Morning Sickness and Sutures.
Chapter 3
"Is it true?" asked George.
"Is what true?" asked Lexie.
"You're pregnant?" asked George.
"What? Oh yeah," answered Lexie.
"You know Gabrielle told me you're in love with me?" asked George.
"Did she really?" asked Lexie.
George nodded. "Why didn't you say anything?"
"You know what George don't just don't. Yes I was in love with you but I'm not any more. I'm pregnant with someone else's baby and quite frankly I don't care about you anymore," stated Lexie.
Before George could make any comment Lexie walked off only to come back minutes later.
"Also I'm moving out the crapartment isn't healthy for me."
With that last comment Lexie walked off and George knew that was the end of their friendship.
"Is Lexie moving in with you?" asked George, sitting down at lunch.
"No. I asked and she said she'd think about it," answered Meredith.
"She's just told me she's moving out," said George.
"Maybe she's moving in with the father," suggested Cristina.
"She won't tell anyone who the father is. I don't think she knows who it," said Alex. "All I know is it isn't me."
"I think she has a scan today maybe someone should go loiter in OB/GYN and see if anyone goes in with her or goes in her room," suggested Meredith.
"Or you could just wait for me to tell you," said Lexie, sitting down eating an apple.
"You hate apples," said Meredith.
"I know the baby wants them," answered Lexie. "Oh crap is that the time."
"Five to one yeah," said Izzie.
"I gotta go bye," called Lexie, running off.
"Scan," answered Meredith.
"Lexie?" asked Derek.
"Yeah why aren't you sitting with Mark?" asked Meredith.
"He's busy," answered Derek.
"Which means he's screwing someone," said Cristina.
Up in OB/GYN.
"So I told George I was moving out and I'm eating apples and someone might be coming up to see if they can see who the father is," gabbled Lexie.
"Calm down," smiled Mark.
"How can I when someone might find out you're the father. I'm not ashamed about that but the second someone does Derek will beat the crap out of you," gabbled Lexie.
"I'm getting an apartment," said Mark.
"Really?" asked Lexie.
"There's three rooms. You can live with me," said Mark. He glanced around looking for anyone and dropped his voice. "I also might have caught feelings of you."
"Mark you don't catch feelings," laughed Lexie.
"I know," he whispered, leaning forward.
"Lexie Grey," called the nurse.
Lexie and Mark headed in seconds before Meredith walked into the waiting room. Upon seeing no sister she turned and walked out.
"I missed her," said Meredith.
"So you don't know who the father is?" asked Derek.
Meredith shook her head.
"Why don't you just wait for her to tell you," he suggested.
"I just want to be there for her," said Meredith.
"Pushing her to tell isn't supporting her," said Derek.
Up with Mark and Lexie.
"And there is your baby," said the doctor.
"There it is," whispered Lexie.
Mark reached down to clasp her hand and she looked up and smiled.
"There it is," smiled Mark. "Our baby."
Mark knew in that moment he was a goner for Lexie Grey and he'd never be the same again and he was ok with that.
