Dominique/OC

October 2017

"I love you. I love you. I love you." Fifteen-year-old Dominique Weasley said to the mirror in front of her, careful to stress a different word each time.

"Even Mère isn't that full of herself." She heard her seventeen-year-old sister say from the door way of her dorm room.

Dominique flushed embarrassed, but relaxed as her sister smiled at her reassuringly. "I don't want to look stupid. I may never get asked out again."

"Don't worry. I practiced too, the first time I went to Hogsmeade with a boy." Victoire said.

"You did?" Dominique asked nervously.

"Yes. I rehearsed and even made Teddy listen to me practice. He wasn't too pleased. Anyway, the boy didn't even say anything about love, and all I got was a quick peck on the cheek when he dropped me off afterwards. Of course, Teddy was looming near by at the time." Victoire confided.

Dominique laughed. Teddy and her sister had officially started dating soon after Victoire's seventeenth birthday. The family figured that he had been in love with her for a few years, but waited until Victoire was of age before he made his move.

"Anyway, I came to lend you my pearl necklace." Victoire said pulling a necklace out of her pocket.

"Really?" Dominique asked then giggled as her sister fastened it around her neck.

"Don't be nervous. He wouldn't have asked you to go to Hogsmeade with him if he didn't already like you." Victoire reassured her with a hug.

"Thanks." Dominique smiled at her big sister. "Victoire, how did you know you loved Teddy?"

"Teddy has seen me at my absolute worst and he still loves me and wants to be around me." She responded with a wistful smile. "Well, I better go get my jacket. Teddy said he would meet me at the Hogshead." Victoire rushed happily out of the room.

Dominique laughed as she watched her sister practically skip out of the room.

Dominique turned back to her mirror and studied her reflection one last time.

"I love you." She said to the mirror one more time before heading to meet her date in the common room. She would rather be safe then make a fool of herself any day.
