Well, here's the next chapter. I was able to bring it out sooner than expected. Unexpected holidays, you see. This chappy here is Road's. As for Lenalee's "ROAD MUST DIE", I'll be addressing that issue in the chapters to come (Yes! I'm planning for two more ^_^, thanks to Koneko Hoshi's review).

Now, for the disclaimer. Le… wait, she'll probably kill me. Road!

Road: Saro-chan does not own DGM *Glomps*. Although, I wouldn't mind if he does. *Glomps Allen*

Lenalee and Lou Fa: We would. *Throws me out of the window*

Well then, on to the stooorryyyyy…

SWEETER THAN CANDY

If there was something that Road Kamelot loved, it would be Candy. It had something to do with its wonderful, unadulterated sweetness, not unlike that white haired bundle of cuteness called Allen, the exorcist, which was one of the many reasons that had drawn the petite Noah to the aforementioned boy. And if there was something Road absolutely hated, it was sharing her candy. She was especially touchy on that subject, even with the members of her Noah family. The same went with Allen, which was the reason for the little Noah's pout as she straddled Allen after she tackled him onto his bed.

"Al~len!" she whined, "She kissed you!" giving Allen a renewed pout to express her disapproval and hurt. The boy underneath her just looked at her and grinned. "Al~…" she began again, but was cut off this time as he pulled her down flush against him and kissed her. She was startled for a moment, but quickly regained her composure and deepened the kiss. Another of the many things she loved about her Allen, he usually managed to startle her pleasantly at least every time they met. That Allen could actually find enough deviousness in him to startle her was something she hadn't imagined even in the wildest of her dreams, him always looking so goody-goody with that smile on his face. But then, there was a lot of things that people usually mistakenly assumed about him.

Chief among the aforementioned things happened to be his eternal smile which could actually fool you into thinking that he was actually happy. But Road, being the person she was (I'll leave what kind to open interpretation), had seen through that mask the first time she had seen him at Rewinding town. She, as befit her nature, wanted people to express pain if they felt any, and thus she thought that she could help Allen by driving a candle into his eye, just to help him drop that smile for a little while. She thought it would help his psyche, you see. And it seemed to work, for he seemed nice and spry for the rest of the fight, right upto the point where she had the Akuma self-destruct itself in front of him. Now, Road usually did not help people, but, there was something about Allen Walker that made her drive her candle into his eye. Yes people, it was the bloody beginning of love.

There was something, some undefinable something about Allen that made him as tenacious as a little cockroach in Road's wonderful mind. Maybe it was because of his helpless-puppy like cuteness, or maybe the fact that he didn't shoot her full of holes when she offered him the chance in Rewinding town, or the unique taste of his blood that she had licked off one of her candles.

Anyways, she thought she would visit him in his dreams, just to see what it was. She did, and boy was she wonderstruck at the amount of pain and loneliness involved there. Allen, it seemed from his dreams (or nightmares, more precisely), had been abused and chased away from every place he went as a child because of his strange arm. So typical of humans, she thought, a frown of contempt across her perfect features. And it seemed he had also turned someone fairly important to him into an Akuma and destroyed them, again courtesy of that hand.

And thus it was as Road found Allen screaming and whimpering in his mind, thanks to all the horrors of his childhood. Now, as mentioned already, Road wasn't the sort of person to help a person screaming in pain. On the contrary, she would have enjoyed it and encouraged the person concerned with great gusto. But something was different about Allen. She realized, with growing alarm, that she DID NOT want him to scream. There was something about his screams that tugged at her heart. So, she brought him to her dream world and as he looked about in confusion, she approached him. His eyes went wide and he backpedaled. Since his latest nightmare involved all sorts of people tearing him to pieces and burning him, his reaction was quite understandable.

But she ran upto to him and in her own unique fashion, glomped him. He started to panic and thrash about, but slowly, he seemed to realize that Road, the Noah who had seen it fit to drive a candle through his eye, wasn't hurting him like most of the people he had met. In fact, she, wonder of wonders, she seemed to be hugging him. As she felt him go limp, she started to stroke his hair, soothingly, noting, that even though this seemed totally out of character for her, Allen's obvious comfort somehow satisfied her at a level of heart.

Then on, she came to visit him in his dreams everytime she could, just to hold him and keep the nightmares away. She began to get very confused about her feelings for this exorcist and there seemed to be no one she could talk to about it. Until Tyki killed him, that is. Tyki was always her favourite family member but at that moment when Tyki reported that Tyki had killed off her precious Allen Walker… wait… 'her' Allen? That was when she realized it. Of all the people in the world, she had taken a liking, maybe even loved that white haired (plus super cute) exorcist Allen Walker. She had very hesitantly talked to Tyki about it later on, when she had found Allen wasn't dead through his dreams, after she had appropriately skewered him with her candles to vent her anger of course. He had muttered that nothing would come out of love between an Exorcist and a Noah, but he added that love, nasty bitch that she was, was usually like that and people had no option but to follow.

'Soooo…' Road had thought with amusement, 'I love him, eh?'. But then another thought invaded her mind, causing her to frown. 'What if he didn't love her?' Of course, she comforted him in his dreams and for quite some time had actually put a real smile on his face, but was that enough. And there always seemed to be that bloody Lenalee who was always ogling him. And he seemed to be nice to her too. That thought had made her blood boil. 'Well… I'll find out soon enough' she thought, smirking to herself.

And thus she had glomped and kissed Allen at the Ark. And though Road would deny it if ever questioned, she felt a tiny bit of apprehension and fear of him rejecting her and pushing her away. But she was most pleasantly surprised when she felt his arms wrap around him and his answering kiss. Ohhhh… she had felt as if she were in Heaven. Just as she was about to deepen the kiss further, that damned pumpkin headed umbrella golem had come straight at her face, shouting how wrong it was to kiss an exorcist. She would've killed Lero then and there had she not seen Allen and smirked at the blissful expression she saw there. His friends were trying to bring him out of his stupor thinking that he was horribly shocked, but she knew better.

Later, during the battle, she had been mightily pissed when he 'exorcised', her uncle. But on close examination, she found him to be still alive and her anger dissipated a little, although she intended to show them just what it meant to hurt her uncle. She couldn,t bring herself to do anything to Allen and that was why she had chosen the Bookman apperentice. But it seemed that she had misjudged him and she ended up crumbling as ash. But, even that was worth it, as she saw the horrified expression on his face and understood that he really loved her. She was also pleasantly surprised when she learned that Allen was the vessel for the fourteenth. But, she sighed, knowing him, he wouldn't give in to the fourteenth, no matter what the cost.

She let him languish in nightmares for a few days before visiting him to comfort him again. And boy was he happy to see her. No sooner had he spotted her in his dreams than had he swept her into a hug and told her that he loved her through his tears and kissed her lovingly. She broke away after what seemed too soon, but was necessary for them both to catch their breaths and Allen set her down, but she noticed that Allen's hand lingered on her rear a little too long. That was when Road had been first startled by Mr. Goody-Goody two shoes. After that, their life had been a whirlwind of secret meetings, too short to satisfy the both of them and a string of surprises for Road about Allen, who despite his appearance seemed to have a little bit of his Master's character rubbed off on him.

And so here they were, she straddling him, as he affectionately squeezed her…well…rear. "Let me get that out of your mouth" she said before kissing him as deeply as she could manage. When they finally broke away, oblivious to one hatred filled pair of green eyes staring holes through her from outside the window, she leaned down and said to Allen, "Ne, Al~len. Take a holiday sometime next week and treat me to candy." she said haughtily. One look at her imperious expression told Allen he had no say in the matter and laughing he pulled her in for another kiss before nodding his agreement. Road squealed and pecked him on the cheek, "You're sweet Allen! Sweeter than candy!" she said, beaming at him.

Well, that's that. Luckily, I took a nasty fall from an attempt to ride my brother's bike and got scraped and battered and could think of nothing more wonderful than writing this chapter to lift my spirits and that's the reason for my early update (the fact that's it's a holiday helped too). Well, read, enjoy and don't forget to review! For once, the female protagonist of the chapter isn't going to try to kill me, so I may as well sit back and relax.

P.S: Thanks to Koneko Hoshi for her review and for the idea of a chapter dedicated to our redheaded Bookman bunny, Lavi.
