its been about a week since my concert, schools been hard. I mean come on its not easy to put your career on hold to go back to school and expect everyone to treat you like a normal teenager. I've already been asked by the student council to be the guest star of the schools Fall Carnival. I've had a few run ins with Cam Saunders...he seems pretty cool. I mean we haven't really talked much since the concert, I'm worried that he thinks I'm too good for him to talk to just because I have a singing career. So I'm going to take the step and talk to him first…hopefully it will go well.
"hey cam!" I say as we leave French, he turns surprised
"Oh hey Maya, what's up?"
"well we haven't talked since the concert, so I figured I'd say hi"
At that point he just kind of stares at me like I had to heads…
"whats wrong cam? Why are you looking at me like that?"
He shakes his head and laughs a little to forcefully "oh I don't know Maya, you're a superstar with an amazing career so please forgive me if I find it hard to believe that the girl I really like and bumped into the other day just so happens to be the FAMOUS Maya Matlin and just so happens to want to be my friend!" Im shocked at mad and hurt he sounds at the same time..wait..he likes me?
"Cam..I really do want to be your friend. I honestly don't care about the fame I've come to acquired, that's why I came back to degrassi..to my home town. I want to go to school like a normal teenager, not be on tour everyday and have to get my school work online or send it back through the mail! I only continue this career so I can sing, that's the only part that I love.." he just stares at me like im the fist celebrity that doesn't want their fame. Well if he doesn't want to be my friend then so be it, I wont, ill ignore him like he seemed to have wanted from the beginning.
With that I turn and walk to my other class, im shocked and hurt that he thinks that low of me…
A/N: I know that I've been MIA from this story for quite a while, so ill give you the rough version. Parents got divorced around 6 month before my last update so I had to help my dad with some thing while working, starting college, getting flooded out of my apartment and then having to deal with the insurance to get money to replace the stuff I can..yes I lost some irreplaceable pictures, then got so much crap at my job that I quit and had to find a new one. But so far everything seems to be in order and going alright for now, so im going to get back into trying to finish this story!
