"This song is for a very special girl, Gabriella if you're still out there, I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I love you." Troy said looking in the crowd for Gabi but he couldn't see her.
"This is a song I wrote and it's called Breathe." Troy said and started playing his guitar.

When Gabi heard these lyrics she started to cry harder than she was after her song.

When Troy finished the song Gabi could clearly see the tear stains on his cheeks. She couldn't help herself so she ran up on stage and kissed him passionately. He was taken aback at first but then he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her back.
When they pulled apart Troy rested his forehead on hers and Gabi whispered. "We really need to talk" and Troy nodded in agreement.
So they decided to go to the beach to talk and before she left Gabi told Taylor and Sharpay her plans and they said that they would meet her back at her dorm.
With Gabi and Troy on the Beach
"Troy, why did you come here?" Gabi asked with confusion and a little bit of anger in her voice.
"I came because I wanted you to know that I love and miss you so much. And I came to see if you would take me back, and if you don't then I will understand and I will leave and I will never come back or bother you again." Troy said with sadness in his voice.
"Troy, I still love you, but what you did hurt me really bad. I think I just need more time without you. I mean you cheated on me!"
"I know, and I'm really sorry."
"With my best friend of all people." Gabriella exclaimed with the interruption from Troy.
"Gabi I really want us to work I want to be with you just like it was before, we can go back to the way things were and just forget the bad things in the past because they're in the past." Troy said.
"Troy, I know you can just forget everything that has happened in the past but I can't. I'm sorry" With that she gave him a kiss on the cheek and started walking away.
"Why do you keep doing this huh? Why do you keep saying you're sorry and then just keep walking away? What are you running from? I'm here, for you. I drove all this way to tell you I love you in person and ask to get back together and you just shoot me down and say you're sorry, and you think that's ok?" Troy was almost yelling because he was upset and confused all at once.
"Troy, don't even try to turn this around on me! I'm not the one who cheated, you are! So I think that I have the right to reject you and then say sorry after. I love you but I need more than a couple of weeks to sort everything out. I just need time to sort out my emotions, and get my shit together. We just broke up and I know you realize what you did was completely and utterly stupid but I'm not just going to take you back the second you tell me that you love me okay. Just leave okay, just leave." And with those last words of that fight she walked away, and didn't turn back.
