AN: Again, I got some fantastic reviews! I'm rather happy with the first two chapters. I have a few days off from work, so I figured I'd try to get you guys a few more chapters. A quick shout out to reader AngieMG. Thank you for the corrections. I took two quarters of Spanish in college, but as you can see, I didn't retain much. I've come to realize that I should have taken it in high school where it would have been easier to memorize!

AN2: I apologize for the late update. Sometimes I just sit here and can't type the words in my head. But it's here for you! I hope you like this chapter!

Disclaimer: Sadly, they're still not my characters (Besides Donovan and Tony. Those guys are mine.)

DANI

The club

Santana had pulled Dani off the dance floor, insisting they needed to get drinks. The two girls followed behind Rachel to the bar and waited patiently for the line to die down. Dani stood, her arm wrapped around Santana as they laughed and enjoyed the night.

"...one condition," Dani heard the bartender say.

"Oh?" Rachel responded.

"Let me take you out to dinner tomorrow night?" Dani felt Santana instantly tense up. She went to ask her what was wrong, but the look of absolute rage on Santana's face threw her off. Santana broke free of her girlfriends grasp and made to step towards Rachel and the bartender.

"Whoa!" Tony exclaimed, stepping in front of Santana. "Hey, S. Why not come outside with me for a minute. I wanted to get some air and this side of town is a little sketchy. Come on," Tony said, grabbing Santana's arm and practically forcing the girl towards the door. "We'll be right back, Dani. Just hang out with Rachel for a bit."

Dani was peeved that the redhead had dragged her girlfriend away, but she turned her attention back to Rachel, mulling over what had just happened in the back of her mind.

"That's so sweet of you," Rachel said. "But I'm actually going to have to turn you down. I've got a boyfriend," she lied.

"Well, that's too bad, beautiful," the bartender said, sliding Rachel her drink. "If you change your mind, my number." She handed Rachel a slip of paper and winked at her.

SANTANA

Alley behind the club

Santana kicked an empty garbage can and watched it roll down the alley.

"What the fuck was up with that? Didn't that bitch see that Rachel isn't here alone? What the fuck does she think she's doing? Perra estúpida necesita ser puesto en su lugar!" Santana shouted.

"Santana! Calm down!" Tony said.

"No! Who does she think she is? She's not good enough for Rachel and I will fucking ends her," Santana said, trying to push past Tony to get back in the club.

"You go back in there now and start something, Rachel will be beyond pissed with you. Is that how you want her to find out you're in love with her? By beating some stupid bartender up and getting arrested?"

"I DON'T WANT HER TO FIND OUT AT ALL! But she deserves better," Santana yelled.

"She deserves to be happy, Santana. And I'm pretty sure that's all she fucking wants. You don't want her to find out, but by being around her, you're tearing yourself apart! You need to do something about this."

"Like what? What do you suggest I do?"

"I don't know, Santana. But you're going to kill yourself doing it this way. You need to figure your shit out," Tony said.

Santana slid down the building wall and sat on the ground.

"How do I avoid the one person I can't live without? How do I do it without tearing my own heart out?" Santana cried.

Tony settled next to her. "I don't know, S. But you've got to figure it out soon."

Tony sat there, calming the latina down before they went back in. Unbeknownst to them, they'd left the door ajar when the came out. And Dani stood on the other side, tears rolling down her face as she held her hand over her mouth.

DANI

A week later, outside Kurt and Blaine's apartment

Dani stood outside Kurt's apartment for a moment, thinking. After hearing Santana's confession, Dani had withdrawn from the brunette to think things through. She had always seen the bond between her girlfriend and the diva. She just never thought that the bond was this deep.

Santana had been busy at the precinct. It had given Dani time to think. Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door and waited quietly.

"Dani!" Kurt said, opening the door. "It's so good to see you! Come in." He pulled Dani in for a hug and then lead her into the apartment. "Sorry about the mess. Blaine and I are redecorating the house and we haven't really had a chance to clean up yet."

Random boxes and store bags sat in the dining room and on the couch. Dani smiled sadly. Kurt and Blaine were moving on with their lives. And Dani just couldn't get past this small hurdle.

Kurt lead Dani into the dining room and sat down. "What brings you to the neighborhood? I haven't seen you in a while. Santana says you've been busy with the new record."

"Yeah," Dani smiled. "We've been working on it non stop. They're hoping to have it ready to be released by the time summer gets here."

"Oh! That's only a few months from now! I demand that my copy be signed," Kurt said.

Dani laughed. It was hard not to be happy around Kurt. But somehow, he still saw the hurt in her eyes.

"Dani? You didn't come all the way over here just to talk about your record, did you?" Dani shook her head, a tear spilling out. "Oh, sweetie! What's wrong?"

"I need to tell you something. It's really important and you can't tell anyone. Especially not Rachel," she said softly. Kurt looked bewildered, but promised none the less. "Kurt, I'm going to leave Santana."

"What? Why? Dani, what's going on? Did Santana do something? I swear, I will kick her ass…" Kurt said.

"No, Kurt," Dani stopped him. "Santana didn't do anything. Well, not anything she could help."

"What does that mean," Kurt asked, confused.

Dani remained silent for a moment, searching for the proper way to tell her friend.

She looked him in the eye and decided brutal honesty was going to be the best tactic at this point. "Santana is in love with Rachel," she says.

Kurt bursts out laughing.

"Why are you laughing?" Dani asked.

"Do you have any idea how crazy that sounds," Kurt asked. "Santana isn't in love with Rachel. Santana hated Rachel up until senior year. She helped start the slushies. She made high school a living hell for Rachel, Dani. There's no way she's in love with her."

Dani thought quietly for a moment before speaking up. "I can prove you wrong in two ways, Kurt."

"Alright. I'm listening," he said, crossing his arms and leaning forwards, giving her his undivided attention.

"First, didn't your dad ever tell you that if someone picked on you or bullied you, it was because they liked you?" She asked. He nodded. "Okay. Santana told me about some of the shit you guys went through in school. She told me about Dave, Kurt." Kurt's eyes went wide. "Dave made your life a living hell, didn't he?" Kurt nodded again. "And why did he do that?"

"Because...he had a crush on me," Kurt whispered.

"Yes. Dave had a crush on you, but he was scared to act on it. So he made life hard for you. When he finally came out, when he finally admitted his feelings for you, what happened?"

"I...I turned him down. Told him I was in love with Blaine. But we became good friends after graduation," Kurt said. Again, his eyes grew. "Oh god. Santana's in love with Rachel!"

"Exactly! Now you understand!"

"It makes so much sense now! They got closer after Santana came out. And then Santana followed Rachel and I here to New York! Why didn't I see this years ago?!" Kurt rambled. "Wait...Santana is in love with Rachel," he looked at Dani who shared a sad smile with him. "I am so sorry, Dani. I should have seen it sooner. We could have warned you."

"It's alright, Kurt. I'm actually not angry about it. I mean, I wish she would just tell me, but I'm not angry."

"Wait. You said two ways? What's the second?" Kurt asked.

Dani sighed. "Last week, on girls night, she invited her friend Tony. Rachel was at the bar getting a drink. Santana and I were right behind her to get our own. The bartender hit on Rachel and Santana nearly jumped the bitch. Tony jumped in and pulled Santana outside. I went to check up on them and I heard Santana say that she loved Rachel. But she doesn't want Rachel to know. She doesn't ever want Rachel to find out."

Kurt remained silent for a long while. "What are you going to do?" he asked.

"I suppose, for now, I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear it. While I try and figure out what to do," she said.

"What do you mean?" Kurt asked.

"Rachel and Santana would be great together, Kurt. We have to get Santana to admit her feelings. We have to get them together." Dani said.

AN: Alright. There's Chapter 3 for you lovely folks. What do you think so far?
