I found room 1002; it was on the left in front of my door, which was the last room at the end of the hall. A door with a green neon exit sign above it was across from room 1002. I used the code on the keypad beside room 1002 and heard the door click open.
I turned the knob, finding that the room was filled with almost full darkness, except for one single flickering dim light above something… or someone. I found the light switch beside me on the left wall and flicked it down, revealing someone standing beside their bed. I guess not everyone here is in a coma.
"Hello, can you tell me where I am, I woke up tied to one of the beds here." I said but I narrowed my eyes when no response was made.
Cautiously, I made my way over to find that the thing standing there was not a person, but a manikin with some kind of jacket locked onto it. What seemed just as strange was the lock that was on there, it was a circle lock with numbers on the outside and inside. When I pushed one button to change a number on the inside, another on the other side would change. I eventually cracked the code and the lock fell onto the floor with a hard bang. I took the jacket off of the body and found that strapped to the manikin was a hammer.
"Maybe I could use this?" I whispered, wondering why a hammer would be attached to a manikin in the first place. I glanced to my right to see a human shaped lump under the covers.
I thought I had seen enough, so I decided not to uncover what was underneath the covers. Instead I made it a good excuse to leave and try to find a way out to get Eve to safety. I shut the door behind me, not wanting to see the creepy and oddly placed manikin in the room and tried the knob on the door with the 'EXIT' sign above it; the door was locked. I went all around the areas I knew of, besides the rooms 1002, the one I had just opened, and 1003, the room with the woman in a coma. (A.N. Sorry, I messed that up in the last chapter, it was meant to be that the woman in a coma was meant to be in room 1003).
I looked around but found nothing I needed in the room. I went back to the nurse's desk, again finding no key or anything else needed. I walked back into the room I had woken up in and grabbed a bag that was in front of the bed, it contained a journal of which I had put in the hammer. I looked at the 'EXIT' door, nothing seemed to lessen the fact I couldn't get it open, it was solid. It was then that something caught my eye behind the fire extinguisher.
I took out the hammer from the bag that was slung over my shoulder and smashed the glass to get to the extinguisher. I picked off some stray bits of glass from the side of the case and placed the extinguisher on the ground beside the door. There, hanging on the hook that was behind the extinguisher, was a small shiny key.
"All of that time I spent looking and the key was here; I hope that I did waste too much time and that Eve is okay." I put the key in the lock and heard a click. I flung the door open to find the room was an office.
On the right side closest to me was a small round table and a curving lounge; the table was covered with needles, magazines and other things. On the far left corner there was an office desk with a computer and desk chair facing away from the door I had just entered through. But what had really caught my attention was a door on the far right. I ran over excitedly and gasped at the sight I saw behind the little square window with thin bars over it. There a car in a car park and a large gate; I had found my exit from this nightmarish place. But I noticed next to the door was a key pad with a blue light; damn it I needed to get Eve then find the right key card.
I walked over to the desk and grabbed the back pack that I found in the chair, swung it on my back and walked out of the room. I ran down the hallway to the door where Eve was taken down by the strange man and swiped the key card I had; I heard the door click open.
I saw Eve and the man sitting on the floor; Eve looked slightly tired and the man was alarmed when he saw me.
"Why don't you just leave before I make you regret it?" He said as he grabbed Eve by the wrist pulling her up as he walked down the small hallway.
"Let me go, I want my mummy!" Eve yelled and I started to run towards the two.
"Let her go! Give me back Eve!" I yelled and found that the man had taken Eve into a room with an exit door that looked like one from a cinema. It was really a game of cat and mouse now.
A.N. This was short but I haven't worked on it in a while and I need to go back to the game to remember what happened. I will try to update my stories more but here is a new update. Hope you guys like it.
