I really wanted to get this chapter out last week, but the weather prevented me from doing so. Darn weather doesn't go the way I want to! *Sigh*, well what are you gonna do? Anyways I don't own Swat Kats in any way. They belong to Hanna-Barbera. I only own my OCs.

Date: March 9, 2012 3:00 p.m.

Location: High School.

You know for someone like me who gets mistreated most of her life, some would think I call it quits by then. At this point I probably would have if not for Will and two others who keep me on the right path.

Anyways, just as I closed my locker I hear a familiar voice that comes my way at neck break speed.

"Amber-Amber-Amber-Amber-Amber-Amber-Amber!"

"Hmm? Oof!" I cried while crashing into my locker. "What the-Diane get off me!"

"Sorry-sorry-sorry," she replied as she backed off. "It's-just-that-I-have-something-important-to-tell-you-and-I-couldn't-wait-anylonger!"

Okay…maybe I should explain about Diane a little bit. She is two years younger than me, putting her at 17, has sunset orange hair that goes a few inches past her shoulders and dark blue eyes that are always so full of energy. The reason for her sudden fast speech is because of an energy burst. These can cause her to talk really fast for who knows how long until the energy runs out. It can get annoying at first but after a few times you get used to it.

"Well what was so important to tell that you had to crash into me?"

"Okay-you-see-…oh-wait-a-minute!" she goes past me to pounce on another poor victim. "Hi-Cry-cry!"

"Ugh…Diane how many times have I told you not to call me Cry-cry?"

"Oh-c'mon-calling-you-Cry-cry-is-cute!"

"It's very annoying."

"I don't know Crystal, calling you by that nickname is kind of cute," I tell her as I walk up to my fallen friends.

"Don't even think about it Amber."

Crystal is the youngest of our trio, putting her at 16, with blonde hair that reaches halfway down her back and lavender eyes that could calm anyone down. She is basically the one who tries to keep Diane's childish attitude under control when it gets out of hand. Some days go alright for her, while others don't in that situation.

"So again, what was so important to tell that you had to pounce on me and Crystal," I ask while we walked to the school's entrance.

"Oh-right! I-wanted-to-invite-you-both-over-to-my-house-for-a-Swat-Kat-party-tonight!" Diane replied happily.

"Another party?" questioned Crystal. "Didn't you already have a party like a week ago? Why come up with another one now?"

"Because-Amber-needs-a-night-off-from-those-so-called-stepparents-of-hers. A-party-is-just-the-thing!"

"I don't know about this Diane. They almost caught me the last time I went out."

"Oh-c'mon-it'll-be-fun. Please-please-please-please-please-please-please-please!" she begged while giving me the pouting face.

"Okay I'll go, just stop with that look!"

"Thank-you-thank-you-thank-you-thank-you-thank-you-thank-you!" she squealed as she gave me a bone crushing hug.

"Okay hyper girl, give Amber some air," Crystal said as she pulled Diane off me. "Let's head over to your place to plan this out."

"You're-gonna-help-me? But-I-wanna-plan-this-by-myself."

"And let you come up with another crazy plan like you did a few parties ago? Yeah….I don't think so."

"Okay-…well-let's-go!" Diane replies while grabbing Crystal's arm and yanking her outside the school, to the direction of her house. "Oh! Amber-don't-forget-to-tell-Will-he's-invited-to-come-if-he-is-interested! We'll-see-you-two-at-seven-bye!"

"Ow! Diane! There's no need to yank my arm while we're running you know. You're going to dislocate it at this rate. Are you even listening to me? Diane!"

Those two will never get old, I thought while beginning the long trek home.

When I entered the front gates I noticed that Nathan's car wasn't in the drive way like it always is. Wonder where he went off to? Oh well. I went inside to see Will on the couch watching TV. And no yelling Maggie in site.

"Hey Will, where are Nathan and Maggie?"

"Oh, hi sis. Apparently Nathan got a call about some job promotion and left in a hurry to take care of it."

"But why would Maggie go with?"

Will scoffed. "To see how much money came with it of course."

Of course, Maggie is always hoping how much money comes with Nathan's job. She uses the majority of it to buy spoils for themselves. Or…get new punishment items to use on me or Will. I'm really not looking forward to what they get this time.

"So how long are they going to be gone this time?" I ask as I sat down beside him.

"They won't be back till Monday," he replied with a smile.

"Wait…that means-."

"We got the whole weekend to ourselves sis."

"That'll work great, cause Diane is having a Swat Kat party tonight and wants us both to come. Sound good to you?"

Will drops his smile and I swear for just a second he pales a bit. "You go, I'll stay here tonight."

"Stay here why? You like hanging out with my friends' right?"

"I do, it's just that I don't want to be in another awkward situation with Diane again," he replied while blushing in embarrassment.

An awkward situation with Diane? What is he talking-oh! The time while she drank that….and had an energy…..oh boy. I better not mention that.

….

….

….

This is getting awkward. Let's go to the final scene of this chapter shall we?

"Are you sure you don't want to come?" I ask Will one last time.

"I'm sure. You go in and have fun with your girlfriends."

"But it won't be that much fun without you."

"Everything will be fine now just go already," he says while he pushes me away from the car.

"Alright, but you don't know what you're missing."

"Oh I'm pretty sure I know." With that he backs the car up and heads towards home.

I shake my head in amusement at Will's regular attempt to get out of things and enter Diane's house. …Only to get pounced upon yet again.

"Where have you been?" Diane asked as she gripped my blue tank top straps. "You took so long that I was starting to get worried."

"Actually, you were about to go into hysterics with just waiting," Crystal replies as she leans over the couch.

Diane immediately gets off me and grabs Crystal's oversized t-shirt collar. "I wasn't about to go into hysterics. You were just seeing things."

"Yes you were," Crystal says.

"No I wasn't," Diane replies.

"Yes you were."

"No I wasn't."

"Yes you were."

"No I wasn't."

"Yes you were."

"No I wasn't."

….Did I mention that these two get into small spats every once in a while? …I didn't? Well…now you know.

Anyways, after I broke it up, as usual, we started things off by watching the entire Swat Kats series. Everything went as normal until Feral came on. As soon as he did Diane got a dreamy look in her eyes and sighed contently. When Crystal and I noticed it took all our control to not laugh out loud. It wasn't long until Diane heard us.

"What's so funny?" she asked after breaking from her trance.

"Oh it's nothing," I replied between snickers.

"It's just that you're going gaga over Feral again," Crystal laughed.

Diane turned her head in a huff. "At least I'm not the only one who has a crush on a Swat Kat character."

I looked at her in confusion. "What do you mean?"

She turned to me with a smirk. "I mean that you have a crush on a certain cinnamon-colored tom cat."

I turned away in embarrassment. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Really? Then why are you holding your Razor plush so protectively."

As my face started to heat up, I suddenly found the tie strings on my grey sweatpants very interesting. Crystal then decided to come to my rescue.

"At least her crush on Jake is tamer than yours on Feral Diane."

"As if. My crush on him is as normal as it could be."

I highly doubt that it can be defined as normal. Seriously Diane is a major fan girl of Feral. Almost everything she owns has his face on it. Heck, she's even wearing his off-duty clothes right now. All that's left is to cut her hair, dye it black, put yellow contacts in and she would look like a human female version of Feral! …Um, better not mention that to her. She will actually do that.

"Besides, I'm sure he'll fall for me right on the spot as soon as I love him up a little," Diane said with glee in her voice.

Crystal snorted. "He'll probably get a restraining order to keep you away from him."

"No he won't. He'll date me right on the spot," Diane glared.

"Yes he will. Feral will think you're an absolute freak," Crystal replied.

"No he won't."

"Yes he will."

"No he won't."

"Yes he will."

"No he won't!"

"Yes he will!"

I face palmed. Here we go again.

A/N: Well here you go, chapter 3 is finally up. As you've probably noticed I decided to get away from the abuse for a little bit. I wanted to show that Amber has another form of comfort besides Will. And that she has a semi-normal life through Crystal and Diane. But a few comforts in life don't last for too long. Oh! Just to let you guys know that there is one more chapter before the Kats come in full time...but I have no idea when it will be up. So keep an eye out.

Enjoy and don't forget to leave a review.
