Chapter 3

Kyoko walked silently over to her bed and say down, a large goofy smile plastered on her face. The conversation between her and Ryuji was unexpected and a bit nerve wracking, but in the end, it was very enjoyable. She had always found it hard to make friends so it was a surprised that they had hit it off so well. She had never really connected with anyone so quickly, especially a male, but something was different about him. Although he had a rough exterior and an unapproachable appearance, he wasn't a bad guy and she didn't feel intimidated around him at all.

She laid back against her bed frame and stared at her cell phone that was clutched in her hand, remembering that she had actually managed to ask him for his number. Normally she was more timid and shy, especially when talking to a boy, but had somehow managed to break out of her shell for a slight second without even realizing it. She looked at his contact information awkwardly, not wanting to text him right away and seem stalker-ish, but at the same time, she couldn't wait to text him and even if she were to text him, what would she say? She had promised to text him upon receiving his number, but now, as she thought about texting him, she got nervous to the point she couldn't even bare looking at her phone. She placed the phone down beside her on the bed and covered her face with her hands, feeling the heat from her cheeks under her palm. With a loud sigh, she picked up her phone and began to type.

I really enjoyed our talk earlier! You are so cool. Let's be friends!

She looked at her phone in horror, quickly deleting the message then placing her hands over her face once again to hide her embarrassment. She had never had friends that she was able to text until now and was having a difficult time trying to think of something to say to him that didn't seem creepy or desperate. She wanted to let him know that she enjoyed their conversation, but couldn't think of how to put it into words. It took for a good few minutes to finally come up with something. She picked up her phone and began to type once again.

Thanks for the talk earlier. See you in class tomorrow ^^

She hesitated for a moment, debating on whether to send the text or not and almost chickened out, but with one quick hand movement, she pressed send, watching as the message processed then was sent. She felt her heart flutter, then placed her cell phone on her chest and threw her head back. She had was relieved that she had managed to send him a text message after all, but hoped he didn't find it weird. She half expected not to receive a text back, but when her phone went off, she quickly grabbed it and flipped it open.

See ya.

She smiled at the words on the screen, then placed her phone on the table. She laid down in her bed and looked up at the ceiling. She was proud of herself for actually making a friend and was excited to head to class in the morning.

...

The alarm clock blared loudly, starling Kyoko awake. She sat up in her bed and placed a hand near her face, rubbing the sleep out of the corner of her eyes. She pulled the blankets back and slid out of bed and stood, stretching her body before making her way over the small closet in her room and pulled out a new uniform. Slowly, she slid out of her pajamas and pulled on the uniform, pulling the skirt up her thighs and buttoning the shirt over her large breasts. She slipped on her socks and made her way over to the mirror where she brushed her hair and examined herself in the mirror before running to rush her teeth. She threw her backpack over her shoulder and made her way out the door, excited to head to her first set of normal classes. Although she had attended the exorcist cram school, she hadn't started her normal classes until today due to a conflict with her time table.

She stepped out into the hallways, watching as the other girls in the dorm chatted amongst each other as they headed towards their classes. She would be lying if she said she didn't feel a bit left out, but knew it wouldn't be long until she made some friends of her own. With a confident expression, she began to make her way down the hallway, clutching her books to her chest. She wondered silently if Ryuji would be in her class, but she began to get nervous and decided not to think about it. It would only be a few moments until she found out anyways.

...

She reached the classroom before any of her other classmates or even her teacher so she silently took a seat at the back of the class and placed her books on top of the desk. After a moment, students began to enter the classroom one by one and with each student that entered, the more full the room became. Kyoko searched the sea of students, looking for Ryuji or even someone else she had seen in the cram school before hand, but found no one. She let out a sigh and rested her head in her palm. She was a bit disappointed that he wasn't in her class, but sighed and shrugged it off; besides, she knew she would see him at the cram school.
