interrupted Hank. The tone of voice he said that in must have made her stick with her choice.
I knew nothing would change her mind when she began to, very slowly, let go of me. Everybody looked at her with different faces. Hank with excitment. Figures. James with sorrow. Logan with regret. Carlos with sadness. I don't know what I looked like. I was focused on Katie.
"Come save me, please." Katie whispered in my ear before her head met the barrel of Hank's gun, which he had taken back out to show he was serious, and so Katie wouldn't run once he had grabbed her. Now I know what he meant. "I want to save my bullets for something else." When he said that, he meant someone, he meant Katie.
James, Carlos, Logan, and I were now in a stright line facing Hank and Katie.
"If any of you try anything right now, I will kill you. I am taking her for a reason. I will call you with the details later." Hank said. I then looked at Katie and mouthed, "I'll save you." I have to save her. She slowly, but surely, nodded her head.
"Hey guys, do you want to..." Her voice dropped. It was Jo's voice. Jo, Camille, and Stephanie were all at 2J. I looked at Logan, who looked mad because his girlfriend was in danger. Carlos just looked plain terrified for his girlfriend. Hank shot a look at them, with the gun still on Katie though. I still knew that they were now in danger too. My two girls... My girls could be killed today.
