A/N: Massive thank you to Element Siren, Nbaha, Clara-Lis and Jane Callira Doe for favouriting/following/reviewing :) And as usual a thank you and a hug to my wonderful beta way2cool4uXX. Just thought I'd also mention the part about the tap is genuinely in my local cemetery before people look at me too weirdly. Anyway I hope you enjoy :)

"I didn't expect to see you here."

Gemini glanced over her shoulder in acknowledgment of Double-0 Seven's words, giving him a small smile before going back to staring glumly at the slab of granite in front of her. Double-0 Seven moved to stand beside her, surveying her for several moments, before he too stared at the grey stone.

"You've changed your hair."

She glanced up at his face.

"You've lost some of yours."

He smirked slightly, "I'm hardly that old."

"You're of the previous generation, dear. I think that makes you old," Gemini said mock seriously.

Double-0 Seven chuckled slightly, but didn't retaliate.

They stood in silence for a few minutes, in which time Double-0 Seven sobered, eyes transfixed by something on the headstone that only he could see. Gemini watched as he crouched in front of it, placing down several large bunches of flowers that were in his hand and yanked the weeds and grass that had tangled near the base. He pulled the dried out, wilted flowers from the metal flower holder and tossed them to the side. Slowly, he brought some semblance of tidiness back to the headstone that was dirtied from a year of neglect.

Sighing, Gemini trudged off, only to return minutes later with a milk bottle full of water. Double-0 Seven ceased in his cleaning momentarily to look at her quizzically. She shrugged and gestured to the pile of abandoned bottles next to a water tap and drain.

"For the flowers," she said by way of explanation.

Double-0 Seven nodded his thanks as he picked up the flowers and accepted the bottle, pouring a small amount of water into the flower holder. Gemini watched in silence as he arranged a bunch of the flowers carefully. She frowned, dissatisfied by something. Quickly she snatched the bottle up and poured the remaining water over the top of the headstone, washing away the remaining dirt that clung to it. Double-0 Seven said nothing, but sent her a small smile she almost missed.

Finally, Double-0 Seven was done and he stood up and stood back to inspect the headstone. He stood there silently for a long while, staring at, but not really seeing, the name inscribed on the stone. The cemetery air hung frozen between them, both prolonging and shortening their vigil, as if it sympathised with them and all those who entered it. Slowly, Double-0 Seven came back to himself and allowed himself a glance at his daughter.

"Why are you here?"

Gemini looked up at the almost inaudible voice, "She's technically my step-mum, I figured I owed it to her."

He let out a heavy breath once more, "How did you know I'd be here?"

Gemini shrugged, the gesture jerky, "This is the day she died. You're one for tradition."

Double-0 Seven smirked slightly and turned away from the grave. Abruptly his face was sombre again as he turned to her, "Your mother's grave is here."

Gemini stiffened immediately, jaw clenching and eyes glazed over.

"Do want to see her?"

Gemini nodded stiffly, swallowing nervously. Double-0 Seven turned his back completely on the headstone of his dead wife and strode purposefully through the graves, taking surprising care to avoid walking over them. Gemini followed rigidly even as her eyes darted from name to name on the headstone, checking for that of her mother.

Double-0 Seven came to a slow stop, eyes focused once more on the name on a headstone. Gemini came to a stop beside him, frozen solid as she stared at the buttons on his jacket that were at eye level. Double-0 Seven looked down at her glazed expression and sighed knowingly. Hesitantly, he placed a hand on her shoulder and gently turned her body to face the grave.

It was in a similar state to the previous one and this time it was Gemini who bent down and pulled the grass and weeds from the bottom of the grave. It was Double-0 Seven who brought a bottle of water and watched as she arranged the bouquet of flowers he had bought for the grave. And it was Double-0 Seven that placed comforting hands on her shoulders as she cried.
