Rose was now six years old and had been training in hand to hand combat, shadow wielding, and sword wielding for two years. Right now she was with her mama visiting Diagon Alley as a birthday treat, she was allowed to get three books of her choice and she loved to read so this was the best gift ever in her young mind.
"Now remember what I told you. If you see a book you want but can't reach, ask me to get it don't try to climb the shelves…again." Zola reminded her little one who's eyes lit up brilliantly when they entered the Book Shop, her reminder causing the cashier to laugh. When the two of them came into the shop last year little Rose had found some books that looked interesting but she couldn't reach…so she merely climbed the shelves and grabbed the books. This caused nearly everyone in the store, particularly her mama and a nice old lady with stern glasses and a green robe on, to almost have a heart attack…especially since she decided it'd be a good idea to backflip off of the shelf. Zola swore up and down that if her hair wasn't silver already it would have been stark white out of shock and horror that day. The then five year old had to have done it on purpose too.
"Yes mama!" Rose said with a wide mischievous grin on her face, one that matched Shu's perfectly and caused Zola to internally groan. The girl took after her ancestors far too much for her liking. Zola wouldn't have her beautiful little girl any other way though. Rose was a one in a million child and Zola loved her just the way she was.
"I'd better put a cushioning charm on the floor." The manager muttered to himself as he got out his wand and began casting the charm over the floor of the store… and the bookshelves too as an afterthought.
"Thanks. I already have permanent cushioning charms all over our house thanks to her climbing and jumping tendencies." Zola said sighing in relief, and causing the manager to smirk. He didn't doubt it one bit. The girl was a monkey at the worst of the times, at the best… she was worse than a monkey. Zola didn't know how but somehow some way Rose learned how to climb up a wall and ceiling spider man style.
She just knew this was somehow Shu's fault. It had to be…this was something only he would do.
