Disclaimer: DON'T OWN IT!
Meredith
She slowly opened her eyes and the world spun around her.
"Look at this boat! It's huge! It's incredible!"
"Derek, this is exactly what we needed. You were right."
"Aren't I always?"
She gave him a shove in the side as Mark and Lexie walked up behind them and onto the boat.
"How's your hand?" Derek asked Mark.
"Bruised, but so worth the punch.
Izzie and Alex weren't far behind them.
"I booked us the honeymoon suit," Derek whispered and Meredith giggled softly. "They have a huge bathtub in there," Derek added. "I'll race you there."
"Oh you're on."
She turned onto her side and gasped as the absolute worst pain she had ever felt shot through her arm.
"This is incredible!" Meredith said, taking in the rose colored walls, the king sized bed, the huge bathroom.
"I don't what to say I told you so but...
"Derek Shepherd, you are the best husband ever." She pushed him back onto the bed. "Want to test how sturdy this thing is?"
"Is the door locked?"
"We'll find out."
There was a huge gash running from her shoulder to just below her elbow.
Blood was flowing profusely from it.
She squeaked in shock.
She awoke to her head on her husband's naked chest.
She loved waking up to him and the slow rocking of the boat.
"Derek," she whispered, and tapped his chest.
"Hmm?"
She kissed his chest and smiled as she stood up and grabbed his t-shirt. She pulled it on over her head and climbed back onto the bed.
"Cold?" he guessed.
"Yeah. I think you'll need to warm me up."
He took her hand into his own and rubbed it quickly. She smirked as he moved onto her next hand, and then to her shoulders.
He kissed her shoulder and her chest and began to move lower as the boat rocked.
"Oh!" Meredith gasped and looked around her, trying to hold the gash on her arm shut.
She was surrounded by trees and sand and water.
"Oh no," she whispered. "Not again."
Derek had rolled off the bed when they hit the bump, and Meredith leaned over it, laughing quietly to herself.
"How's it going down there?" she asked.
He rolled his eyes and chuckled as the boat rocked again.
"Jesus! Are you okay?"
She heard someone groaning from off to the side somewhere.
"Derek?" Meredith whispered, and forced herself up with her good arm.
Derek attempted to grab Meredith as the boat rocked again and then something exploded.
BOOM!
She was surrounded by water when she opened her eyes, and she couldn't breathe.
Every time she tried, she would inhale water.
Everything began to grow black as an arm wrapped around her and yanked her up to the surface.
She coughed up the water and gasped for breath as her husband yanked her onto a piece of the boat that had fallen off.
There were several screams from all around, and it was pouring rain.
"No," Meredith whispered. "This is not happening. Not again."
She couldn't feel her body. She was freezing, and she blacked out just like that.
She limped pulled herself up the sand with her good arm, and she found him all bloodied and shivering in the middle of the sand.
He was naked.
That's how he had been on the boat.
"Not again," Meredith said. "Not again. Not again. Not again. Derek, wake up!"
She pushed his chest with her good arm and he groaned quietly, looking up at her.
"Shit," he whispered when he saw his surroundings.
Meredith looked down at his shirt which she was still wearing, and then to her bloody arm and her knees which rested in the sand.
"It happened again," a voice said from behind them.
Derek turned his head backwards to see Lexie standing there.
She was smiling.
