"Get down!" Felix said, he grabbed Alana by the arm and pulled her to the ground. She was out helping the boys get furniture for their shack in the forest.
"Why are we ducking?" Alana whispered.
"Police." Jake replied, Alana nodded slowly.
"Wait so you're running from the law now? Could you guys make me interested in you any more?" Alana said laughing.
"It's clear." Felix said, the five stood up and they collected the last bits into the shopping trolley. Alana tried to lift something heavy, today she wore a short flowery dress and plain converse shoes. Jake said she looked pretty. She struggled with the object as her weak arms lifted the object. Jake ran to her side and picked it up from her arms.
"Sorry..." She apologized, she felt guilty making him carrying it
"It's fine, you really don't need to help us, you just being here is fine." Jake said, he kind of liked her. Alana just smiled and Felix frowned. Andy began to push the trolley down the road, he was talking about something yet Alana wasn't listening. She just walked next to Felix, he looked a little sad and annoyed.
"It suits you," Alana said quietly.
"W-what?" Felix said in a rush, she jumped Felix from his thoughts.
"The talisman, it looks nice on you." Alana said smiling, Felix smiled back shyly at her as if he was saying thank you.
From afar Phoebe was watching them, from the things she saw yesterday, she wanted to see all the boys and what magic they held, especially Felix, she was also keeping a watch of Alana.
Back at the shack, Alana sat doodling while Jake and Andy were trying to get the gas and stove to work. It finally worked.
"Right who's up for food, I make a mean BLT." Jake said, they then realized they had no food and had to go shopping, yet, they had no money. Jake and Andy left, leaving Alana Sam and Felix.
"Poor hungry Sam." Felix said angrily, looking at him and crossing his arms
"I was gonna save some." Sam lied, looking innocent.
"I could go to my house and get some food?" Alana suggested.
"No we could get found out where we live." Felix said, Alana nodded in agreement.
Felix grabbed his bag and got up to go outside.
"Where are you going?" Alana asked.
"Just outside, you can come too." Felix suggested, Alana smiled and grabbed her drawing pad, the two walked down the path.
"I found this place a couple weeks ago when I needed a place to be alone." Felix said.
"I like being alone." Alana said, Felix nodded with a slight smile
"I heard that two people who like to be alone spend the best time with each other." Felix said, Alana smiled and they came up to a large pond.
"That's so weird, this is where I come when I bunk from school." Alana said sitting down on the grass. Felix sat next to her.
"Why do you bunk from school?" Felix asked.
"I get bullied a lot, by Ellen mostly and her friends. Other girls bully me too, they pull at my hair and rip up my drawings, they spray hair spray on me. Sometimes I don't ever go to school, my mum doesn't mind though, the school allows me to leave but... I just really hate going there that's why I'm here today." Alana confessed, but she's so beautiful and funny, how could they hate her? Felix thought.
"I kind of get how you feel, I'm really sorry by the way." Felix said trying to comfort her, Alana smiled again.
"It's fine. So what's that?" Alana asked pointing to the black notebook in Felix's hand.
"My book of shadows, like the one Phoebe has, I just write down spells and stuff." Felix explained, Alana nodded and got out her drawing pad, she showed him some sketches and the one of him and Oscar, they were finely and amazingly drawn.
"You're amazing, seriously." Felix said grinning, looking at every single little detail.
The two sat together, not talking just enjoying each other's presence. Felix was practicing spells and Alana was sketching trees. Alana watched and listened to Felix, just smiling they sat very close, he explained some pages to her.
"Lovely afternoon isn't it?" Suddenly Phoebe came out of the blue, Felix stood up instantly shutting his book of shadows, Alana stood up too.
"Why are you following us?" Felix asked.
"I see you got rid of the killer bees, and you're with my daughter." Phoebe noted, she didn't mind Alana being there but she liked to scare the boy, Phoebe asked him about his talisman and said it wasn't working. She said she should take it back.
"No that's fine." Felix stood back.
"What's the point of keeping it if it doesn't work?" Phoebe argued slightly.
"I'll make it work." Felix replied, he grabbed his things.
"I've got my eye on you. Also Alana don't stay out too late, I want you back before twelve. Got it?" Phoebe said, Alana nodded and followed Felix.
"I dont mean to seem rude but... Is your mum always that creepy?" Felix said not trying to sound offending. He turned round to see if Phoebe was watching, but she disappeared.
"Yep, I remember she would just watch me as a little girl, always standing outside the gate at my primary school. Its because have these weird power things, she was just paranoid and scared about me all the time." Alana replied.
"Powers?" Felix asked, stopping in his tracks, Alana nodded. Alana picked up a flower from the ground, she pulled all the petals off, she then concentrated on it, it then suddenly grew petals, Felix watched with wide eyes, fascinated by her.
"Amazing, can you do any more?" Felix asked, Alana nodded excitedly. She walked up to a tree, she touched it and it suddenly began to sprout more branches. Felix stood back and watched in awe.
"I've only mainly mastered earthly type powers with plants and stuff, I can do fire but... Let's just say the last time that happened my middle school was closed down for a very long time..." Alana said with guilt yet humor, Felix laughed and still couldn't believe what she just did. He got out his book of shadows and began to write things down about her. They continued to walk and eventually got back to the shack.
"Do you sing?" Alana asked Felix he nodded awkwardly, he didn't really like sharing it.
"I also like to write songs, they're not very good though." Felix said looking down.
"I'm sure you're amazing at both." Alana said, complimenting him, he smiled. Suddenly there was an uproar sound of crows, Sam and Andy suddenly ran in telling us Jake was arrested.
"I told you I should've just asked my mum for food." Alana said, they said something about trashing the school. Andy picked up a speaker and pulled out a bit from it, saying he could use it to try and erase the data from the security cameras.
"That sounds a bit dangerous, how would we get in?" Felix asked, suddenly Phoebe walked in.
"Mum!" Alana said excitedly with a smile.
"You needed help, I can get you into the police station." Phoebe said
"But what about the crows?" Sam asked, suddenly Andy pulled out popcorn packets.
"We can use these." Said Andy, the five got ready by the door.
"Go!" Shouted Felix, he swung open the door and throwing the popcorn kernels onto the floor then shutting the door again.
"Now run!" Felix said, all five flew out past the crows. They ran through the forest and then back onto the path.
"So why is creepy lady helping us?" Sam asked.
"I don't know." Felix replied, Alana looked at the two in anger.
"This creepy lady is my mum!" Alana said slightly offended, Sam ignored her but Felix looked at her for a second to say sorry.
"So what's the plan Phoebe?" Andy asked, she replied by saying they shouldn't talk and just let her talk, yet Andy pursued to argue with her. The crows came back and the group and quickened their pace. They got to the van and jumped in, the crows started to attack the van.
"Let's go." Alana said. Phoebe began to drive. The crows followed them but they got to the police station.
"Phoebe, Alana and three boys who are also in trouble." The policemen said, Jake was being escorted to a car.
"Um, officer, that's my nephew, I am their aunt, they need to be home for tea." Phoebe said, she faked and pretended she was his aunt.
"Yes, they are hungry and tired." Alana added. But the policemen took them all in. Once they were all in the policemen was going to showed them the clip of the boys vandalizing the school gym. Felix began to speak the spell and Andy pulled out the speaker dish to try and mess up the computer. All the boys began to smile at each other, the crows were not to be heard and the computer wouldn't show the clips. Alana nudged Felix in the arm gently as if to say 'well done.' Phoebe then looked at him and was impressed.
Eventually Phoebe got all boys in the van, the policeman came back out and tried to press charges again, but let them go.
"Why don't you all come back to mine for dinner." Phoebe suggested.
"Jake promised us dinner." Felix added and the rest agreed, Phoebe looked in the back seat and realized something.
"Hold on we're missing one..." Phoebe said and suddenly they could see Sam skateboarding down the street.
Later that night the boys had a warm home to sleep in finally and Sam returned with food from skate busking.
"Best meal ever." Sam said, all boys agreed, they had bacon sandwiches which Jake made as he promised. Once they finished everyone settled down to bed and they were just talking.
"Do you think our lives will go back to normal?" Andy asked.
"Maybe." Sam said looking around, he noticed Felix was hunched over writing in that small black notebook of his.
"On another note I think our little freak has a crush which we've all dismissed." Sam said, suddenly Felix looked up from writing in his book of shadows, not really listening to the conversation.
"What?" Felix asked, just entering the conversation with confusion.
"You and Alana." Andy added, Felix suddenly blushed and looked down.
"Look he's gone red!" Jake pointed out and chuckling as he ate.
"Yeah whatever." Felix said writing in his book again.
"He didn't deny it!" Sam shouted laughing. Felix did like her a lot, he was currently working on a song for her, it described the things he liked about her, he was also writing what happened with her today and her powers.
"Shut up..." Felix said getting embarrassed.
Meanwhile at Phoebe's house Alana was eating dinner with her mum
"You do realise what you got yourself into mum?" Alana asked her mum during dinner.
"Sadly yes." She said laughing slightly and continued to eat.
"I'm glad you are, it would mean I'd have to hide it from you." Alana admitted with a small smile.
"I'd find out anyway." Her mum said, raising her eyebrows.
