A/N Told in Lloyd's POV.

Disclaimer: I only own Alana and a few minor names mentioned in future chapters.

I still hadn't spoken to Cole and Kai and the other ninjas were starting to notice the tension between us. I was still annoyed at them but to be honest, I think it was just the boredom of not being able to train with the others yet.

I was sat watching Cole and Kai sparring with Zane and Jay. Sensei said I should just focus on doing basic exercises until they were definitely sure I was fine. I felt fine but my mind kept straying to Alana. I still extremely annoyed at her but she did save my life so was she bad or good? A yelp of surprise pulled me back to reality. Cole had thrown Jay across the dojo and he landed at my feet on his face. "Urgh! Oh! Hi Lloyd." I help Jay to stand up and a bruise was already forming across his face.

"You gonna get ice for that?" Jay nodded and limped from the room.

Kai and Zane shook hands and I saw Zane lean in and whisper something in Kai's ear. Whatever it was, it made Kai angry and he came storming over to me. "You ok?" I was confused about what I'd done.

"No! You promised you wouldn't tell anyone!" He was right in my face and I could see Zane and Cole running over.

Cole placed a comforting hand on Kai's shoulder, "What's the matter, Kai?"

Kai shook him off and shoved me, "How many people did you tell about us?" Oh. Zane had worked it out. He pushed me again.

"Don't push me. And why would I need to? Zane's a bloody robot! Of course he's going to figure it out if your not careful, you idiot!" I yelled back. I was fuming he thought I had told people. Cole obviously had worked out what Kai was on about because he turned to me desperate.

"You didn't Lloyd did you?"

"No! God, why the hell would I lie!" I yelled at him. Pushing past them, I stormed upstairs to the top deck of the Bounty and sat at the back of the ship - staring out at Ninjago. My city.

"Lloyd." I scrambled to my feet and glared at the familiar face looking at me.

"You!" I snarled at Alana, "How dare you come here!" I knew a shouldn't annoy her because I was weaponless and she was dressed in her black gi with a sword at her hip and the Emerald Dagger in her hand. She could kill me if she wanted to.

"Lloyd. Please just listen to me!" Her eyes were pleading.

"No."

"Please, I have something to tell you." She stepped towards me but I flinched away.

"Why should I? It was meant to be me! I was meant to be the green ninja!" I said. Fury was overwhelming me and I felt a strange sensation rising to the surface, threatening to explode from within me.

"You are the Green Ninja!" She screamed at me. I froze. The feeling disappeared as quickly as it came. I looked at Alana in confusion; she was staring in horror at me which confused me even more since she so easily beat me in the temple.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

She was about to explain but suddenly looked in the direction of the open dojo door. She spun around and before I could yell for her to stop, Alana dived off the side of the Bounty into the darkness below.

"Hey Lloyd. Dinner is ready. You coming?" Jay was stood behind holding an ice pack to his face. I nodded at him and followed him back inside.

Nya had made a stir fry for us at dinner and had asked Kai to set the table. When Jay and I walked in, Kai glared at me and pointed to a seat at the end of the table next to Zane - furthest away from anyone else. Zane looked absolutely miserable - I didn't blame him, Kai must have tried to take his head off. We sat in silence as the other ninjas chatted about their days. Zane didn't look at me once and sat playing with his food, not eating. My thoughts were on Alana. I was so confused about what she meant. I was the green ninja? No, she was crazy. Sensei has a copy of the prophecy written down. The saviour was definitely green and Alana was that saviour. She had the dagger.

"Right Lloyd?" Nya had asked me a question and I had no idea what she said.

"Um.." I shrugged. Nya rolled her eyes.

"We were talking about that awful ninja who attacked you." She explained.

"Oh yeah. Alana. She did save my life at the same time you know." I told her.

"And? She still tried to kill you."

"Yes, but she didn't. She knew what she was doing. If she was trying to kill me she would have probably cut my throat or something and then she would have definitely not told you I needed help."

They all looked surprised I was defending Alana, except Zane who still looked miserable.

"Jesus Lloyd! Did you hit your head or something? We thought you were dead!" Cole said.

"No Cole. I think Lloyd has a point. From what he's told me, she-"

"Shut up Zane!" Kai interrupted Zane.

"Hey! Kai!" "You shut up!" Both Nya and Jay had stood up to yell at Kai but I stood up and walked out. If I could decent Alina after what she did to me, why couldn't they?

I walked into my room and threw myself onto my bed.

"Thanks for defending me at dinner." I yelped in surprise. A robot bird was perched on my window sill. A falcon or a hawk maybe?

I rolled my eyes at it. "Stalker much?"

Alana's tinny laugh echoed around the room. "Sorry Lloyd. I just needed to know the right time to talk to you."

"So, you going to explain why I'm the green ninja?" I said.

"Oh yeah, sorry for running off. I couldn't be seen by your friend. No one else can know that I'm talking to you." I hummed in agreement. She continued, "I know you're going to get annoyed but it's easier to show you instead of telling you. That's why I came in person earlier. Can you meet me in two days on the beach by the high school? Midnight on the dot? If you're late by two minutes or bring anyone else, I'll leave." I sighed but nodded. The bird was about to take off but it paused, "Sensei has a scroll with the prophecy written down on it doesn't he. Bring it." The bird took off and flew into the darkness. What had I just agreed to?

Suddenly Cole threw open my door making me jump. Again. He narrowed his eyes "Who were you talking to?"

"Nobody! Myself." I answered, maybe a bit too quickly.

Cole shrugged. "You probably want to come. Kai and Nya are having a full-on argument. It's kind of scary. I feel bad for Jay. I left him there with Zane."

I stood up, "Why are they arguing?"

Cole sighed. I could tell he was frustrated. "So after you left," he said, "Nya and Jay were annoyed at Kai for telling Zane to shut up. Nya was asking why he was being so rude to you and Zane and Kai told her it wasn't important. Then she was like 'That's not a valid reason' Zane then said something under his breath that Jay must have heard because he just yelled, 'You and Cole are dating!?' really loudly. I love the kid but he doesn't know when to shut up. Obviously, Nya went mental at this, so while I'm just dying of embarrassment, she's taking Kai's head off."

I looked at him in surprise, "Nya doesn't like you guys dating?"

Cole looked at me and shook his head, "Nah, she seemed fine with it. She's yelling at him because she wasn't the first to know and that he was being awful to you and Zane about it. You've all been great about it. I know you didn't tell anyone; I tried to tell Kai that but he wouldn't listen." I nodded and opened the dining room door.

A wall of steam rushed out of the room to greet us. Cole and I peered around the door to look at the mess around Kai and Nya. The walls were covered in scorch marks and the table cloth was on fire. The Fire and Water ninja were stood on top of the table, both were dripping with water with wisps of steam rising off their clothes. "What the heck happened in here? I was gone for a minute to get Lloyd!" Cole hesitantly stepped into the room. Nya just glared at Kai. I followed Cole in and tried to avoid the puddles of boiling water on the floor.

"Um, where's Jay and Zane? I thought you said they were in here Cole?" I said.

"We are. Is it safe to come out now?" Jay stuck his head out from underneath the table. He carefully crawled out followed by Zane. They both looked quite pale. He stood up, "Next time you're going to destroy the dining room, give us some notice to get out first."

Someone cleared their voice behind me. "What is going on in here?!" Sensei was stood in the doorway staring at the wreck that was the dining room. His gaze fell on Kai and Nya who were still stood on the burning dining table and his face broke into a huge smile. He stood on the spot and did what I think was a small happy dance. I looked at Cole, "Sensei's finally gone crazy." I mouthed at him and he nodded in agreement.

"You've unlocked your full potential! Gary is so going down!" My uncle laughed. Gary?

I looked at him, "Who the hell is Gary?" I asked

Sensei's face fell, "Did I say Gary? I mean Garmadon!" My jaw dropped. Gary Garmadon. My dad's name is Gary.

Jay burst into fits of giggles."Wait- so you're telling me," he paused to catch his breath, "that the evil dark Lord Garmadon. The guy we're fighting. The one who is terrorizing Ninjago. Lloyd's dad! Is called Gary!" He was clinging onto Zane to stop himself from collapsing in hysterics. Cole, Kai, and Zane had started laughing with Jay; Nya was chuckling and I just stood there grinning. Kai jumped off the table and held his hand out to help Nya down. Instead of taking his hand, she pushed his face away and jumped off by herself.

Once Jay had calmed down, Kai turned to Sensei. "So back up a bit. Full potential?"

Sensei spun on his heel and beckoned for us to follow him to his study. Kai fell in step next to me. "Hey Lloyd. I just um… I wanted to say sorry. It was my problem and I should've known that you would never tell Zane. It's not you. I keep forgetting he's a robot and obviously a lot smarter than us. So… Friends?"

We stopped outside Sensei's study. I glared at him and crossed my arms. "No." His smile faltered and he opened his mouth to explain himself further. I held up my had to silence him. "No. I won't be your friend again until you talk to Zane." With that, I turned on my heel and entered the room. There were two seats spare - one next to Cole and one next to Zane. Kai headed over to the one next to Cole but much to his annoyance, I pushed him in the other direction towards Zane. Sensei was stood in the centre of the room watching us all. He cleared his throat again, catching our attention. "I'm sure you've all heard the story of Ninjago before but maybe not the whole of it. In the beginning, there was the first spinjitzu master. He created the four golden weapons: The Sword of Fire; The Scythe of Earth; The Lightning Nunchucks and the Shurikens of Ice. These weapons were passed on to his two sons to look after and eventually give to the Element Masters. Unfortunately, my brother…" Jay was sat at the back sniggering to himself. "Gary!" We all turned around and glared at him. "What?" He shrugged suddenly serious.

"Unfortunately, my brother decided he wanted to have the power to himself and I had to hide the weapons from him. That's when you four come in." Sensei nodded to the four original team members. "Those weapons linked to each of you: Fire for Kai, Earth for Cole, Ice for Zane and Lightning for-"

"Gary!" Sensei was once again cut off by Jay's annoying laughter.

"Shut up Jay. It's not that funny anymore." I whirled around and glared at him. Turning back to Sensei, I heard Kai snort with laughter. Jay was pulling faces at my back, wasn't he?

"As I was saying, those weapons match to each of you. But they do not hold all of the power. It is inside all of you - the weapons just helped you control it. If you were going to defeat my brother..." Jay burst out in laughter again; he tried to grab onto Nya but she pushed him away, rolling her eyes. Cole stood up looking murderous. He walked over to Jay and picked him up by the back of his collar. "Hey! Put me down! COLE!" Jay thrashed around but his efforts were pointless. Opening the door, Cole placed Jay outside of the study and locked the door close. "Guys! Let me back in! Pleeeeease!" He banged on the door then started laughing hysterically again. "Gary!" A thump suggested he'd fallen on the floor. Great.

Sensei sighed again as Cole took his seat again. "Thank you, Cole. Now that Jay has gone, we can continue. If you were going to defeat my brother, you would need to learn how to use your powers without the weapons. Kai and Nya have already unlocked their full potential so can summon their respective element using their mind. Do you want to have a go Nya?" She stood up and closed her eyes.

"Why can't I try?" Kai jumped up looking outraged.

"Because I would rather not have my office set on fire!"

"Oh" Kai slumped back into his seat and turned his gaze to Nya you had summoned a ball of water into her hands. She opened her eyes and gasped in surprise, causing her to lose focus and spill the water on the floor.

"And that is why Kai didn't do it. Off to bed with you all. It's already late enough." Sensei ushered us out the room however I hung back.

"Hey Uncle, I was wondering if I could borrow the scroll with the prophecy about her. For research purposes. Obviously!" I said.

He narrowed his eyes but handed me the scroll anyway. I hurried out of the room before he could ask any questions and headed to get changed to meet Alana.

A/N My friend and I decided Lord Garmadon's first name was Gary when we were in class and she was like 'What if Garmadon's first name was Gary?' We almost got sent out we were laughing so hard. Anyway, please review - it always helps improve.
