Chapter 3: Fairy Tail

Stargazers got to their room and all collapsed on the two beds in the rooms. Today was Wednesday and they didn't perform until Saturday. After a few hours Lucy was the first one to wake up. She looked at the clock and groaned as it was only 7 o'clock at night. 'I only slept 5 hours,' she thought as she made her way to the bathroom to shower. She entered the bathroom, turned on the water, and stepped in the shower. She stood there for a couple of minutes just letting the water hit her skin and relax her muscles. As she was finishing her shower she thought about the meeting earlier with Sabertooth. She laughed as she recalled the look on their faces when she was saying her sarcastic comments. 'Maybe I should apologize, I was being a little rude,' she thought as she got out of the shower.

She went into the room to see that her friends were up and moving around. She went and grabbed her bag and reentered the bathroom. She pulled out a pair of ripped light-washed blue jeans, a red flannel, and a Nirvana muscle shirt. She dried her hair and put in another messy bun since she wasn't going anywhere important. She came out of the bathroom and laced up her dark red Dr. Martens. She grabbed her acoustic guitar, notepad, and a pencil. She didn't have to tell her friends where she was going since they already knew.

"Be back in a couple of hours," Lucy hollered as she left the room grabbing a handful of bracelets. Everyday around this time, she would go find a quiet, open field and write songs while looking at the sky. The field would have to be open so her mother could see her daughter do what she loves. She didn't like anyone watching her while she did this because it was personal and she didn't want people see her so vulnerable.

As she was putting on her bracelets she saw all the scars on her arm and smile, not because they were there, but because it reminded her of how much her friends care for her and got her to stop. She didn't mind the scars on her arms because it was a part of her past. She learned to ignore the comments she heard while walking down the street. While she was in the middle of putting her bracelets on, she wasn't looking where she was going and accidently bumped into someone. She looked up see a pink haired man staring down at her.

"Sorry," she said as she tried to get past the man, but he just stepped back in front of her. She looked at him and gave him a puzzled look while she tried to go the other way, but he moved again. The pink haired man just looked down at her looking at her big brown eyes. He held his hand out for her to shake it.

"No it's fine, I should be careful next time. I'm Natsu, Natsu Dragneel," The pink haired man said. Lucy looked at him and then at his hand. She shuffled her notebook to one side and shook his hand. When she reached he noticed her scars on her wrist and wondered how she got them because she did not look like someone who should do that.

"Lucy, Lucy Heartfilia," Lucy said as she shook his hand. As she shook his hand all her papers with her songs fell out along with a picture of her mother. "Ah, damn," she sighed as she crouched down to pick them up. Natsu followed suit and helped her pick up her songs. He began to read one but was soon stopped as she ripped it out of his hands.

"You write songs?" He asked as they stood up.

"Is that so hard to believe?" She replied slightly offended by his question. She adjusted the strap on her guitar and securely held her songs thinking that they would fall out again.

"No, that's not what I meant," he recovered shaking his head. "What I meant was, was that if you're in a singer since you have that guitar with you and everything." He scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Oh, yeah I'm the lead singer in my band. We're in the festival this year." She replied not sensing his nervous movements.

"Oh cool which one are you in. I happen to be in one myself too," he replied confidently. She managed to suppress her laugh and smile a little.

"My bands name is Stargazers; it's just me and my friends. What yours?" She asked. He looked familiar to her, but she couldn't place her finger on where she saw him before.

"I'm in Fairy Tail," he replied. Natsu was a little confused since he hasn't met anyone who hasn't heard of his band before. Lucy then nodded remembering where she had seen this man.

"Oh cool, my friend listens to your music all the time," she slightly chuckled.

"You don't?" He questioned. He acted to be offended as a joke.

"Nah, I really only play and write it. I rarely listen to it," she replied kindly. "I'm sorry but I have to go, it was nice meeting you."

"When do you play, I'd like to come and watch," he asked before she left. She turned and put on a fake smile.

"Saturday," she said then ran off.

"Okay, see you Saturday Lucy," Natsu said silently.

As Lucy ran down the stairs, she didn't know that a certain blonde haired guy was following her out the door and to the open field. He didn't know why he did it, but he just did. There was something about her that made him want to know more. Maybe it was how they met, or maybe it was just her beauty, he couldn't decide on which it was. He watched as she sat down in the field opened her case and flipped in her notebook to a certain page.
