Sorry it took so long to update. No excuses, lets move on. In the last chapter, we found out the secret to Chii's eyes and that she hates her father who is Itachi. Oh well, you've read the past chapters hopefully lets get on with the story. Don't forget to R&R.

The Next Day

I looked out over the mountain range trying to decide what our path would be for today. I wanted to stay as far away from the actual trail to avoid more bandits. Those two that we had encountered the other day was bad enough. Chii is still sleeping so I could scope out a path while she's out, but if she woke up and sensed that I wasn't here she might come looking for me. Even if she could navigate through the dense forest, if robbers set upon her... I didn't want her doing anything she will regret. And she would. Regret it that is. Killing a human... It changes you. I was a cat and yet the first time I killed a human male in the defense of Chii and old lady Masako I was sick for days. The second, third and so on were not any easier. The men came, all drawn by Chii's powerful chakra. The never ending source tempted men to use her power.

That is why Itachi tasked me with watching over her. In human years I was the same age as Chii. In cat years I was almost as old as the old lady. All the men and women I had killed in order to protect Chii... Each one made me even older. I will still do it again. Chii is not to fight unless it is a last resort. For one the girl is not trained. With her power she probably wouldn't need to be, but she couldn't control them. And the one person that could have ever taught her was...

Even though Chii didn't mourn her father, I mourned for her. She is so much like her father in the way she will not show her emotions. I've seen her cry only once on the day she discovered what her eyes really were. I could still remember that day. I could still hear her scream, feel the heat from those black flames. Those flames gave me nightmares still.

"What are you thinking about?"

I looked back at Chii thinking it was good I hadn't left to scope out the path. She was still laying down not even facing towards me.

"Your aura changed. You were thinking about something that you didn't like."

"I was thinking about going out and finding a path we could travel on. Avoid the actual road."

She got on her feet and started packing.

"Put out the fire and we'll get going"

An hour later we were off. I lead the way through the forest, silence between us.

"Yoko?"

"Yeah?"

"Why are you coming with me?"

I stopped and looked back at her surprised to find her so far away. She must have stopped walking a while back and I hadn't even noticed.

"Do you not want me to?"

" If I said no?"

"Then I would follow you."

"But, why?"

"I still don't understand."

"Why do you come with me? You know what I'm going to do, you know the dangers, you know that were probably going to die, you know these things, so why are you coming?"

Well, I didn't plan to die, nor let her.

"I don't know."

"Exactly."

"What?"

"You don't know. You don't know whats going to happen, you don't know where were going, you don't even know ME."

"What are you talking about."

"Ita never told you about me did he?"

"What are you-"

"I'm not human."

I was shocked into silence. What did she mean she wasn't human? She looked human. She SMELLED human. She continued on, almost like she wasn't even talking to me.

"I wasn't even born. I was CREATED. I wasn't born from a man and a woman, I am just a copy from DNA. Two years worth of copying DNA put into a bubble hooked up to a machine. That is what I am. I was created to fuel a man's desire to have the body of a bloodline."

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

"I was created by a man named Orochimaru. About ten years ago, when Ita was eleven years old, Orochimaru attacked Itachi. Ita trapped him in the Sharingan but Orochimaru was able to draw blood, therefor having Ita's DNA. Orochimaru extracts the DNA and puts it into a makeshift womb. It takes two years for the DNA to form a fetus. Orochimaru is hoping to raise the fetus into his own liking and then steal the body and use its power for himself. Not only was he surprised to find the fetus, created only from a mans DNA, to be a female, she is powerful. More so than anything hes ever seen. He tries to kill the fetus, but he cant even touch it. He'll have to wait for the incubation period to be over so that he can kill it.

Right before the period is over, Ita hears rumors of a demon baby being created from a mad man. He investigates and goes to find Orochimaru. He comes to his hideout and sees the place abandoned. All he sees is the fetus on the floor with a small Susanoo protecting her. He approached the fetus, reached down to touch the baby. Her eyes are closed and as he begins to touch the Susanoo, it dissipates. The baby opens her eyes to show a Sharingan."

I feel as though I'm in a trance the entire time she talks. She was right, I hadn't known this. My line was known for helping the Uchiha clan. We didn't question, we just protected. This didn't change anything, but it was... unsettling. Not how she was... created but the fact that a man could do such a thing. I stand there, staring at her. She holds her head up, not looking in my direction.

"So, now that you know the truth... Are you still coming?"

Before I could answer a voice behind me spoke.

"Oh-ho-ho, what do we have here?"

I turned around to see a man in a black robe with red clouds. I had seen this robe many times on Itachi. But this man was not him. This was the man I had been warned about. The man with the Rinnegan mask. This was Tobi.

Ok, thats it for this chapter. I cant guarantee when the next chapter will be up but ill try and make it soon. This one is kind of short, but ill try and make the next one longer. Please R&R, I love it when people give me ideas and advice. Good or bad, please comment.
