The life of a nation is cruel and we all have learned that while growing up in the past centuries, on this weird planet we called earth and which we know is our home till the end of our days even if we don't know when that will be?
Germany knew that life was like that. Since it was very hectic when he grew up, which was not long after the Congress of Vienna. A lot of things happened that people didn't see coming, a lot of nations agreed that that Congress in general was a weird time. Every European nation that I talked to while trying to figure out who could be behind this could agree with me on that.
The place where the person we knew as Germany would grow up, would also be one of the areas that would get heavily involved the upcoming protests and the wars that followed those.
I don't claim that any of the European nations were free from conflicts that rose up during the centuries. Every one of them had their very own conflicts to deal with. It didn't really need their people, family issues were not uncommon either.
Germany, later named Ludwig initially no last name given, was 12 when the war against Denmark began. Which wasn't something abnormal, since many of us had to start with trainings and fighting in wars way earlier than that. But it were the circumstances that surrounded that war that made it a whole lot different.
The thing that had happened was that he had recently lost all of his memories and he had to learn everything he had to know and the things he already knew before all over again. He had very little of his old memory back and knew barely the basic things he had to know but fought in the war which was to his luck a war they have won.
The fact that Germany hadn't got any memory of what had happened before being found and he looked and acted a lot like Holy Rome made many people believe that he could be the dead country. Trying to prove that the little boy so many people loved was still alive. No one could prove what they thought and slowly they started to move. Many of them explained that they realized that even if he was Holy Rome, that they would never be able to recover his memories about that time.
From many sources, who have told me that he had emotionally a hard time as a little boy without any memories of the previous years of his life at al. It really seemed to be a problem to him that he didn't remember half of his life. His brother told me that he kept asking what had happened before he was found, near a battle field on a piece of land in what used to be the Holy Roman Empire in the year 1804.
Prussia didn't want to tell him much about that time. He wasn't sure if Germany was really his little brother who was presumed to be death. We never found the body of the young nation so we don't know. So he told Germany stories that were as vague as possible, but did include little details so he could slowly remember things. He wanted to slowly trigger memories and tried to find proof that Germany was really Holy Rome.
Something Germany himself told me was that he knew how people had reacted to the appearance of his older brother. The German also knew what they did to him and he told me that he never had the courage to tell his brother that he knew about what the villagers did to him.
Almost like he would make him more upset than he was already was with the death of Holy Rome that he didn't want to tell that he had once followed his older brother to meetings. And saw what they did to the Prussian there.
Many nations say that he wanted revenge on what the people of his brother's country had done and wanted that as soon as possible, but it still took him until 1914. It was that year that he was able to get his hands on someone who he was allowed to punish him. It has kind of been made a rule that if a representation lost a battle that the winner could beat them. It was the first time that he could really use it as an advantage and that he did.
They also say that what happened between them in World War II that it could have only been because he boss had forces him to do that as revenge on what the country of Belgium had done in WO I. Implying he never was the one that actually wanted revenge on the previous neutral nation.
He, himself never confirmed if the rumour everyone was telling was true or not. Which to this day make people wonder if it has been the real reason behind everything that had been going on.
Everyone who really knew what was going on between them had already died in the past century. The person who was the victim of all of this had also died in the past century as well. It is really sad, since I really wanted to know what was the real reason behind that.
What would have made someone as forgiving as the person he had hurt, take the hate she had for him in her grave. Or at the very least that is what is believed by the nations that survived the killings so far.
There is something else that bothers me though. It is the fact that people keep saying that Germany had only one friend during his long life on this planet. It bothers me why people keep believing it, even if the person himself kept telling everyone that it wasn't true at all and that he did have other friends beside Italy.
What is true is that the Italian was the German's first friend and remained that 'till like a year after that they became friends. That is when he met Japan and not long after that the two of them became really close friends.
Surprisingly Japan and Germany had shared the same views and opinion on a lot of things. Germany said that he couldn't really tell why people believed after he told that it wasn't true at all. Neither could Japan really, but Japan most likely was never believed because of the fact he never fully pushed his opinion. Hence why less people wanted to believe him.
Germany could be intimidating to some people, but talking to him not long after his husband went missing showed a completely different person than I was used to see during meetings and who I got to know over the years.
He showed his kind side, but also how a big and strong guy like him also had a soft spot and that he actually can be a very sensitive person. The disappearance of his first friend and his husband took its toll.
He himself was completely devastated when he realized that his newlywed husband had disappeared during the party after the wedding ceremony. I would love to go in detail about this but I can't.
I wasn't told that much about it by others, who loved to kept their stories very vague and with little things I would use to get wiser. I wasn't at the party myself for two reasons. I knew people would start to drink a lot of alcohol and I hate it, I like to stay as far from it as I can.
The first thing was planned, I didn't plan to stay at all but the real reason that I didn't join that night was different. I was at a the ceremony and suddenly didn't feel well. I insisted that I would be able to make it to my hotel by myself but Prussia and Spain insisted on bringing me. Looking back on it, it might have been the best thing that both of them could have done since there was no way I would have made it there. The closer I got to the hotel the worse it got so I am glad they did that for me. My reason for not having witnessed the chaos at the party myself.
I couldn't have asked Germany much about it since it was very sensitive to him and I didn't want to bring him into a depression or something like that. And of course it is a sensitive subject, his husband being kidnapped. Even if my country doesn't allow for it yet, doesn't mean that I can't understand the love between two men.
It was kind of frustrating that people didn't want to tell me about it since it didn't help me at all. I thought Italy's disappearance might be the key to figuring out who did it.
I didn't want to force them to tell me what had happened. I can understand that it can be a very sensitive thing to them and that included things that they may not want to tell me since they didn't know me that well and I completely understand that and I am not mad at all. Can't really deny that it doesn't make me less frustrated though.
All by all it seemed that Germany, like many others that have went before him, left it to the dead to tell who he was and what he had felt. Most people either kept that to themselves or told someone who died or a death person who they really were.
The blond German did a combination of both. He and the dead were the only people who could tell me about the real him, but since they are dead they couldn't tell me. No one knew what was going on in his heart and mind. It was to others to guess what could have gone through the guy's head when he was still alive and kicking. It's kind of sad that no one really knew the complete story, even his brother told me he knew it was foolish of him to claim that he did.
Little did I know that Antwerp's little sister did mention a lot about the way younger blonde German in the book that she had used to explain her whole life. Antoon or Antwerp depends on how you want to call him had to point it out in the very thick book otherwise I wouldn't have known about it at all.
In a way I am very glad that she took the time to actually write those things down, even if they didn't get along anymore.
We were both surprised about how she wrote about him in her book. It was really surprising to read that she didn't say anything bad about him at all or mention what he did. This was weird sine we both knew how the brunette had acted to him while she was alive, because of what had happened in the past.
She said and I quote: ' Much to popular believe is that people think we don't get along at all and that we hate each other, which is not true at all. I really don't hate Germany at all. I don't trust him that much anymore after what he has done to me in the past but I really don't hate him at all. Honestly I don't have a reason to.
People may find it weird to read this from me since, because how I acted towards him when I was younger and clouded by anger. Yes I am well aware that I am going to die since I think the killer will not spare any couple their lives. I don't think it is only limited to the guys, I just know.
He is nice guy and I know that he didn't mean to do what he did back then. I knew that he wanted revenge because of what people had done to his brother in the past. I know what they did, I was one of the few who Prussia had told what was going on back then. He believed that my similar situation would make me understand it a lot better and I guess in a way that was actually true.
I understand that situation, the situation Gilbert described to me, since I have been in one similar to that one as well and that is why I understand why he wanted revenge. It is a normal thing to do, I would have done the same it that had happened to my siblings.
I am pretty sure that he isn't Holy Rome, unlike what most people believe just because of some things that matched. I don't believe it because to me some of his personality is pretty different from how Holy Rome used to be. Of course I can be wrong about it and Germany can be him but I am pretty sure he isn't. People say that death can change people after all.
Maybe for my own dumb reasons, but I am one of the very few who don't believe it even though I would have loved to. My heart I just knows that it isn't him and now everything is going fine again I promised myself that I would listen to my heart again. I had to promise Holy Rome I would stay strong and I will. With his advice I try to live my life like it might end tomorrow.
Germany said that he himself didn't believe the theory of him being Holy Rome, because he had some memory from before he was found. Even it was very little memory that was left he was still able to remember talking to Holy Rome and even see him dying.
He told me that he didn't want to tell the others because the death of Holy Rome was still a very painful subject to a lot of the countries and he didn't want to hurt their feelings by telling it. Even after so many years it remains a very sensitive subject to them. Germany didn't want to see them cry so he hoped people would just get over it soon. Even if it meant that question would remain unsolved/
He said that he had been raised by his grandfather until the empire died and after that lived mostly alone with his brother checking up on him from time to time to make sure he was okay. Prussia is also the one who told him that.
Ludwig said that the day his older brother died that he was there. His memory is fuzzy after that and he doesn't remember anything until Prussia found him there passed out on the ground.
He said that he knows the things I have written down. I am not making this up. I have the notes that the German nation gave to me.
I even trust someone, who is like a little brother to me their faith in the man's hand, because I know that the guy will do everything to keep him safe and seeing that he puts his words into deeds.
That is why I trust him with Italy, it seems that he is able to keep the promises he made with Italy and well if he does. Who am I to keep him away from the person he loves so much?
Italy seems to like him very much too so even if I didn't like him it wouldn't have been fair towards him. Who am I to say to him that he can't be with the person he loved the most?'
I, myself and also her older brother were surprised to read what she had written down. Both the way she described Germany, which was surprising she didn't get along with him at all but also the theory she proposed.
We asked Germany about what was written, in the up to that point unpublished book about the life of the long dead capital of a small continent that people call Europe.
Germany confirmed the info that was on the pages of the book that we had showed him. We did let him read it. We thought that it was the best way and it is part of a book. Books are meant to be read after all.
He was glad that finally someone else knew about how he had felt over the past years, even decades. The German said that he was grateful that she had written it down for everyone to read.
The blond said that he felt guilty that he was never able to tell Italy about the truth. He knew how sensitive the subject of Holy Rome was to him and he said that he would have been heartbroken to see him cry.
And that is the last thing he wanted to do. He left the situation of The Holy Roman Empire thing like it was now and didn't tell him that he was sure that he wasn't the dissolved country. And that most important of all that he had seen the poor guy die in front of him.
Even though he wasn't Holy Rome at all, most of us still felt like he had disappeared again or left for a second time when Germany went missing about a year or two after Italy's dead body was discovered
It started to look like that the disappearance of Germany and the countries that followed after him weren't that much of a surprise to most of the nations. The only thing memorable that others could tell me was, that Germany disappeared on the same day that Italy was discovered. It was June 6th.
Why the killer picked the same day for his disappearance and Italy's discovery is unknown to us, like many other things involving the unfortunate demise of these nations. Theories say that the killer would have picked that day because of the fact that Germany goes to his grave every year.
He would have been an easy target if the right time was picked for it. Germany was there alone that day so the killer could have done what he wanted. Evidence for this theory are the flowers on the grave that were very fresh when others found them. They believed that he had laid them there. So it is very likely that he had visited that place right before he was kidnapped.
Though it is very likely that it was him, who laid the flowers on the grave of Italy Veniciano. We don't have solid prove to say that it had been him and we have no eye witnesses. The only thing we are sure of is that Ludwig Beilschmidt or more known as the representation of Germany was abducted when he was not inside his house. Which had become very rare after the disappearance of his husband.
The prove that he was outside is there since the front door had been locked and every light and such was out. Indicating that the nation had intended to leave his house but nothing looked like he chose to stay away longer than like an hour.
Things like his wallet and his mobile phone where still inside the house. If he would have 'ran away ' like some speculate he did, he would have taken his phone with him. Also for the fact that his brother was extremely worried that he would get kidnapped as well. For that reason he always carried his phone with him when he went outside longer than ten to twenty minutes.
A piece of evidence a lot of theorist over look. It is sad to see that they say that Germany just ran away and committed suicide in the forest. Which is highly unlikely since Germany was stable enough to make clear decisions, even after Italy's death he tried to run his country and help others. He was the only lover up to that point that showed no suicidal tendencies.
Something that most lovers were unable to do after their love died. Some even lost their mental stability in the progress. Switzerland and England are the perfect examples for it.
I use these two as examples because I already talked about them and if you can remember what I told about them before. You can clearly see that they lost the stable state they had before.
Though the first is still in a coma. I think it was never the killers intention to get Switzerland into the hospital and the main reason that he is still in a coma and not dead is speculated that he is in a hospital with too many people who could walk on them killing the nation. Also the fact that kidnapping him to kill him somewhere else would not be possible because the machines that where linked to the man would go off and then they would be able to find him soon.
It is mere speculation since we have no real prove of it, but if you look at it. It makes the most sense of all the weird ideas people seem to come up with.
But as much as we speculated, it didn't bring the nation back. And the speculation was somewhat brought to an end, when after three years of long waiting they were finally able to find the body of the missing German.
It was close to what was kept as the remembrance of the Berlin Wall. It almost looked like his body had been laying there for decades. It looked like a scene from during the war.
He was shot in the head ones and several times in the chest. It looked like they had executed him for something the reason yet unknown.
It really was like this is war where only the good side was harmed for an unknown reason and by an unknown enemy that hides in the night.
The only soldier who would be able to tell is in a never ending slumber or maybe the soldier wakes up and saves the others.
And end the war before everyone gets killed.
