Chapter 3

Remaining Cast List (SYOC is now CLOSED):

Jackson 'Jax' Carmichael by Maya-Hathaway- A sweet freshman wallflower who looks tough but is a giant teddy bear. He's being raised by a single mom.

Addison 'Addi' Daniels by Maya-Hathaway- A sophomore jock who has a secret geek side. The team motivational speaker, she does keep her life quiet.

Cameron Schneider by MikaelsonFan93- A sophomore drama outcast with a love for classic rock. His family life is all kinds of complicated.

Not every character will audition in this episode, some will wait a bit. Don't worry if your character doesn't audition, he/she will eventually be in Glee club.

"It's a glee club Eric!"

Eric Halstead sighed as he followed his little sister Marisol down the hallways. Marisol had decided to sign up for the New Directions, she was a talented girl who loved to sing and dance. Eric, being the overprotective big brother he was, had some concerns. He'd seen that there were some guys in the group and was worried that Marisol would get mixed in, he still saw her as the little girl who played with Barbie dolls instead of a growing teenager. Therefore, he didn't like it. Well, Eric didn't like a lot of things.

"A glee club with boys in it Mari. No dating til you're married, remember."

"Stop it Eric, I'm a big girl now. You just have a stick up your ass because Calleigh moved away to New York and she's not here to let you pass all the classes you're failing."

"Don't mention that," Eric hissed, "Hey, what are you looking at?"

That was directed at a couple of people who were listening in on their conversation. They whimpered under his glare, running down the hallway. Everyone was terrified of Eric; he was the big bad boy of McKinley High- not even the football players who messed with him at middle school got on his bad side here. Well, Marisol wasn't scared of him because she knew that Eric wasn't as bad as he made out.

"Why don't I show you who's signed up?" Marisol suggested, "I'm sure you'll be fine once you see who's going to be in it with me."

"It's not a definitive list."

"Just do it Eric," Marisol pulled his arm, "Here we are- look Robin Cervantes."

"Gay kid that looks like a cherub, that's fine. Jason McCafferey- a problem."

"You don't even know him," his sister chided, "He's harmless, like would you even know who he was if he wasn't The Flash's brother? Nick is cool as well."

"Mr. Popular with girls hanging on his every word-not a chance. I bet he'll try something."

"Eric, he's a junior- I doubt he's weird enough to prey on freshmen."

"Some do," Eric warned darkly.

"Lori King, she's nice," Marisol encouraged, "You know Lori and everyone likes her."

"She gets a pass- Amy Berkeley."

"Amy's in a few of my classes, freshman as well. Cheerio."

"Cheerios are mean," Eric shot back, "She'll be mean to you, they're all mean. That Cheryl Sutton is a real bitch, I hope one of her girls goes for her one day and gives her a beat down because man no one deserves it more than her."

"You are such a stereotype. I'm not taking my name from the board and that is FINAL."

"Fine," Eric grabbed the pen, "Then I'm signing up."

"Glee club?" Marisol spluttered, "As if."

"You know how much Calleigh and I loved singing together, maybe it's a way to get closer to her," Eric shrugged, "Besides, I need to have some focus at this school now she's gone. She was the only reason I actually went to class sometimes. Anyway, I need to keep an eye on you."

He scrawled his name, "Done, let's go."

Eric's arm around his sister's shoulder, the two walked off.

Inside a classroom they passed was Freddie. Across from him was Gina Ford. Despite being only in the school for a few weeks as a freshman, he found that she was already a tough nut. She was extremely outspoken about everything, though her idea of debate seemed more argumentative. Gina wasn't quiet about her views on the curriculum either, much to Freddie's chagrin.

"Look Gina, you know I'm not a member of the school board- I can't change the texts that we learn. Whilst I admire your optimism in class, I feel you may need to tone it down."

"It's called the first amendment," Gina shot back, "I can say what I want and I will. Look, I get that you don't like my style and I'm not going to be a bitch and shout you down for it, but you should allow me to speak when others in the class do."

"There's a fine line between debate and disruption. Look, I may start having to give you attention and your parents may not like that."

"First up, my dad walked out when I was two. Second of all, my mom won't care."

"I'm sure that's not true."

"Oh it's not a charity case thing, my mom is the best," Gina shook her head, "It's just her head is spinning, we have a lot going on. My oldest sister is pregnant, not with her boyfriend and in some dead end retail job at the grocery store. Cesca, you know Cesca? Well she's a senior and she's probably going to be the first one in the family to get to college, even though we can't afford it. My youngest sister is having tests done to see if she has autism. So excuse me with all that, Mr. M. My way of expressing myself is this. I know what people think of my family, we're ghetto trash. All I want is to change society and if I think we're not getting representation in the curriculum, I will say. Call me an SJW all you want, but I'd rather be me than some of the sheep that are in this class. Nothing against you, Mr. M, I think you're cool, but sorry, I'm going to be a pain in your ass for the next four years."

Freddie sniggered, he did have a soft spot for Gina because she had some strong opinions and she could at least back it up.

Then, a light bulb lit up over his head.

"Say Gina, do you sing?"

Gina nodded, "Yeah I do. Not like professionally, but I've been singing to Kyra's bump."

"Have you heard about me reintroducing the Glee club?"

"Yeah, I have."

"Well maybe you'd like to join? You can express yourself and sing the music that you want to, that way you feel you have a voice. It'll be a great outlet and with your energy, we could go far because everyone will know what a spit fire you are. Plus, if you join, I may have to reconsider me giving you detention."

Gina paused, "Are you bribing me, Mr. M?"

"No, I..."

"I'll do it," she smirked, "I like your style and I was considering joining anyway, my mom and Kyra say I'm really good. BUT you have to hold up your end of the bargain, you can't give me any detention for 'being disruptive' or whatever you call it. Deal?"

"Deal," Freddie held out a hand, "Let's shake on it."

"Pleasure doing business with you sir," Gina took her bag, "Right, I'm going to go sign up and decide what tune I'm going to blow you all away with. Later."

"Bye Gina, don't forget your report."

"I won't," she called over her shoulder, exiting the room.

Whilst Gina went off confidently, there was someone else who contemplating entering the fray. Addison Daniels was usually more focused on killing it on the soccer field as one of McKinley's best female athletes, but she had something on her mind. She wanted to join Glee club.

She liked to sing, but usually in the shower. Addison had always been the outgoing one, someone who was free-spirited and confident, and she didn't feel a tinge of nerves at the idea. She knew that Glee club had a less than stellar rating, but she figured that being a jock might help her chances. Addison had always been athletic, so she was fighting fit- she wasn't a violent person, but she knew she could kick ass if she needed.

Walking along, she whistled to herself, mentally thinking up strategies for the next soccer game. She soon found the board, arriving just as Gina was writing her name up. Wondering who Gina was, she waited until the dark haired girl had walked away before signing her own name up. She looked at tha names- she had no idea who Gina, Marisol and Amy were, but she knew who the rest of them were. Guessing that Marisol must be Eric's sister or something, she walked away.

A NEW DAY-

Sheldon Lettiere looked at the photo of Queensland on the inside of his locker. He missed it so much, it had been two years since his family upped and moved to small town Ohio. It rained a lot in Lima, Australia was full of sunny days and golden beaches.

Having heard about Glee club through the grapevine, Sheldon had decided that he would sign his name up. He was never one to care about what people thought, he was a guy with an eccentric and unpredictable nature. Sheldon knew those fools would judge him, but he judged them for not keeping up with him. He loved to randomly burst into song.

"Hey Sheldon!"

He turned around to see Melissa Dawson, his girlfriend and fellow senior. Melissa couldn't sing for shit, but it didn't matter because she still squawked all the time. He couldn't see her joining Glee club.

"Hi Lissa," he gave her a quick kiss on the lips, "What's up?"

"Just looking at college stuff, fingers crossed for Northwestern right?"

Sheldon faked a smile. He hadn't told Melissa that he was applying for universities in Australia as well as America- he missed home and wanted to go study there. His girlfriend was under the impression that they would be applying to schools that weren't close together, but not too far away so they could visit one another. He knew he'd have to tell her at some point, especially if he got accepted at the University of Queensland, the one he planned to go to if he got in. It was just the waiting game. Melissa was usually a happy, carefree girl but even knew that she wouldn't like this.

"Of course babe," he shut his locker, "So I was thinking that I was going to join Glee club. It's only for a year, but might as well make it a good one."

"That sounds fun babe," Melissa enthused, "Amy Berkeley is joining too, one of the freshman Cheerios and I saw that Nick McCafferey is as well. I keep seeing Annie looking at the board like she wants to join, I heard her sing once at a party when she was drunk, she has a really beautiful voice so I hope she does. It's going to be so fun for you Shel; I can't wait to hear you perform."

"You're so sweet Lissa; it should have been you as cheer captain instead of that bitch Cheryl Sutton."

"Cheryl's not so bad," Melissa protested, "She can be a bit much, that's all."

"I know that you see the best in people but she's a Grade A Bitch, Lissa, sorry. I mean the way she talks to you guys and how she makes asshole comments about your weights. You're the best dancer in Cheerios, the nicest one and you have the best leadership potential. It should have been you. The only reason Cheryl got it was because Coach Coolidge likes bitchiness above actual talent.

Lissa shook her head. They arrived at the bulletin board, Sheldon writing his signature in one quick signature.

"There done, let's go."

The two left. A few hours later and Freddie arrived to look at the sheet for the last time before the auditions happened. Taking a deep breath, he looked at it.

Marisol Halstead

Eric Halstead

Gina Ford

Addison Daniels

Sheldon Lettiere

Freddie beamed- Sheldon was one of the most popular kids in school along with Nick, so hopefully the Pied Piper effect would come into play here. He was very surprised at Mr. Bad Boy Eric, but supposed that Marisol was his sister so maybe he was being supportive. Still, Freddie didn't hold much hope for Eric, who was forever in trouble. He vaguely knew Addison and of course was aware of Gina joining it. That made ten people, two less than what he needed- it was better than he could have ever imagined.

Smiling, he knew they were ready for auditions.

A NEW DAY-

The day was here. Apart from the jokey signatures with inappropriate names, Freddie felt quite confident that the actual sign ups would show. He had a pen and paper with him to write down the qualities of the auditionees- vocal range, kind of music, stage presence etc. There were some he had high hopes for, whilst he wondered about the capability of others. He wondered how he could tell anyone 'no', especially if only one person had a terrible voice. Perhaps some would be dancers, which would help. He imagined Amy, being a Cheerio, would be able to move.

Behind the curtain, the auditionees would gather.

Jason and Nick arrived together, the latter having come straight from football practice. Jason, ever the quiet one, was listening to his twin talk about some popular person stuff. Taking a seat on some sound stuff, they contemplated what they were about to do.

"Do you think this is going to lower our rep?" Nick wondered.

"I don't have a reputation to lower Nick, I'm the lowest of the low," Jason replied, "But thanks for doing this with me bro, we can be side by side like we were as kids. Maybe this is the start of a new chapter for us."

Nick gave a sad smile. Years ago they had been as thick as thieves and were still close, but they'd started splitting apart at school as early as kindergarten. Jason would sit alone in the art room whilst Nick was in the centre of the cafeteria among jocks and cheerleaders. One would stay home on Friday night; the other would be out at wild parties. They'd talk in the corridors and say hello when passing, but there just seemed to be a split. In truth, Nick had only joined up to support Jason. He may have considered it otherwise, but it was the main pull for him. He knew that this would make his brother even more of a target and he wasn't about to let that happen.

"I don't think anyone else will be doing any metal songs. Maybe Eric, but I just don't see Sheldon or Lori as the head banging type."

"Well we'll be the rock kings of this place," Jason grinned in response.

They talked for a little longer until the next person entered- Addison.

"Hey you guys," she grinned, "Ready for this?"

"I hope so," Nick nodded, "Come sit with us."

"Thanks," Addison smiled, hopping up on a stool.

Next up were Eric and Marisol who entered together. At the sight of Eric, the trio already present looked away slightly, showing how feared her was by everyone. Marisol was immediately disheartened by that, knowing that his reputation was going to make everyone stay away from her. In that moment, she felt anger. She didn't mind Eric joining, but him joining because of her just made her annoyed. Whilst she loved her big brother, he'd always been overprotective of her as she was the only sister that was younger than him. Having the school's biggest badass as her brother wasn't the best way to make friends.

Eric unintentionally walked them to the side, away from the others. Marisol sighed, but accepted it.

The others started to walk in. Lori and Robin came in together, chatting together about whatever songs they would be singing. Sheldon came in whistling loudly, giving everyone a cheery wave and immediately going over to talk to Nick, both being in the same friendship group.

Gina strolled in confidently, like the world was her oyster. Flipping her hair back, she went straight over to the group. Maybe she had lied to Freddie; she probably wouldn't have joined the Glee club before. She only joined to avoid getting a detention; she didn't want to get stuck after school in some small classroom when she could be protesting police brutality or lack of representation. Still, she supposed it would be fun and she did want to meet new people, being a freshman. Looking around, she wondered who she would become close to.

"Hi, I'm Gina," she smiled, sitting with them.

"Are you Cesca Ford's sister?" Sheldon asked.

"Yeah, I am," she nodded, "Big shoes to fill."

They continued talking; Marisol sat sadly aside with her brother. She wished that she could be included in the small talk, laughing at Sheldon's antics or admiring the tribal art on Jason's face. Instead Eric was circling her like a hawk, paying attention only to her. God she wished that Calleigh was still here, Eric had no one else but her now. Making friends had never really been Eric's forte because everyone was scared of him.

Amy arrived, rounding out those who had signed up. She shyly walked up to everyone, sitting on a stool.

"Hi, Amy isn't it?" Nick asked in an attempt to make her feel welcome.

"Yeah, well technically Amelia but everyone apart from my mom calls me that," she gave out a nervous laugh, "New girl to McKinley."

"Are you enjoying Cheerios?" Addison asked.

"Everyone's really nice," Amy agreed.

"Apart from Cheryl Sutton," Robin added, "Real bitch. It's ok Amy, you can say it, everyone here hates her as well. Scratch that, everyone in the school."

"She's ok," Amy weakly defended- she didn't want to cause any trouble, she knew that anything could get back to Cheryl. Being new to McKinley, Amy really couldn't afford to burn any bridges. Cheerios would make her popular, plus it would make her mother angry if she got kicked out. Hannah Berkeley had a thing about reputation.

Nobody was teasing enough to push Amy any further, so the conversation lapsed into something else.

The door opened again and Annie walked in, looking very nervous. She hadn't put her name down on the board, so everyone was surprised to see her. There was also the fact that she was one of the most popular girls in school, though it hadn't stopped Sheldon or Nick joining in. Still, it seemed that she had more to lose- nobody messed with the two guys because they had muscle on their side.

"Hi," she smiled nervously, clutching her bag close to her.

"Annie Osborne, secret superstar," Nick teased, "I never expected to see you here."

"Well I like to sing, Cheryl Sutton be damned," she gave Amy a side hug; "I'll make sure she doesn't bother you."

"Thanks Annie," the younger cheerleader smiled.

Jason felt his jaw nearly drop at the sight of his crush. She stood in front of him, sharing a joke with Sheldon and Nick. He felt a nervous feeling in his stomach, this was probably the closest that the two had ever been together. Seeing her sweet laugh and caramel hair made his heart stammer.

It took him a while to realise she was speaking to him.

"Oh sorry, what did you say?"

"I said you're Jason, right?"

"Yeah, that's me," he smiled.

"I don't think we've met before, I'm Annie."

"Yeah, I know who you are. No, I don't think so. So, erm...what's your favourite dinosaur?"

Jason internally smacked himself in the face- why the hell would he ask that? Not about why she joined Glee club, how Cheerios was or anything else, he asked what dinosaur she liked the most. God damn, he was so socially awkward, forgetting that he was probably the only fossil lover in the entire school. Now she was going to think he was a real loser.

"Erm, a t-rex I guess, never really thought about it," Annie shrugged lightly.

Smiling kindly at him, she then turned to join Addison and Gina's conversation. Jason wanted to hit himself for being so stupid at his first meeting with the girl he liked.

Just as they thought that they were about to be called in, another person entered.

Cameron Schneider was a sophomore, not a well known one either. A curly haired boy, he spent most of his free time doing drama and his nerd activities. Clutching a copy of some old fantasy book close to his chest, he wondered what the hell he was doing here. Cameron wasn't a popular kid and he imagined Glee club wouldn't help him out. Seeing two Cheerios and a few jocks lifted his spirits a little, maybe it wouldn't be as uncool as he thought.

"Hi," he waved nervously.

As he went over to the group, he clapped eyes on Marisol. His heart raced a little, she was an extremely pretty girl. Finding his face, he sent a slight smile in her direction. To his delight Marisol smiled back, hiding a slight wave from her brother. Unfortunately for them both, Eric saw the two exchanging glances and sent the coldest possible glance at Cameron. The younger boy shrank into himself and went closer to the big group.

Suddenly- "ROBIN CERVANTES."

Robin jumped out of his skin, nearly falling off of the chair.

"I'll tell Mr. McCall you guys are here," he told Annie and Cameron before dashing off onto the front of the stage.

"Hi Robin," Freddie smiled at him, "Welcome to auditions."

"Thanks," Robin smiled at him, "Erm, there's a couple more people here that didn't sign up but want to audition."

"Right, thanks," Freddie picked up his pen, "Who are they?"

"Annie Osborne and Cameron...Cameron...Cameron Schneider, that's it. Just those two."

"Thanks for letting me know, what will you be singing today?"

"I will be singing Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac."

"Ok, whenever you're ready."

Robin tapped to the beat before starting into the microphone.

Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night and wouldn't you love to love her?

Takes to the sky like a bird in flight and who will be her lover?

Freddie enjoyed his performance. Robin had a really sweet voice, able to hit high notes even though the song didn't require all too many. He was excited to have a countertenor in the group.

Robin Cervantes: Countertenor, soulful, stylish

"Thank you Robin," he applauded, "Really nice. Can you call Jason McCafferey in please?"

"Sure thing sir," Robin went off the stage, Jason walking in only moments later. He immediately made himself known with the tribal paint, dark hair and emo attire.

"Hi Jason," Freddie smiled, "What are you going to be singing for me today?"

"Bullet for My Valentine, Your Betrayal."

"Great, let's hear it."

Am I going insane? My blood is boiling inside of my veins

An evil feeling attacks (attacks), my body's shaking, there's no turning back

Freddie scribbled down on his pad- Jason McCafferey: Strong voice, heavy metal, alternative

"Great job," he told Jason, "Really great. Can you please send your brother in?"

Jason nodded; slightly pumped at the appraisal- most people pushed him down for being a loser, at least Mr. McCall seemed to appreciate him. Nick followed, almost the total opposite to his brother in every way but their nearly identical face.

"Hi Nick, thanks for coming. What are you performing for me today?"

"I will be singing Hero by Skillet."

"Great, let's hear it."

Tapping his head to the beat he started:

I'm just a step away; I'm just a breath away

Losin' my faith, we're fallin' off the edge today

Nick McCafferey: Metal voice, cool kid, popular

"Thank you Nick, great stuff- you and your brother have really similar voices, have you noticed that? Anyway, can you please send Lori King in please?"

"Yes sir," Nick did a salute, heading out backstage.

"You did a great job," Annie smiled at him.

"Well shucks, thanks Osborne- Lori, ready for you," Nick grinned, putting a loose arm around her. Jason felt his heart sink at the sight of it, knowing that his twin had way more of a chance with the cheerleader than he did. He could see the smile Nick had on his face when Annie complimented him.

Lori went out, her short hair currently dyed navy.

"Hi Mr. McCall," she smiled.

"Hello Lori, what have you got for me?"

"I'll be singing Who Knew? By Pink."

"Awesome, let's go."

Lori nodded, listening to the song start.

You took my hand; you showed me how you'd promise me you'd be around

Uh huh, that's right

Freddie loved her voice; it was raw and full of passionate energy.

Lori King- Raw, very passionate, a bit indie

"Thank you Lori, I really liked it. Can you send Amy Berkeley in now please?"

Lori nodded, fetching Amy. The young Cheerio felt immediate nerves as she arrived on the stage. She was so used to being in front of people, performing, but that was when she was wearing a sparkly costume, doing a pose and answering why she loved America. This was different to her, new territory- moving from New Orleans to small town Lima was quite a shock. Amy had confidence in her own singing, barely, but would Mr. McCall?

"Hello Amy, what will you be singing for me today?"

"Hi Mr. M, I'll be singing Innocence by Avril Lavigne."

Taking a deep breath, she took a start.

Waking up I see that everything is ok the first time in my life and it's so great

Slowing down I look around and I am so amazed, I think about the little things that make life great

Freddie scribbled down more. Amy Berkeley- sweet, alto, a little nervous.

"Was that ok?" Amy asked nervously, hands knotted together.

"It was great Amy; don't worry," he assured her gently, "Can you please send Marisol Halstead in now?"

Amy called her fellow freshman in. As Marisol passed Cameron, he looked at her.

"Break a leg," he told her.

"Thanks," she smiled shyly, tucking a hair behind her ear.

Marisol entered. Freddie would not have guessed that she was Eric Halstead's sister if it wasn't for him knowing for sure, they were as different as the McCafferey twins- even more different because they didn't look too alike. Whilst he was all big and gruff with leather jackets and a mean exterior, she was tiny with a sweet smile on her face and look of innocence.

"Hi Marisol, what have you got me for me today?"

"Fearless by Taylor Swift," she smiled sweetly.

"Ok, let's go."

There's somethin' bout the way the street looks when it's just rained

There's a glow off the pavement, walk me to the car

Marisol Halstead- sweet, soft and gentle voice, pleasant stage presence

"That was wonderful, thank you Marisol. I'm ready for your brother now please."

Marisol nodded.

"Eric, you're up," she told him when she arrived back.

"Ok," he got up, "You did great sis."

"Thanks."

He death glared Cameron as he walked past, sauntering onto the stage with a confident swagger.

"Hi Eric, what have you got for me today?"

"I'll be singing Breakeven by The Script."

"Ok, let's see what you've got."

I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing, praying to a God I barely believe in

'Cause I got time while she got freedom, 'cause when a heart breaks no it don't break even

Eric Halstead: Strong voice, powerful stage presence, a little scary

"Awesome job Eric, can you send Gina Ford in for me please?"

Gina strolled on, the picture of confidence.

"Hi Mr. M," she smirked.

"Hello Gina," Freddie rolled his eyes, "What are you singing today?"

"A Gladys Knight classic with If I Were Your Woman."

If I were your woman and you were my man

You'd have no other woman; you'd be as weak as a lamb

Freddie smiled as he wrote. Gina Ford- Powerful, confident, amazing stage presence

"So did I uphold my end of the bargain Mr. M?" Gina asked after she'd finished her song.

"It was excellent Gina; now go get Addison Daniels for me before I change my mind."

"Anything for you, kind sir," Gina did a deep bow, calling Addison as she exited the stage.

"Hi Addison, welcome to auditions. What will you be singing for me today?"

"I'll be singing People Like Us by Kelly Clarkson."

"Fab, let's hear it."

Hey everybody loses it; everyone wants to throw it away sometimes

And hey yeah, I know what you're going through

Addison Daniels- Self-assured, pop voice, optimistic

"Amazing Addison, can you call Sheldon Lettiere for me please?"

Addison nodded, bouncing off stage. Sheldon came on, clad in his usual letterman jacket, almost skipping onto the front. A happy smile came on his face, something that Freddie was used to seeing on the enthusiastic Australian.

"Hi Sheldon, what have you got?"

"Hey sir, I'll be singing Come A Little Bit Closer by Jay and the Americans."

On a little café on the other side of the border,

She was just sitting there givin' me looks that made my mouth water

Sheldon did little moves with his dance, rocking back and forth, shaking his body.

Freddie laughed slightly as he looked at his notepad. Sheldon Lettiere- Very confident, eccentric, strong voice.

"Amazing Sheldon, really fun! Ok, can you send Annie Osborne in next please?"

Sheldon nodded. Annie arrived on stage soon after, looking a little green with nerves. She avoided eye contact as though she had done something bad, standing in front of the microphone silently.

"Hey Annie, welcome to auditions. I didn't expect to see you here."

"Is it ok that I didn't sign up earlier?" she asked, eyes wide, "I was just really unsure and I decided at the last minute that I wanted to join up."

"No problem Annie, I'm happy to have any sign ups. What will you sing today?"

"Angel by Madonna."

"Great, let's hear it."

Why am I standing on a cloud whenever you're around?

And my sadness disappears every time you are near.

Freddie looked down at the pad. Annie Osborne- Pop voice, graceful, shyer than I expected

"Lovely stuff Annie, really lovely. Can you please send Cameron Schneider in?"

Annie nodded quietly, getting Cameron in. The curly haired boy entered the room, not confident but not too shy either.

"Hi Cameron, are you the last one?"

"Yes Mr. McCall, I am."

"Awesome, what are you performing today?"

"I will be singing You Are the Reason by Calum Scott."

"Fantastic, let's get on with it."

There goes my heart beating, cause you are the reason I'm losing sleep

Please come back now

Cameron Schneider- Shy, solid voice, earnest performance.

"Awesome job Cameron. Can you please tell everyone I'll have the list up tomorrow? We're done for the night now."

"Of course sir, see you later."

Cameron walked back off stage to where everyone was settled.

"Mr. McCall said he'll post the list tomorrow, we can all go home now."

Everyone walked off in their separate groups. Eric and Marisol were out of the door first, the brother's arm around his sister. He continued to glare at Cameron until he left, not having to verbally tell him to back off. Nick, Sheldon, Annie and Amy walked together, Jason tagging along awkwardly behind them. Cameron, Addison and Robin were talking about stuff, leaving Lori and Gina to walk away together.

Freddie scooped up his stuff, turning the light off. Behind him, two people lurked separately in the shadows. Andi had been far too anxious to sign up, just simply watching to see if she could pluck up the courage to watch. Not far down as Jackson Carmichael, a tall and imposing freshman. He had also been too shy to audition. Both, without knowing the other was there, slipped away into the shadows.

The question was would they join?

Hi guys, I hope that you enjoyed the chapter!
