ok so I tried to put this up as quickly as possible. Which I seem to have accomplished. *self high-five* anyway, this is the first time I've ever wrote for Sheldon or Amy so tell me what you think in the reviews. And speaking of reviews thanks for them on this and keep them coming. And thanks for the follows and favorites. (I think that's what it's called) but anyway thanks for supporting the story. And remember it all started with a Big Bang.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Big Bang theory. Nor will I every, sadly, that all belongs to CBS, and chuck Lorre.

Knock, knock, knock, "Amy."

Knock, knock, knock, "Amy."

Knock, knock, knock, "Amy."

Sheldon had walked over to Amy's so they could go to Howard and Bernadette's Christmas party. He asked if he could go with Leonard and Penny originally but realizing that they might be late, because of the baby, made him change his mind. So instead he asked Amy if she would take him. 'Of course I will, I am your girlfriend after all.' She answered, he called her earlier on the day of the party to make sure if she was capable. She was, but he just had to walk or take a bus to Amy's because she was closer to them than he was. Sheldon put up at fight at first but then caved in. He needed the exercise anyway.

Now as he stood at her apartment door holding banana bread in one hand and his phone in the other, he had just finished a call with Amy no more than ten minutes ago. Waiting for her to open the door he realized that they were going to be late.

Just as he raised his right hand to knock on the door again Amy opened it. "Sheldon, how many times have I told you this is a sign of OCD." She looked at him, he was now standing in the door frame of her apartment.

"Counting this instant," he thought for a second, "two times." He smiled, knowing that he was right, he's always right.

"Alright," she just rolled her eyes, "come in." Amy said gesturing to her apartment.

Sheldon walked into her apartment, it still had a lingering smell of tobacco, from Rickey. That was a long time ago though, why did it still smell bad, he wondered. He sat down on the couch, leaning against the afghan. For some reason it looked strangely familiar, Amy once told him it was a replica of one from a tv show she liked to watch in the nineties. He'd probably watched that show with Amy before, but he was not sure.

"Thank you for being so welcoming," Sheldon smiled, a genuine one. "Why didn't you just come and get me from my apartment?" He glanced at her.

"Sheldon," Amy started as she walked over to her computer to check her email. "I told you on the phone when you were walking here that I live closer to Howard and Bernadette. Remember?"

Sheldon thought about this for a moment calculating the results in his head. According to his results from his apartment he was twenty miles away from them but from Amy's they were eighteen miles away. She was right but only by two miles.

"Yes I remember. I do have an eidetic memory and an IQ of an 187." He paused giving her a long look of disappointment. "I've only said it a thousand times." Sheldon said the last part mocking Amy's voice in the process. Then added, "that was a lie, I've only said it three times counting this instance."

She just rolled her eyes, again, "Sheldon I find it humorous when you say something that you know is a lie but decide to tell me any way." She gave a chuckle then continued, "and then say 'that's a lie.'" Amy said in a mock voice.

Sheldon hated it when she mocked him, "stop it…, stop it, stop it." He shook his head with each 'stop it'. Why did she find it amusing to mock him?

"All right I will stop." Amy tried to cover her smile with her hand, Sheldon gave her a look. "No I really will. She composed herself, "now can you give me a couple of minutes so I can get ready for the party?"

"I came here under the assumption that you were ready."

"I am not ready because you called me three times interrupting me." She gave him a glance, "so now I'm going to be wasting valuable time that we could have been traveling on getting ready."

Sheldon twitched, he hated when he was late to any thing. And now being told by his girlfriend that he was going to be late, was like getting a dagger threw his heart.

Sheldon planed out every day according to what he needed to do to make his day as efficient as possible. He planed all of his events right down to the time he evacuated his boughs. And today it was all for nothing.

"Sheldon calm down. I will try and get done as fast as possible, so we can get there on time. Okay?" She headed off into the bedroom, closing the door behind her.

He shouted after her, "it's hard to calm down when you throw around the word late like it's hello." He paused taking in a deep breath, "late is never a good word for me to hear. Do you not understand how I work?" Sheldon was ranting on and on, she was only half listening, "I plan out every part of my life so I don't have to hear words like late thrown around. I think you should have known this, Amy Farrah Fowler, we've only been together for six years now."

"Yeah, yeah," Amy said she stopped listening after, 'part of my day'. Amy knew she was angering Sheldon but she had to get done before all hell broke lose. But hadn't it all ready?

Sheldon was taken aback for a moment, had they really been together for six years. He calculated for a second, moving his finger in the air to do the math. Yup, six years and eight months exactly. Wow, that was a very long time and they had been dating for five years.

Sheldon remembered when Howard and raj told him that he was signed up for online dating and that they had someone to meet him, Amy Farrah Fowler. The theoretical physicist thought it was complete hokum. The notion of having a girl friend baffled him back in the day but now, he could barely live without her. He needed her just as much as she needed him. Everyone thought he made up the relationship agreement just for his own benefit but it really was for benefit too. She just did not realize it.

Amy yelled at him once because he was just going to leave her when she was sick. Sheldon stayed though because he realized that Amy needed to be taken care of. Even when she was faking being sick he still took care of her. He later found out that she faked and decided to punish Amy for her actions by spanking her, like how he was punished when he was little. Amy enjoyed it but all he thought of it was a fair punishment for lying to him. When Sheldon say Amy enjoying it he spanked her harder.

When Sheldon was drunk in thanksgiving two years ago, he slapped his girlfriend on the butt and that time he realized it made her happy.

Sheldon kept replying the moment they met for the first time in his head. He was explaining to Howard and raj what he was going to do when they were proved wrong.

When Amy walked in saying, "excuse me, I'm Amy Farrah Fowler. You're Sheldon Copper." She approached Sheldon as if she knew him all her life.

"Hello, Amy Farrah Fowler." He paused looking at her, "I'm sorry to inform you that you have been taken in by unsupportable mathematics designed to prey on the gullible and lonely." He looked at Howard, "additionally, I'm being blackmailed with a hidden dirty sock." Sheldon looked at raj, cursing his name in his mind.

Amy gave him a funny look, "if that was slang, I'm unfamiliar with it. If it was literal, I share your aversion to soiled hosiery." She looked Sheldon up and down, "in any case, I'm here because my mother and I have agreed end that I will date at least once a year."

Sheldon made a noise, almost sounding rude but not intending to be. "Interesting. My mother and I have the same agreement about church."

"I don't object to the concept of a deity, but I'm baffled by the notion of one that takes attendance." Amy tilted her head.

"Well, then you might want to avoid east Texas." At one point the theoretical physicist wondered where the hidden cameras were because this was not happening. But he could hear and feel his pulse so he knew it was real.

"Noted. Now, before this goes any further, you should know that all forms of physical contact up to and including coitus are off the table."

Sheldon smiled, he really liked this girl, "may I buy you a beverage?"

"Tepid water, please." She smiled too. Sheldon heard Howard say something but her was not really paying attention to him.

Before that day, month and years after he never thought that interaction would come to what it has formed to today, love. He never thought he was capable of loving another human being as much as he loved her.

But that day all he though of it as a silly little joke that was never going to work.

"Sheldon," Amy said becoming impatient, "I'm ready to go." She was standing by the open door, looking at him, taping her foot.

He snapped back into reality, "ok let's go." Sheldon got up off the couch and walked out the front door closing it behind him. He smiled.

Thanks for reading. And remember reviews are greatly appreciated. :)
