Normal POV:

Evan floated out of what used to be Foxy. His cage. He looked down at his remains. A few tears were shed for him as the spirit flew over to where the other 3 were. Not only were Ash, James and Samantha there, but their other friends- Trevor, Scott, Drake, Seth, Crystal, Maxine, and Billy- were there as well.

"Who was that?" Evan asked the others.

Everyone turned to the back room, where the man was just standing there, watching them. He then pulled the hoodie off his head, revealing his purple hair.

"There. Now you can go see Darlene again," Derek told the spirits, "Think of it as an apology for everything I've done."

"He's...apologizing..." Crystal repeated, mostly to herself.

"Yeah, right!" Scott scoffed, "He's just saying that for show!"

"You sure?" Drake asked, "He sounds like he means it..."

"Uh huh," Seth agreed, "He sounds so sincere."

"He's being crafty!" James said angrily, "He's trying to trick us!"

"Don't you remember how hurt he looked when Darlene had said she thought he was her friend? He looked like he was struck by a bullet!" Billy defended the purple-haired man.

Derek stood there in shock. The spirits were fighting. That only made him feel even more guilty. None of this would have happened if he hadn't killed those poor kids.

"Guys, stop fighting!" Derek shouted at them, getting their attention, "I'm sorry! I never meant to hurt you! I just wanted you to stay innocent!" Tears formed in his eyes. "I'm sorry...You don't know how much I regret killing you!"

The 11 spirits huddled up. They talked it over, and then they walked into the back room. Drake, Seth, Crystal, Maxine, and Billy blocked the exit while Scott, Ash, James, Samantha, Evan, and Trevor walked ominously closer to the man. Derek took a step back, fear written all over his face.

"W-what?!" he asked, his voice shaking.

"You must pay for what you have done to us!" Ash said to him.

Derek, in complete terror, ran toward an old bunny suit to the left of him and carefully put it on. He laughed in relief. "See?" he asked, a hint of insanity in his voice, "I'm just like you..."

"You do realize it's raining...right?" Ash asked, smirking.

Derek's pupils shrunk. "What?!"

Suddenly, there was a ping! Then another. Then there was a SNAP! Derek let out a blood-curdling scream as the springlock suit tore him apart. He collapsed onto his knees, soon falling into a sitting position as he fought for conscious. Tears flowed down his cheeks as he was unable to to stop them.

All but 4 spirits then left for Darlene's house to tell her they were free. The spirits who stayed- Drake, Seth, Crystal, and Billy- heard Derek sob as he thrashed around.

"I'm so sorry, Lavender..." they heard him mumble. He then noticed he wasn't alone and told the 4, "I'm sorry... I really am..."

"We know," Billy replied.

"We forgive you," Crystal added.

This made Derek smile. "When you get to Darlene's house, tell her I..."

There was a pause. "You what?" Drake asked.

"I...love...her..." he mumbled under his last breath. The 4 nodded at each other and left to follow the others.

-at Darlene's house-

When the 11 spirits finally found their friend, though, they were in for a big surprise. Darlene was on her death bed as well.

"Mommy? Are you going to be okay?" a black-haired girl asked, sounding concerned.

"Don't worry about me," Darlene told her 18 year old daughter, "I figured I wasn't gonna live long since I got bitten."

Darlene's husband comforted their daughter as he said, "We're going to miss you, my love."

"I'll miss you too, Samuel. Maria. Thanks for spending the last few moments of my life with me..." She then closed her eyes and took her last breath.

"Hurry!" Ash said to his friends, "Maybe we can get her spirit to stay with us!" And so Ash, James, Samantha, Evan, and Trevor helped Darlene's spirit out of her body, and the reunited friends hugged each other happily.

"Should we tell her?" Billy asked.

""I don't know…" Drake said, crossing his arms, "Although we did promise him, I'm not sure if she's ready to forgive him yet."

"I feel the same, sadly," Crystal replied, "We should probably wait…"

"Seth and Billy nodded in agreement as the rest of the spirits hug Darlene in pure happiness.

-30 years later-

"Are you sure you want to take this job, Maria?"

Maria nodded. "Yes, Timothy. My family has a history with Freddy's, so I want to keep it alive."

The blonde man hugged his girlfriend. "Just stay safe for me, okay? And for your father?"

"Of course!" Maria said, and Timothy left, waving goodbye. Maria waved back and turned back to the attraction.

She sighed sadly. "Oh, mother, will I ever get to see you again…?"
