The guard leads my inside the palace as I followed him from behind.

"Stop here." He put his arm in front of me, blocking my way.

Suddenly, a woman appears from what it appears to be the living room. Her hair was creepily white and her red eyes seems so intimidating.

"So, you must be applying for the job is that correct?" She said in a deep voice.

"Yes." I showed her the paper.

She smiled, a creepy grin actually.

"Guard, leave us."

"Yes, ma'am." The guard marches outside the palace doors.

"My name is Haku, I'm one of the king's supervisors." She said. "I am in charge of who gets hired for the palace's staff."

"I'm Rin."

"Come this way." She said walking inside the living room.

I can't help but smell alcohol in the air as I enter the room. Even though it was early in the morning, this Haku lady wasn't not holding back. There were bottles of alcohol on the small table which most of them were already empty. Wine, beer, vodka, you name it.

"Please sit." She said as she sat beside me.

"Yes."

"This is why we need more maids these days." Haku answered with a sigh. Oh, gross. I could smell the alcohol in her breath.

"Oh." I sat down beside her.

"Tell me, Rin. Why did you decide to apply for this job?"

"Well."

It was the only job left? NO!

It looked easy? NO WAY!

For the money? OH, COME ON!

"You seem like an Independent child." She crossed her legs. "You're quite young to be working at this age."

"Are you good with house work though?"

"Yes!"

"Good." She poured a glass of wine.

"So, will you accept me?"

"Sure, why not?" She drank.

I could hear my inner parade cheering for me.

"Thank you." I said politely.

"Rin, you look so much like the prince." She starts to get closer to me.

"Miss Haku, wait-!" I tried to back away but then she grabbed my chin.

"Such a pure boy in the outside but with a tainted heart in the inside" She said drunkenly.

"Huh?" Is everyone in this castle crazy in love with Len?

"Nevermind." She backed away

"Sorry about that, I do sometimes get a little carried away when it comes to wine." She laughed with a blushed face.

"Yeah. Don't worry about that." I said with a laugh of worry.

She suddenly snaps her finger.

"Teto!"

"Yes! Madam Haku!" She appeared again, out of nowhere no less!

"Lead our new maid Rin to her new room if you please"

"Yes ma'am!" She pulls me, again out of the living room.

"Hey! I can walk by myself thank you." I said pulling my hand out of her grip.

She pointed at one of the doors.

"This is your room."

She then pointed the door next to mine.

"This is my room, got it?"

"Yeah, sure."

She suddenly throws me a bag.

"Inside there is your uniform, wear it and meet me in the kitchen as soon as possible."

I unzipped the bag and the first thing I saw is a white ribbon. It was so adorable.

"Hey thank-"

Before I could even thank her, she was gone just like that. What a weird maid. Well, at least I have job with a good salary. I wonder what my room looks like? I was hoping for a room just as roomy and elegant as Len's but to no avail.

It was plain as ever.

There was one window, one bland colored bed, a small wardrobe and an empty desk. But it was better than nothing. Better than her own home at least. I lay down the bed and before I knew it, I was in dreamland.

"Mommy! Mommy!" I said running to her.

But whenever I try to get close to her she keeps drifting away.

"Don't go!" I shout.

"Rin-" I hear a voice behind me, it wasn't mother's voice.

"Rin!" Everything went blurry.

"RIN!"

I then sat up on my bed surprised by the furious Teto in front of me.

"Hi." I smiled at her

"Didn't I tell you to meet me in the kitchen- And why aren't you in uniform!" She yelled.

This is probably why I get fired from most of the jobs I've had.

"I'm sorry! I'll get changed and meet you there! Promise!" I try to push her out of the door.

"You better!" She replied.

Finally, I closed the door as I sighed deeply. Get it together, Rin. I shouldn't be dozing off. My eyes drift towards the bag containing my uniform. As I opened it, I see the adorable white ribbon once again. Soon, I pull the rest of the uniform out in the open. It was nothing new, just an ordinary maid outfit with black and white colors but with the symbol of the Yellow kingdom on the left side of the chest area.

I quickly get changed and as soon as I was finished, I put on the white ribbon on the top of my head. I quickly turn myself to look at the mirror, observing how strange I looked wearing such a girly outfit. But at least I didn't look bad.

"Alright Rin! This is gonna be a great job, just do your best!" I encouraged my reflection with fire in my eyes.

"Damn, you must be the cutest maid in history." I heard a familiar voice coming from the other side of my room.

"Eh?" That's when I realized that it was Kaito, sitting beside my window.

"Hey! Were you here the whole time?" I stuttered.

"Yep." He grinned. "I saw everything. But don't worry, there was nothing to see anyway."

"Ge-Get out!" I try to push him out.

"Alright." Kaito replied as he got off the ledge. "Len will be very surprised."

Then he was gone.

"God, he's so annoying!"

I then exited my room to enter the kitchen. Even though it's my second time here, I still feel amazed as I looked around and examined the large and well-decorated rooms.

That's when I saw Teto.

"Its about time." She hands me a tray of pancakes and a glass of milk "Len-sama's room is upstairs second room to the right."

"What? Why can't he have breakfast downstairs?" I answered. There was a huge dining room just beside the kitchen, big enough to sit at least twenty people.

"It's the daily routine, now go." She pushed me towards the stairs.

The staircase had at least thirty to forty steps to reach the second floor. I could only swallow in nervousness as I gripped the tray's handles tight, making sure that none of its contents would fall of as I took a step. I took each step carefully, and when I stepped my last, I could feel the sense of victory in the air.

"I made it at last." I say to myself proudly.

I soon head towards Len's door and knocked.

"Breakfast?"

I placed my head against the door, to hear if he answers and sure enough, he does.

"Come in." I heard Len's voice in a muffled tone.

As soon as I opened the door and entered his room, the only thing I noticed, or the only thing I could see was nothing. The room was totally dark, I couldn't even see the prince's face. I could only see a bit of light coming from the blind spots of the curtains but more than that, nothing. I tread carefully to the side of his bed, placing the trey on the table beside him.

"Hey, it's time for breakfast." I said even though it was clearly almost noon outside.

He slowly sits up with a daze in his eyes. Like mine, his hair wasn't tied in a ponytail, instead it fell to the base of his neck, messy and feral. But the one thing that clearly got me off guard was that he was topless. I felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment.

Len quickly stared at the trey but with a disgusted expression on his face.

"Gross." He said blankly.

"Huh?" There was absolutely nothing gross about fresh cooked pancakes.

"I hate sweets." He replied. "Get me something else."

He then shoves they trey out of the table causing the food and drink to spill onto the pristine marbled floor.

"He-Hey! What do you think you're doing?" I feel my blood boil.

He sticks out his tongue.

"Clean this up." He smirked.

God, he's so mean! How could he do that? As soon as I lean down to clean the mess, he speaks again.

"Hey, you're that girl." He found out.

I turned to face him.

"It's nice that you remembered." I force a smile.

His expression fell to a frown.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was looking for a job then I stumbled to this one." I answered quickly.

He must be annoyed that I'm here so turn my attention to the fallen food on the floor once again, quickly picking up the waste.

"Rin, was it?" He speaks.

He remembers my name?

I took a glance at him.

"You remembered?"

"Well yeah, Kaito was blabbing about it nonstop yesterday."

Damn, that pervert!

After I finished cleaning the mess, I looked at Len once again and I noticed that he too was staring at me as well.

"What's wrong?" He put his hands behind his back and lied down proudly.

"You seem kind of familiar."

He smirked.

"Maybe I met you somewhere, in the garbage perhaps."

I want to hit him so bad but I could only sigh because I couldn't do anything to this precious evil prince.

"Well, Len-sama I hope days like these continue." I said with an obviously pissed off smile.

I heard him chuckle in response.

"So do I, call me Len instead." He answered. "I know that you don't see me as a prince."

Len.

Why does it sound really familiar?

I closed the door behind, thinking where I had heard it before. I mean of course I've known that name for a long time now ever since he was known as a prince but there was something else about his name that reminded me of something else that I've had forgotten.

"Rin!" I hear Teto calling me from downstairs.

The staircase was like a balcony where you could see the ground floor so I walked to the edge to see Teto.

"The prince doesn't like sweets!" I shouted.

That's when I see Teto's cheeks turn bright red.

'Don't say that out loud, idiot!"

I guess working here may not be terrible after all.
