So in this chapter, things start to heat up a little bit. Enjoy!

I don't own House of Anubis

KT gasped. The footsteps got louder as they neared the door. There was nowhere for her to run. She was trapped between her possessed friend, and an unknown person that was coming closer very fast. KT assumed it was Denby, coming to help Patricia detain her. KT took a deep breath. This was it. However, just as she was deciding what to do next, she heard a familiar voice.

"Patricia!" called Eddie's panicked voice from the stairwell.

KT sighed with relief. It was not Denby, but her friends. They may not trust her now, but she hoped they would end all of this madness. The evil in Patricia surely couldn't fight four people.

Patricia's red eyes widened as she realized who the people on the staircase were. She glanced around wildly, seemingly searching for an escape. Apparently, Patricia had not expected this complication. KT didn't have a clue what Patricia was planning to do, but she was certainly not expecting what came next. With a sinister grin towards KT, Patricia laid herself at KT's feet and closed her eyes, becoming quite still. KT stared down in shock as the door burst open behind her.

"Yacker!" screamed Eddie, throwing himself into the room. KT turned around, her wide eyes meeting Eddie's frantic ones. Eddie stared at her, then glanced down at her feet where the stiff Patricia laid. He looked back up at KT, with anger and hurt dominating his usually calm eyes.

"What did you do to her?" Eddie shouted, kneeling down beside Patricia and attempting to shake her awake. KT now understood what Patricia had done. She had made it look as if KT had lured her here and attacked her instead of the other way around. Now, KT looked even guiltier than she did before.

"I-I-I didn't! It wasn't- I would never- I swear!" KT stammered, pleading with Eddie to believe her, but she knew he wouldn't. Fabian and Alfie ran through the doorway next, and their eyes moved together from KT, to Patricia, and back to KT.

"Oh God," mumbled Alfie, looking at Patricia, then glaring at KT.

"I knew it," growled Fabian, "I knew you were the traitor."

"No! I didn't- She was the one who-" KT stuttered, unable to think of any believable explanations as to why she was standing over the seemingly unconscious body of her good friend. She began to cry, silently pleading with her friends who believed her to be a traitor.

"Save it KT," spat Eddie, and Fabian and Alfie knelt down to try and help awaken their friend.

"Come on Patricia. Wake up. Please!" cried Eddie desperately, but she didn't respond. KT backed away from the others, covering her face with her hands. How had things gotten so messed up? She realized there was nothing she could do right now to make her friends believe her. Maybe, she could approach them later and try and get them to realize the truth. Maybe, she could get some evidence to prove they had gotten it all wrong. She needed to do this for Patricia's sake as much as hers. If there was any hope of getting the real Patricia back, she would need the others to help her. But right now, that was not an option. They were all extremely angry with her. KT realized she needed to get out of there before they did something hasty out of rage.

KT started towards the door, hoping the others were too busy worrying about Patricia to do anything to stop her.

"Hold it right there," growled Eddie, glaring at KT with such a look of hatred that it gave her chills.

"Eddie, please… I need to…" KT started, not knowing what do say.

"Save it. You aren't going to get away with this, you know. We're going to stop you and your little friends on team evil. So don't think for a minute you're going to get any mercy out of us from whatever sob story you've come up with to protect yourself. We've seen what you sunk low enough to do," spat Eddie, looking sadly at Patricia with his last statement. Then he looked right into KT's eyes and said, "You are nothing but a filthy lying traitor."

KT felt as if she had been slapped in the face. Her lip quivered. The word 'traitor' lingered in the air, and mocked her. They had it all wrong. She was innocent. She was good. But they didn't know. They thought she was a traitor.

With nothing left so say, KT sprinted down the stairs, determined to get as far way from the gatehouse as possible. The others yelled after her, but she didn't slow down at all. KT was distraught and overwhelmed with everything going on in her life. But she felt she had a duty to protect her friends from the force making Patricia turn evil, even if they did think she was just a traitor.

Thanks for reading! And I think you can guess what I'm going to say next, but I'll say it anyway: Review!
