Author's Notes: This is the final drabble in the series since I think, based on last night's episode, that things are going to start looking brighter for Melinda and Jim…er Sam…um… Jim? Let's just hope for a happy ending to all of this confusion.

Delia still wears her engagement and wedding rings.

She can't bring herself to do the same.

"One breath, and then another," Delia tells her softly.

She sits outside on their bench, alone.

"It won't get easier, not for a long time."

She slips his ring off her finger.

"You'll hate the world for taking him away from you."

The silver chain belonged to her grandmother.

"You'll hate him for leaving you."

Together, their wedding rings rest cold on her breastbone, a constant reminder of what she has lost.

"But you'll always love him."

She's still his.

"That will never change."
