THE ROGUE

Three days. It had been three days since Rogue woke from her "slumber". She had control over her skin, making many people proud of her but it still made her uneasy. What if her skin turned on without meaning to?

{You little baby. Grow up!}

Rogue had gotten use to Carol's bitchy ways. The woman always made sure Rogue's life was a living hell. She would always reason, saying that it was her fault that she was like this; Carol was just making it fair. Rogue didn't bother fighting her anymore, and let her rant about whatever the heck she wanted to.

~Why ya gotta be so mean? ~

{Oh I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that I'm being mean, am I bugging you? If so, then good! You killed me. I'm getting even.}

The brunette rolled her eyes. She was sick of dealing with Carol but she didn't let many people notice. Rogue was stronger than Carol, and she proved so when she saved everyone and killed Carol.

~What? Are you upset 'cause Ah killed cha? Good. Ah loved killin' ya in the first place. ~

Carol didn't reply for awhile.

Rogue stepped into the lunch room, noticing just how every eye landed on her. Was this what Logan felt like, in power? She glanced around the room once before she took her usual sit in the far corner where she could see everyone. She never noticed till…. "Roguey~!" it was Jubilee.

"What?" Rogue looked up from her food which she got from the lunch/dinner/breakfast ladies.

Jubilee stepped in front of her as she grinned. "Kitty and I are going out later for some fun. Wanna come?"

"Ah got—"

"Great! We'll pick ya up at 6!" Jubes grinned at her best friend. "See ya Roguey~!"

Rogue watched her friend skip off. She let out a soft sigh knowing that she could never trade Jubilee for anyone. She was a perfect friend.

[What about me, darlin'?]

~Logan? ~

[Glad ya remember me, darlin'.]

She was shocked to hear Logan's voice in her head. She hadn't thought of him since she seen the picture of "James Howlett". Was Logan this James person? She didn't think so.

[Are you going to answer me, Marie? Or are you too far gone to remember me?]

~Just leave me be! Ah moved on. You're gone! ~

He never did try again to talk to her.

~xXx~

Carol didn't control Rogue anymore. Rogue had pushed everyone within her head away. She had Logan in a box, in a closed room where she didn't need to go. She however heard howls of pain come from Logan's closet, which scared her to no end.

Rogue didn't get scared.

The brunette pushed her fears away like she did with Magneto and Carol. The two were put into boxes and into their own closets. She was in full control of her powers now, though her eyes never did change back to brown…..

It didn't matter however. The Rogue went on. She was strong. She was on her own. She was everything everyone wanted to be. She was powerful.

Rogue wasn't Marie.

Rogue's Point of View

My class was going wonderfully, as Carol didn't bug me anymore. I could be a normal person, with many voices in her head. I had asked for everyone to write a fun fact they learned this year as it was coming to be Christmas break. I looked forward to the chance to act a little more normal.

However, Jubes was coming over and saying I need to go out tonight.

{Who'd want to hang out with you? You're just a bitch.}

~ Oh shut up Carol! Ah don' need ta listen ta you! ~ I grumbled at the thought of dealing with Carol all night. The woman wouldn't shut up, even if for a little while she did. She always broke loss from her closet. ~Just go back into ya'r closet! ~

However, the bitch thought it'd be cool to keep messing with me till….

[You better get in your closet, bub. I don' think Marie wants ta see ya.]

There stood in my mind of doors was the Wolverine. He stood tall, like how I remembered him. His eyes were more golden as he was the Wolverine and not my Logan. What did I just call him!? My Logan? Uh he never belonged to me!

So there he stood, just like the alpha male that he was, and he growled at Carol. I could tell he turned her on, which made me sick to my stomach, and then she hurried away. I was left in shock. Then, the great badass Wolverine came over towards me. [You okay kid?]

~ 'Course Ah am, Ah gotta be. ~

He growled again in my mind. [You don't have to be okay, Kid. You can always talk to me. I'm always gonna be here for you Marie.]

He used my old name.

~ Ah'm not Marie anymore. Ah'm the Rogue. ~

It sounded right, and the Wolverine looked pissed. [Dammit, stop acting like a child.]

I laughed in his face. I was the only one who dare sass the Wolverine. And when he's pissed… ~ Ah aren' no kid, Wolfie. Ah grew up and ya left meh. ~

His mouth fell open a little, and damn he looked so cute but I stayed strong. [I never left ya kid. I just couldn't stay there with the memories.]

~ Ah'm a memory Logan. Ya left meh. ~

And with that, I pushed him aside, no matter how pissed he got, and went to start getting ready for tonight. It was going to be fun, no matter what.

Up Next: Rogue, Kitty and Jubilee head to the bar for some fun. Rogue gets some memories from the Wolverine, and not all of them are pretty.
