"I'll be right back." Ron told her, and rushed up to his room. He picked up some quidditch magazines and ran back downstairs, sitting back on couch beside her.
He held up one of the magazines and asked, "Want to look at it?"
"What?" Emily asked, startled, thinking he was talking about something totally different.
"The magazine. Want to look at it?" He asked. She just noticed he was holding up a magazine.
She sighed and said, "Sure."
She took the magazine and opened it. About half way through, she yawned, tired from the long ride earlier that day. She fell asleep a few minutes later.
After reading a few of the magazines, Ron put them down on the coffee table in front of the couch, and looked over at Emily; she was asleep. He just noticed that she had her head on his shoulder.
She looks so beautiful, he thought, sitting there for a minute, just staring at her.
He was thinking about getting up and going to his dormitory and leaving the couch to her, but he didn't want to wake her. And then there was the fact that the girl he liked, even though he had just met her hours before, was laying on him. He just sat back and eventually fell asleep.
When Harry and Hermione walked in the common room after staying in the library, which Harry found to be quite boring, though Hermione thoroughly enjoyed it, saw Emily and Ron asleep together on the couch; her head was on his shoulder and his head was on top of hers. Seeing this made staying in the library for hours worth it.
"Don't they just look so cute together?" Hermione whispered, trying not to wake them. She said it more as a statement than a question.
"Yeah, they do." Harry said. "But I wouldn't put it in those words." He joked. They both laughed and went up to their dorms.
------The 6th year guys' dorm in the morning-------
As Harry was changing into some jeans and a plain black shirt with an orange long sleeve shirt underneath, Seamus yelled across the room, "Where's Ron?" They both looked at Ron's empty bed, where he would usually still be.
"I guess he's downstairs." Harry said, not saying too much.
"You mean he's still down there with that girl?" Seamus asked.
"What?" Harry said, not knowing that they knew.
"Oh yeah, we saw them last night on the way to the dorm." He said.
"Go Ron!" Dean yelled from the bathroom, apparently hearing the conversation.
"Shhh!" Harry yelled.
------Back downstairs in the common room------
Ron suddenly woke up, wondering where he was; the room was fairly dark and no one else was around. He then remembered that he was down in the common room. He looked to his side to see that Emily was still laying on him, asleep, though she had moved her head from his shoulder to his stomach. He slowly sat up.
Emily moved her head a bit to get comfortable and placed her hands more tightly on his stomach- which made Ron's eye's widen- all the while making a 'Mmm' sound that sort of turned him on; she apparently thought he was a pillow or something.
She suddenly opened her eyes and looked up to see what she was laying on, only to find it was Ron. He was still looking down at her. She quickly jumped up, scaring him and making him jump up also.
"Right..." He said uncomfortably.
"Um..." She started, not looking at him, and then ran up to her room. With the thought of taking a shower completely out of her mind, she opened her suitcase and threw out all of her clothes, trying to find something to find something to wear. This scared her roommates.
"So, where were you?" Hermione asked, obviously knowing, having seen them, but didn't want to say anything.
"She slept with Ron Weasley on the couch last night," Parvati said, giggling. Hermione smiled, while Emily's cheeks turned the color of Ron's hair.
"We just fell asleep like that. We were reading quidditch magazines," she told them.
"Right," Lavender said, stepping into the conversation.
"You don't have to believe me, but that's what really happened" She said matter-of-factly.
"Good, because we don't," Parvati said, still giggling.
"Okay, you have to believe me." Emily pleaded, changing her mind. They just kept on smiling.
She ignored them and went back to picking out clothes. She put on some low-rise jeans, her green and white Blink 182 shirt, and her green flip-flops. This time she just put her hair up in a messy bun and applied a light coating of mascara.
She then followed Hermione down the steps into the common room to find Harry and Ron waiting for them. She blushed when he looked at her. She looked at what he was wearing: loose jeans and a green shirt. What a coincident.
They walked down to the Great Hall for breakfast; Emily walking on Hermione's left side and Ron walking on Harry's right. Once inside and at the Gryffindor table, Emily sat down beside Hermione, and Ron sat down across from her; Harry across from Hermione.
They just got their schedules, and were looking over them. When the food appeared, she folded hers up and put it in her pocket, put some pancakes and strawberries on her plate, and began eating.
"Can you pass the pumpkin juice?" Ron asked.
It was in front of her. Great. She pushed it towards him, not even looking up, and accidentally knocked it over, spilling it all over his lap, making him jumped up in surprise.
"Sorry!" she said, standing up.
She grabbed a napkin and started dabbing his pants. He
looked up at her with wide eyes.
When she noticed what part of his
pants she was dabbing, she quickly threw the napkin down.
"Sorry!" she said again, blushing.
By this time people were starting to look; they could hear Malfoy snickering all the way from the Slytherin table. Ron ran out of the Great Hall and Emily ran after him. He finally stopped when they had reached the common room.
"I'm so sorry for…both things!" she said between breaths. They both blushed.
"I can help you if you want," she said, following him up to his dorm.
"Oh…never mind." she mumbled, and they both blushed again.
She stood beside him when he went
over to his dresser and got some dry clothes out.
Emily blushed
when she saw him take out boxers.
"I'm going to have to take another shower now," he said, and walked into the bathroom with his dry clothes. He turned on the shower, undressed and got in. In doing so, Emily sat down on his bed, playing with her hands; it was one of her nervous habits.
After a few minutes of sitting there, she stood up and walked over to the bathroom, checking to see if the door was unlocked. It was. She opened the door, making sure she closed it afterwards, so she wouldn't let cold air in. She walked over to the toilet and sat down, apparently putting the lid down before sitting.
"Again, I'm really sorry," she told him.
"It's okay," he said nervously from behind the maroon shower curtain.
"Just to tell you, I'm really not usually like this." she started. "It's just because of last night, and then the thing is…the thing…the thing is…"
"What's the thing?"
She was trying to figure out if she should tell him or not. After a minute of thinking, she finally decided not to yet.
"Uh, nothing, never mind," she told him.
Ron turned off the shower. He grabbed a towel and tied it around his waist before pulling the curtain open and stepping out. She couldn't help but look.
"Um, do you mind?" He asked shyly, looking at the floor. She was pulled out of the trance at his words and snapped her head up to meet his eyes.
"Oh, not at all. Sorry." She jumped up and walked over to his bed.
After a few minutes, he walked out in the green shirt he was wearing earlier and his boxers.
Oh my god, She thought, looking at him.
"The pants got wet in there…" he said nervously, and threw them down on the floor. He picked out another pair and put them on. She knew she shouldn't have watched, even though she couldn't see anything, but she couldn't help it.
"Yeah, of course," she replied, not really listening to what he was saying. She was to buys staring at him.
He gave her a weird look, and she was pulled out of her thoughts. She looked at her watch.
"Crap, we're way late for class!" Emily said. They ran down seven flights of stairs to the dungeons.
