It takes a while to get used to it. Before coming here, he was always the smartest one, the one people came crying to when something needed fixing. And now, now he's just another scientist, at the beck and call of the most arrogant and brilliant scientist he has ever known. No underlings come crying to him anymore, they go to McKay.
This upsets him, a little, but he gets over it when he realizes that when McKay needs someone to cry to, he always goes to Radek.
