Dragonball Ryoga
!SPECIAL EFFECTS! "THOUGHTS"
Chapter Three
"When I bring you to Doctor Gero, I'll be able to retire!" Dodoria announced with his hands out ready to take hold of him.
"I don't know why you're acting like this. If it's a fight you want, just bring it," Ryoga said, making come-hither gestures.
"You impudent freak. You sure have got a lot of nerve talking to me that way when I can so easily destroy you."
"Ever since this Doctor Gero tortured me with his experiment, I've gained more than a lot of nerve. I've gained skill, speed, strength, and toughness, a whole lot more than what you got, tubbo," Ryoga replied as he got in a modified tae kwon do stance.
"How dare you?! There's more money for bringing you in alive than dead, but I'll simply have to take the lesser payment."
As the two faced off, Dodoria yelled and flew straight for his opponent who did likewise. In less than seconds, they smashed into each other, punching, kicking, blocking, and counter-attacking to the point that fists and feet moved faster than the eye could follow.
"Aaaaah!" Dodoria screamed, fire coming out of his mouth and engulfing his opponent as it knocked him back several feet.
"Aaarghh!" Ryoga screamed as the burst of energy sent him backward several feet.
Upon executing an acrobatic flip, Ryoga got to his feet and in another stance where his knees were bent in a crouch. Then his feet moved forward and back in a swiftly smooth motion, gliding several inches on the ground while his fists were just above his knees. Every part of Ryoga's body was on alert and ready to go as he regarded his opponent.
"So you're tougher than I thought! Try this on for size!" Dodoria moved in on Ryoga with so much speed that belied his corpulent size, practically gliding on the ground as he slammed into the agile avian with his large, round, stomach, knocking him back several more feet.
"Ungh! You really know how to shift your weight around, don't you? All right. Take this!" To the surprise of the globe-shaped man, Ryoga came at him at superhuman speed, nailing him with rapid-fire kicks in a circular, helicopter-like fashion.
"Wo wo wo wo woah!" the larger-than-life warrior screamed upon being smashed into the air and coming crashing down with a huge thud.
"Yeow! There was no information about you being able to kick like that! Bah, no matter. I'll still kick your feathered ass!"
"No, you won't. I've already taken your measure," Ryoga answered.
"Yeah?! What about it?"
"I'm the one who's going to beat you. Here, this is for you!" Faster than the untrained eye could follow, Ryoga sped over towards Dodoria and struck his huge gut with a roundhouse punch that knocked the warrior off his feet, into the sky and crashing to the ground once again.
"Oof! Now you're gonna get it!" Dodoria threatened as he got to his feet and glared at his opponent.
As if on cue, the avian warrior shot into the corpulent man's stomach fists first, pounding the larger man's huge gut hundreds of times more. Then Ryoga attacked with a somersault kick, striking his opponent in his larger than life blubber and knocking him several feet into the sky. However, Dodoria wasn't out of the fight yet!
"Why you?! Here it comes!" Dodoria snapped in retort as he bounced off the ground and landed on his feet. Without taking more than a few seconds, Dodoria quickly put his hands together and shoved them in his opponent's direction, causing his opponent to be hit with electricity and knocked backward. Then he sped his massive bulk towards Ryoga striking him hundreds of times, knocking his head to the left and the right.
"Ungh!" "This guy moves fast for someone so huge! I can't afford to underestimate him."
However, before Ryoga could do anything else. "Aaaaaaah!" Dodoria announced as his pink corpulent body glowed red. Then he proceeded to hit his opponent in an auto-fire fashion with countless punches and kicks. Then Dodoria knocked Ryoga into the air, putting his hands upwards, blasting Ryoga with a wide-angled energy blast that sent the avian higher into the sky.
"Yaaarrgghh! It's not over yet!" Before the winged warrior came crashing into the ground, he used his flight abilities along with his acrobatics to right himself as he gently touched down.
"Take this!" he yelled as he zipped over to his opponent, hitting him countless times with punch and kick combinations, knocking the bigger man back several feet.
"This guy's really fast! Time to get serious!" "Aaaah!" Dodoria announced as he rocked his head and let a huge coned-shaped flame come out of his mouth, prompting the target to glide backward, rolling with the blow. Then Ryoga clapped his hands together and pushed his hands forward, dissipating the fiery attack.
"My turn!" Ryoga abruptly grabbed his opponent and spun him around at super speed, throwing him straight up into the air.
"OK, go!" Ryoga yelled as he shot up into the sky, nailing his already airborne opponent fists first and striking him with hundreds of punches and kicks all over his body until Dodoria came crashing down to the ground in a world of unconscious.
"That was a great fight!" the half-naked warrior announced, his massive chest expanding with his every breath. Then he regarded the downed form of his opponent.
"If everyone in this universe is going to be this powerful, then it's a good thing that Master Fong Yu trained me as well as he did."
"That was a great fight!" Ryoga heard from several feet behind him.
Upon turning around on his heels smoothly, doing an about face, Ryoga noticed a five foot eight inch tall, 140 pound, attractive young woman with wavy, fiery red hair that went a few inches below her shoulders, standing there with a microphone and a video recorder in her hands. She was a shapely young lady wearing tight shorts and a tank top that flattered her figure, showing her moderately muscular abdominal muscles and clinging to her busty, 38-26-37 inch physique due to the summer heat.
"Hello, Miss. I'm at a loss as to who you are."
"I'm Ranko Saotome of the Asahi Shinbun newspaper. I thought my boss, Hideki Shiro had sent me here on a wild goose chase, but it looks like I'm going to get a good story after all. Are you planning on becoming the next Ultimate Tenkaichi champion, Mr…?"
"My name is Ryoga Fong Yu." After Gero's brutal experiment Ryoga had forgotten his last name so he decided to take the name of the last man who had trained him. However, at the same time his inability to keep himself from getting lost also disappeared.
"Fong Yu? Where have I heard that name from before?" Ranko thought as looked up at the strapping young man.
"Wait, did you say your name was Saotome? Where did you get that name?" the young man said with eyebrows raised in surprise as he regarded the girl's impressive, burgeoning bust-line that strained against her stretched tube top.
"That's the name I got from my family," Ranko answered with a little bit of suspicion and the narrowing of her eyes in Ryoga's direction.
"Do you have a brother named Ranma?"
"No. I don't have any brothers or sisters. My parents have passed away a long time ago. What made you think I had a brother?"
"Your family name was familiar to me," Ryoga answered as he took a more pronounced look at the girl who had a resemblance to the Ranma he had known. After regarding Ranko for a moment, he subconsciously zeroed in on her impressive bosom, abs, hips, and legs, noticing how fit she was. Her hard body was not only beautiful it was the body of a competent martial artist.
"See something you like? My eyes are up here, Ryoga," Ranko stated with a frown, embarrassing the young fighter.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Ryoga answered, putting his hand behind his head and looking askance to his right. He had tried to take another look down at the buxom cleavage of the sexy reporter without being noticed and had failed miserably.
"This guy is interesting. So is the fat guy he just beat up. I'm going to have to look into spending more time covering the Ultimate Tenkaichi Tournament. Just getting to look at this guy is worth it. His chest and abs are to die for!"
"So are you planning on getting in the upcoming tournament or not?"
"Huh? Oh, that. I don't know how to participate in the upcoming tournament, but I do intend to take on other fighters."
"Are you from the family of the Fong Yus the Red Ribbon Army had wiped out?"
"Um, Yes. Well, it's been nice talking to you, Miss Saotome, but I have places to go and people to see," Ryoga answered as he withdrew from her.
"Where are you going?" the reporter asked.
"I'm planning on registering officially for the tournament."
"You mean you haven't done that already?"
"No, I haven't. I still need to do that, the fight with this guy notwithstanding," Ryoga answered.
"Now, if you'll excuse me."
"I might get a great scoop by getting a more in-depth interview with this guy who's about to embark on a thrilling career. In addition to that, he's very easy on the eyes. I'm not letting him go."
Ranko's mouth crinkled into a smile as she ogled the half-naked warrior.
"Since I'm an investigative reporter, I can help you find the people you're looking for," Ranko said with a smile.
"Well."
"Do you know where to look?"
"No, I guess not. All right. Where do we search?" the young man asked in resignation.
"I'm going back to North City. Why don't you come along with me? When we get there, I can tell you who to talk to about getting involved in the tournament."
"I really don't care to spend money on a plane ticket, when I could just fly there myself."
"Fly there yourself? Do you have the endurance to fly that far?" Ranko asked incredulously.
"Yes, I do."
"Anyway, I have access to a private plane owned by my company, Asahi Shinbun. There's plenty of room, so I'm sure the pilot won't mind. You can tell me more about yourself on the way," Ranko said with a smile and a subtle shift of her prominent cleavage in Ryoga's direction.
"Um, all right, Miss Saotome. We'll do it your way."
"No need to be so formal. Call me Ranko. Let's go."
"How can she be comfortable wearing that clingy outfit? It's practically painted on her," Ryoga thought to himself as he followed the reporter.
Then Ranko turned around. "Not that I'm complaining too much, but why did you take your clothes off before the fight?"
"The fights I'm planning on getting into will surely rip my clothes to shreds. So it's better for me not to bother wearing too much while I fight. In addition to that, what I'm wearing now adapts to my toughness. But if that's a problem…" Ryoga spun around at super speed, making a different set of clothes appear while folding his wings inward. In addition to that, Ryoga's huge backpack appeared on his broad shoulders.
"Wow! That was impressive! How did you manage to change your clothes so fast?!" Ranko asked with a look of shock on her face.
"Just a little something I picked up during my training."
In the shadows hid a tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed man with a handsome appearance with a muscular build. He wore a brown shirt, a red tie, an officer's cap, blue horse-riding trousers, and jackboots. In addition to all this, he had an eerie presence about him.
"Gero's paying a lot of money for that winged barbarian, but I don't know how I'm going to get him when he's surrounded by so many pesky reporters. No matter. I'll think of something. Watch out, Fong Yu. You're now the prey of Blue Yamazaki!"

On the plane which flew to its destination, Ryoga asked his host a few questions.
"It seems to me that you're a martial artist yourself, Ranko. Is that why you've decided to cover the Ultimate Tenkaichi circuit?"
"Well, yes, something like that. I've been training in several martial arts styles for years, ultimately creating the best style for myself."
"How has that worked out?"
"It's worked out OK. As it is, I work out and train the way I want and use various techniques as are needed," Ranko answered somberly.
"Oh, I see."
"This lady reminds more and more of Ranma as I talk to her, but I won't hold that against her," Ryoga thought as he regarded the girl.
"Anyway, I can see I'm boring you with my life story. So how did you get so big and strong with a pair of wings?" Ranko asked giving Ryoga another once over.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"Try me," Ranko responded.
"A guy named Doctor Gero and a friend of his used me for an experiment," Ryoga answered with a straight face.
"Oh, really?!" Ranko gasped, scooting closer to him.
"That's right. They wanted to use me as a guinea pig, so Doctor Gero could become stronger," Ryoga answered calmly.
"That's going to be my story. There's no way Ranko's going to believe I'm from another universe where I fought her male doppelganger."
"That's very interesting. You know what?"
"What?"
I've noticed that Doctor Gero is bigger and more vital looking, but what happened to his hair? He had a huge head of hair and now it's gone. What did they do, juice you up on steroids that destroyed his hair?" Ranko asked with raised eyebrows.
"Something like that. From what I remember he was totally bald at the end of the experiment. He must have decided to live with being bald."
"Then why do you have a huge head of beautiful hair while Doctor Gero is totally hairless?" Ranko said with unconcealed admiration for the crown of hair of the man she was interviewing.
"I don't know, karma?"
"Hmm. Have you been a martial artist all of your life or has your training been more recent?" the buxom reporter asked, breathing audibly.
"Well," Ryoga answered, looking downward.
Ranko then moved in on her interview subject and gently touched his chin, drawing it upwards. "My eyes are up here, sweetie."
"Oh, yeah. Anyway, I've trained in my family's fighting styles which included aikido along with boxing and wrestling. My skills weren't horribly impressive, and I wasn't as physically powerful as I am now. But after what I've gone through, I trained extremely hard in my family's Fong Yu tae kwon do, hwang do, and hsing-I styles."
"Those last three sound like Korean martial arts. Are you part Korean as well?" Ranko replied.
"Yes, that's correct. It was my Korean great-grandfather who furthered my training right after Gero experimented on me."
While Ranko listened to him, Ryoga looked downward regarding her impressive bosom that threatened to come out of her top.
"What are you staring at? Didn't anybody teach you any manners?" Ranko demanded as a frown appeared on her face.
"Sorry, it's just that you're too cute for words."
"Oh," Ranko said with a blush as the plane made its way to its destination.
"Gee, how did I get so smooth with the ladies? All the training I've gotten has obviously increased my confidence."

Upon exiting the plane and making their way into the Asahi Shinbun building, Ryoga and Ranko walked into the main newsroom of the building to the stares of almost everyone there. By this time, Ryoga was wearing a sleeveless black T-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black boots which did nothing to conceal his powerfully built physique.
"Here's the phone number for a contact of mine who can help you get into
the Ultimate Tenkaichi Tournament," Ranko said, handing Ryoga the piece of paper.
Ranko had also acquired professional attire, having changed on the plane into dress white shirt, black skirt, and shoes.
"Thank you, Miss Saotome."
"Call me Ranko," the reporter said with a smile and a batting of her eyelashes.
"Thanks, Ranko. I'm going to talk to this guy and get into the tournament as soon as possible. Thank you for all of your help," Ryoga said.
"You can show your gratitude to me by giving me an interview after your first official bout. Getting the scoop on that would mean a lot to me."
"Sure, Ranko. I'll see you later." As Ryoga turned around and left, many of the women in the office watched the young man on his way out, sighing.
"Who was the hunk, Ranko?" Neko Torimitsu asked with enthusiasm. She was an attractive young woman in her twenties with nice legs and long, flowing hair.
"That was Ryoga Fong Yu. He's planning on becoming a professional fighter."
"I hope nothing happens to that pretty body of his. Meow!"
"Just because your name is Neko, it doesn't mean you have to sound like a cat," Ranko replied, rolling her eyes.
"Spare me your judgments, Ranko. It's not as if you weren't turned on by that man like the rest of us were."
"I found him attractive, but there's something called class."
"You think you have class?" Neko said in retort. "Anyway, I just couldn't take my eyes off of him."
"I couldn't take my eyes off of that Ryoga guy either," said Chiko Tanaka, a rather young reporter with short brown hair and a slight build.
"I'd like to have a midsummer's night dream with him myself!" another reporter chimed in.
"Will you guys calm yourselves down? Anyway, the contact I gave to him promised me to inform me when he gets involved in his preliminary fight. When that happens, I'll get a great story for sure!" Ranko announced practically jumping for joy.

At what seemed like an abandoned warehouse a few miles from North City, Ryoga walked up to the hard, wooden door and pounded on it.
"What? Who's there?"
"It's me, Ryoga Fong Yu!"
"You're here already?" a voice called out from inside.
"Yes! I'm in a hurry to get started," Ryoga answered.
"All right! Hold your horses!"
When the door opened, a medium sized man with coke bottle glasses and short hair became evident. Dressed in a business tie, dress shirt, and brown slacks, he looked like a cross between a nerd and an accountant to Ryoga as he let him inside and directed him to a seat at a large table.
"You're Arthur Proctor?" Ryoga asked.
"Yes, you must be the up and coming fighter Ranko told me about. Are you as tough as you look?"
"I'm tougher."
"I see. Well, you're in luck, Ryoga. One of the fighters chickened out, so now I need a replacement."
"I'm ready, anytime, anyplace," the powerful, young man answered stoically.
"The fight goes on tonight at six o'clock tonight, so don't be late."
"I'll be there. What are the rules?"
Arthur gave Ryoga a cold, hard look for a moment. "There are no rules except you can't use a gun, rifle, or anything like that. This is a martial arts fight after all. And it's only a preliminary to the Ultimate Tenkaichi Tournament. So if you lose here you won't even make it to the tournament."
Ryoga nodded his head. "I won't let you down, Mr. Proctor."
"Good. All you have to do is show up. Now get out of here!"
Ryoga left with a spring in his step. "This fight will prove to everyone how great my fighting skills really are!"
"That guy will probably get himself a trip to the hospital, but hopefully, he'll put up a good fight," Arthur said to no one in particular.
"That was interesting, Artie," a voice called out from the shadows.
"What? Who's there!"
Before Arthur saw anything else in the shadows, he saw a cold, ruthless smile. Then he recognized, "Blue Yamazaki! What are you doing here? You want to get involved in the Ultimate Tenkaichi circuit?"
"As a matter of fact, I do, but only for one night."
"Which night would that be?"
"Tonight at six."
"But there already is..."
"I'm going to fight that Barbarian who just left here, or I can fight you right now!"
Arthur Proctor trembled for a moment. "All right, all right. Have it your way."
"I always have things my way!"
