Hello, everyone! I just want to thank everyone who favorited and followed. It really is so awesome. I also want to say thank you to doctor712, who reviewed. Anyway, on with the story!

"Hello, I'm the - " The Doctor stopped short of his introduction as his mind processed what Clara had said. He eyed Clara suspiciously. "What did you say?"

Clara swallowed thickly. If The Doctor remembered her, who knew what chaos would break out. "What do you mean? I didn't say anything," lied Clara.

Merry looked at Clara strangely, and whispered, "Why did you call him 'Doctor'? Is that man The Doctor? Why did you lie to him?"

Clara pulled her out of the Doctor's earshot. "To answer your first and second question, that is The Doctor. To answer your third, I lied because he isn't supposed to remember me," explained Clara.

Merry looked confused, shocked, and appalled. "What do you mean? He is not the Doctor! The Doctor wore a bowtie, had a rather, uh, noticeable chin, and green eyes! Not to mention his age!"

"Merry," said Clara. "The Doctor is an alien. He has this ability that lets him change his face when he dies. And he forgot me, because, well..." she couldn't continue.

"Clara, you must have a fake name so he can call you something," said Merry. Clara opened her mouth to answer, but stopped when the Doctor walked to them.

"Ladies! As I have said, or rather - " he paused, then whispered to Clara, "What's your name?"

"Jenna," replied Clara, saying the first name that came to mind.

"Ah. Well, let me start again." The Doctor cleared his throat. "As I said, or as young Jenna had not said, my name is The Doctor. Just, the Doctor."

Merry looked nervously at Clara, a look that clearly said, "How in Akhaten should I act?"

Clara, who wasn't nearly as good as Merry in communicating via expressions, simply leaned in and whispered, "Act like he is a complete and total stranger."

Merry nodded and glared at The Doctor. Clara knew she was acting, but Merry was an incredibly skilled actress. Clara wondered who taught her.

"How did you get here?" Merry demanded. She folded her arms and flashed a steely gaze.

The Doctor seemed taken aback. "Now that's a bit unfriendly!" he exclaimed. "You're supposed to be unbelievably kind!"

"Yes, well, look at my point of view!" Merry argued. "A man I don't know just broke into my home, entered my favorite room, and is now lecturing me on kindness!"

Clara silently and casually walked behind the Doctor. She hadn't pickpocketed much, but nevertheless, it's worth a shot. She reached into his pocket to search for his sonic screwdriver. The Doctor whirled around. "What are you doing?" he demanded.

"Um, um," she was terrified.

Luckily, Merry covered for her. "She is not doing anything, sir," she said. "Now, I will let you go off unreported, but - "

Clara interrupted. The Doctor could help her! "But you have to help me," she finished.

Merry nodded. "Yes. You have to help her. She isn't from Akhaten, so she uses a ship. Unfortunately, the ship's systems are immobilised. Her friend is stuck inside with a bomb," she glanced at the clock. "That's set to go off one and a half hours from now."

"What?!" The Doctor exclaimed. "Can't you disable it?"

"No," replied Clara breathlessly. "The bomb's inside."

"You lot always get into trouble," muttered The Doctor crossly. However, despite his attitude, Clara knew he would try his best to help her. She trusted him.

Merry looked anxiously at him. "So, Doctor, will you help?"

"Yes, yes," he answered. "But only for my freedom. I definitely do not want to actually help." Clara smiled. His bad acting skills hadn't changed.

"Well, when do we start?" Clara asked.

The Doctor looked at her. "Jenna, you have to be patient. First things first, we have to scan the planet."

Clara looked at him as if he was crazy. "I'm sorry, are you serious?" she asked indignantly. "My friend is trapped inside there, and a bomb's gonna blow any moment. What exactly is your list of priorities?"

"Well, I'm sorry, Ms. Grumpy Round Face. Maybe we could start by you telling me where your ship is?" The Doctor shot back.

That shut Clara up. If he found out that she rode in a TARDIS, he would get suspicious. What if he thought she was Missy, regenerated? That would turn the situation around.

"What I want to know, is why are you carrying around another gizmo?" Clara changed the subject. "I don't know if a certain sonic device in your pockets are considered as weapons, but, well, let's just ignore that, shall we?"

The Doctor stared at her. "How did you know about my screwdriver?" he asked.

"Because," said Clara. "I'm impossible."

"Well, that you certainly are, Jenna," The Doctor muttered. "'I'm impossible'. What kind of answer is that?"

Merry, always the peacemaker, and who had gotten lost in their conversation long ago, spoke up. "Why don't you two argue after the crisis is averted, alright?" she asked hopefully.

"I don't trust people who know everything about me, and I don't know anything about them, but fine," said The Doctor. "But she needs to tell me where her ship is." He looked at Clara.

"Uh..." she was in trouble.

"See?" The Doctor exclaimed in frustration. "The round-faced girl doesn't even know where it is! At least describe it to me."

"I have a name, actually," replied Clara crossly. She did not relish being called round-faced girl.

"That's nice to know, now tell me what kind of ship it is!" The Doctor exclaimed, whipping out his sonic screwdriver. He scanned Clara and looked at the readings, puzzled.

"Did you just scan me?" Clara demanded, hoping her expression showed anger and irritation instead of anxiety. If the Doctor saw she wasn't breathing, or her heart wasn't beating, that could end her hope.

"It doesn't matter," replied The Doctor. He ran about, scanning the air in general. "Why are you standing about? We have an hour to save your friend!" He rushed about, scanning here and there until he pointed the screwdriver to the direction of a certain wooden wardrobe. He walked up to it and scanned the wardrobe again. Clara bit her lip. He had found the TARDIS.

"Why are you scanning a cabinet?" Merry demanded. The Doctor didn't answer, and instead tried his TARDIS key on the cabinet lock. Thankfully, it didn't open. The Doctor gave Jenna a strange look.

"Jenna," he called. "Come here." Clara reluctantly walked over to him.

"What?" she asked. The Doctor scanned her, and then scanned the cabinet/TARDIS.

"Doctor, please stop scanning me!" Clara pleaded. He looked at her in a way that she couldn't decipher, and walked away. Clara gasped. Was he abandoning her?

Briskly, the Doctor called out, "Come on."

Clara and Merry followed. They glanced at each other. The Doctor's change of behaviour was worrying.

So, there is obviously a lot of conflict between Clara and The Doctor. They waste a lot of time worrying, when they are running out of time. Honestly, I have no idea how I'm gonna squeeze the plot in the space of 1 hour. I have to find a way on how to extend the time.

By the way, I would like if some one is willing to beta read me. PM me if interested. Thanks!
