A/N: I'm back! Let's get on with it! I hope you all enjoy.
Sunset smiled evilly, as she held the crown. "Finally.. More power.. Than I could ever.. Imagine!" Placing it on her head was a mistake. The crown sent out blue and black aura's as it consumed the teenager.
She had transformed into a she-demon. Her hair was now spiked upwards, and her skin blood red. Her dress was also yellow and red, and she had a tail that matched her hair color. Twilight bit her lip, as she looked at Sunset.
The girl was taking over the school! The students had become mindless zombies, following the orders of Sunset. "Round them up and bring them to the portal." Sunset told snips and snails. "Spoiler alert." She looked at Twilight. "I was bluffing about breaking the mirror. I don't want to control this world, I want.. Equestria."
"You won't get it!" Twilight said.
"And why not?!" Sunset smirked. "I have your crown, and you have nothing." Sunset didn't want to hurt Twilight, but she would if she needed to. "If you interfere, I will hurt you."
"So do it. I've faced worse in Equestria. Maybe that's why I'm a princess, and you aren't." Sunset's heart snapped at this. "You just want power. A true princess takes care of her friends, and of her kingdom. Yet here you are, destroying the one that you pretty much rule over."
"You don't even remember me!" Sunset's voice was harsh, making Twilight flinch. "We were Celestia's students. We did everything together. We would laugh, and play games. We would study!" Suddenly, Sunset's voice went soft, like her original voice. Her eyes changing back to normal. "You were my best friend.."
Twilight looked up at Sunset Shimmer, in complete awe. "We can go back to that." She said.
"How?" Sunset asked, tears starting to fall. "You don't even remember me."
"That may be true.. But we can start over, make new memories!"
Sunset was silent, and looked at Twilight. In Twilights face, she saw the pony Twilight she knew, and then remembered Celestia. "No." Sunset said. "I want my old memories, and I'll make sure you remember me!" She held out her hand, vines wrapping around Twilight and pinning her to the horse at the top of the portal.
"Twilight!" Applejack called.
"I'm okay!" Twilight said, as she wiggled in the vines.
The mane five looked at each other, and nodded at each other, all taking off in different directions. "Where are you going?" Sunset asked, as they scattered.
"We're Twilight's friends!" Applejack said.
"Real friends!" Rainbow Dash replied.
"If you were her friend, you wouldn't do something like this!" Fluttershy yelled, as she held Spike close to her.
"What do you know?!" Sunset asked, as Rainbow and Applejack climbed up the portal walls, and up to Twilight.
"We know that real friends aren't big meanies!" Pinkie called out.
"Much agreed!" Rarity said.
"Oh Gee!" Sunset smirked. "I guess the gang really is back together!" She said, as she charged some energy. "Now watch, as I take your princess before your eyes!" She threw the ball, as all of her friends ran over to the portal.
Everything was dark, but then a pink light shone through the dust. Twilight looked around, and smiled at her friends. The vines snapped, and she jumped down from her small jail section, and smiled.
"My element was able to unite with those that helped create it!" She said, as her friends ran over, and smiled. The pink light surrounded all of them, as Twilight continued. "Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Kindness, Honesty, Loyalty, Magic.." All of the girls gained pony ears, and the ones that had wings back home, gained wings as well. "The crown may be upon your head, but you cannot wield it. For you do not posses the most powerful magic of all! The magic... Of Friendship.."
A giant rainbow attack unleashed itself on Sunset, causing far more damage than Twilight thought possible. "Here and in Equestria, it is the only true magic that can unite us all."
The attack finished, and the mane 6 landed on the ground. Spike ran over to Twilight and licked her face, causing her to sit up and hug the dog. She then walked over to the hole in the ground, which had Sunset Shimmer inside of it. "Any magic you had from this world is gone. Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are."
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry.." She girl climbed up the side of the hole, and prompted herself up. "I didn't know there was another way."
"The magic of friendship isn't just in Equestria. It's everywhere. You can seek it out, or forever be alone.." Twilight looked at the ground.
"I tried. I lost my one friend. I don't know the first thing about being friends with anyone else.." Sunset said. "I want to return to Equestria with you.." She looked up at Twilight, who looked down at Sunset, and smiled, grabbing her hand and pulling her out of the hole.
"I'm sure Celestia would love that.." Twilight smiled.
"I would." Principle Celestia walked over, and smiled. "Sunset Shimmer. I believe that it'd be safer for you to return to Equestria." She smiled. "After all, I'm sure that you'd feel so much safer back home."
"You can always come and visit us." Luna replied. "But for now, I think it would be safer this way."
Both girls stood in front of the mirror. "Well." Twilight said.
"Yeah." Sunset replied.
"Come on!" Spike walked into the mirror, and Sunset grabbed Twilights hand as they walked through.
Though, something seemed to happen. All at once, Twilights childhood flashed before her eyes. The days with Sunset came back, the night they found the mirror, Celestia apologizing.
When they landed on the other side, Twilight looked at Sunset, and felt tears swelling up. "Sunny..?" She asked.
"Twily!" Sunset smiled, as both friends awkwardly horse hugged.
Celestia looked at Twilight sadly, knowing that her student now knew the truth. "You lied to me." Twilight said, as the tears fell. "How could you?"
"I had to. To protect you."
"Protect me from what?" Twilight asked.
"I didn't want you to follow the same fate that Sunset did. If you were to go through the mirror, we would all be doomed." Celestia replied.
