Hey! Remember me? I know, it's been a LONG time since updated a chappie or wrote a new story. I've been rping a lot and not a lot of updating. :( But at you know I'm not dead. I felt like continuing this one because I really like the Ginga series and the other reason is because I had wrote a third chappie, but my dad stepped on the charger cord and broke it and the computer has no battery in it (Another reason why I haven't been updating.). I'm using a new laptop at this moment to rewrite the third chappie. (Mostly because I couldn't remember it and the chappie was terrible.)
Yoshi and Ryu are heading to a boat heading to the Shinagawa harbor in Japan with two new friends, Hitoshi and Kenya. Will the team make there in time?
Chapter 3: Friend and Foe Alike
Hitoshi and Kenya were leading the way to the boat that was destined to go to the harbor in Japan with Yoshi and Ryu not far behind. They had been running the whole way so they wouldn't miss the boat in two days. The huskies stopped at a street and saw the boats docked.
"We're here and we're not too late either." Hitoshi said.
Ryu looked over and said, "Do you know which one it is?"
"Of course. It's the one on the far right." Hitoshi said.
They looked over at a large transportation boat carrying yachts.
Ryu didn't look satisfied, but Yoshi said, "That will do. Let's go."
The group ran up to the fence and hid behind it.
"If we wanna get on that boat, we need to be stealthy." Hitoshi said looking over at the humans near their destinated boat
"I've got an idea." Ryu said walking away from the group and came back with a rock in his mouth.
He flung the rock at forklift window and broke it catching the attention of some of the humans.
"Go!" he said.
The four snuck past them and boarded the boat avoid getting caught. They hid behind some wooden crates and relaxed.
"We should be safe here without anyone spotting us." Kenya said.
"If it weren't for you two, I don't know what I wouldn't have done." Yoshi thanked the two huskies.
"Don't mention it, Yoshi." Hitoshi said.
"Quiet! I hear someone coming." Ryu said.
They all remained still until a brown and white Jack Russell Terrier came around the corner sniffing until he spotted them.
"I knew there were dogs on here! Intruders, Mar-" his voice was cut off when Ryu grabbed him by the neck with his fangs.
"Say a word and you're done for." Ryu threatened.
The dog was frightened by Ryu until he saw a figure standing on top of the crates.
"What are you doing with Piq?" the figure said.
The other dogs looked up to see the figure who jumped down and smacked Ryu in the face releasing the dog. The dog ran to the figure's side revealing it to be a black Kai Ken with two scars on its left eye and a few scars on its body.
"Who are you?" Ryu growled.
"I should be asking you that. It's quite rude to ask a lady first I hear." she said.
Yoshi stepped up and said, "I am Yoshi and these are my friends, Ryu, Hitoshi, and Kenya. Are you you also trying to get a ride on here?"
She chuckled a bit and said, "Nope. My owner drives this boat. Wherever he goes, me and Piq go and you're trespassing."
"But we have to get Yoshi to his owner. He's really desperate." Hitoshi said.
The Kai Ken didn't say anything.
"So can't you please just let us slide? I haven't seen him for two months and I really want to see him. I miss him." Yoshi said begging
"Well?" Piq said.
She closed her eyes for a second then opened them and nodded.
"Alright, you can ride. Name's Marine and this is Piq." she said.
"Thank you, Marine-san and Piq-san." Yoshi thanked.
"No need for thanks. I sometimes let dogs board on here if they don't attack or have an attitude." she said looking at Ryu who looked away.
Piq's ears perked up and said, "Marine, the boss is coming."
"Who's the boss?" Kenya asked.
"The leader of the dogs who guard the boats. He always checks up on me because I let dogs ride on the boats which is against the rules. Sometimes he finds them and sometimes he doesn't." she said.
"What happens if he does?" Ryu said sounding like it was a challenge.
"He'll fight you if you refuse maybe to the death or beat you and throw you overboard. Sometimes he beats me once." she said.
"Well, I'll teach him a lesson or two." Ryu said and tried to walk away, but Marine stopped him.
"No, let me handle this." she said calmly.
"And why so?" Ryu asked.
She smirked and said, "Because my way is a lot easier than your's."
"Marine!" a gruff voice called out.
The Kai Ken went up towards a Dogo Argentino.
"Don't worry about Marine. She'll be fine. Follow me where it's safer." Piq said leading the way.
Yoshi looked at Marine and followed Piq.
"You rang, Grant-san?" she said.
"Don't get cocky with me, Marine. You know what I'm here for before you leave." Grant said.
"And that is?" she said acting like she doesn't know.
He narrowed his eyes at her and said, "To check if you have any 'visitors.'" he said.
"Oh, right. Take your time. Look around." she said and sat in her spot.
Grant began looking around for any dogs on this boat, but little did he know that she had a secret place to hide Yoshi and the gang.
Meanwhile, Piq was leading the dogs to a secret hiding spot.
"So who is that dog?" Hitoshi asked Piq.
"That's Grant. He's the leader of the guard dogs and the strongest. I heard he took out a bear by biting its neck off." Piq said.
"He sounds strong." Yoshi said.
"Yeah." Piq said.
As the dogs were sneaking their way to where Piq was leading them, Hitoshi tripped over a elastic band that holding one of the yachts causing it to break from the band. The yacht almost collided with another one, but Ryu placed a metal board between the two from colliding.
"Nice save." Piq said impressed.
"No problem." Ryu said.
Kenya glared at Hitoshi and said, "Hitoshi, you almost got us caught!"
"It's not my fault they placed things where they're not suppose to be!" Hitoshi snapped.
"Quit arguing and let's keep moving." Ryu said.
Yoshi nodded and turned around to see Grant in front of him with Piq in his mouth.
"So? No visitors, hmm, Piq?" Grant asked him and threw him at Marine then turned his attention to Yoshi and the gang.
"Hey! That's not nice!" Yoshi said and bit his leg.
Grant grabbed Yoshi by the head with his mouth and threw him at Hitoshi.
"It will be worst the next you do it. Now get off!" Grant growled.
"Like we would." Ryu said.
"I have orders and I follow them even with force. Get off for the last time." Grant said taking a step forward.
Ryu took no hesitation and lunged at the dog's throat only to be pinned down by Grant.
"I guess it's brute force then." Grant said and smashed Ryu into a metal pole.
Ryu wasn't gonna give up and kicked Grant in the chest releasing him. Ryu then jumped over Grant and bit him by the neck.
The Dogo Argentino chuckled a bit and said, "That tickles."
Ryu's eyes widened as Grant threw him off.
"Ryu! I'm coming!" Yoshi said rushing to him.
The German Shepherd looked over and said, "Ryu, get back!"
Grant turned to see the pup coming towards them.
"Take this!" Yoshi shouted and jumped up cutting Grant's cheek with his fangs.
Everybody was shocked when they saw the two cuts on Grant even Ryu. Grant stood there and looked down to see his own blood dripping from him and angrily turned to Yoshi.
"You little brat!" Grant growled and lunged at Yoshi.
He grabbed the pup and threw him at the railing causing Yoshi to fall overboard.
"Yoshi!" his friends shouted and ran over to where he fell only to be beaten up by Grant.
"R-Ryu." a voice said from over the edge.
Grant looked over and gasped to see Yoshi hanging onto a hanging rope.
"You're still alive!? I'll make sure of that." Grant said and began chewing the rope.
"You prick! Picking on a puppy! Fight me instead!" Hitoshi said and bit Grant's back leg only to be kicked in the face by his other back leg.
Before the rope could snap, he heard a engine noise and turned to see a crane hook coming towards him knocking him in the water.
Everybody turned to see Marine inside a crane truck along with Piq.
"Well don't just stand there gawking, help your friend." Marine said.
Ryu and Hitoshi began pulling Yoshi up on the boat. After they pulled him up, Marine and Piq came over to the group.
"Is everyone alright?" she asked.
"Yeah, thanks to you." Kenya said.
"It was nothing." she said.
"No, it was. Thank you, Marine-san and Piq-san." Yoshi thanked bowing.
Marine gave a little smile and said, "Anytime."
"Yoshi, you're hurt." Hitoshi said noticing a bruise on his back.
"It will probably go away." Yoshi said.
Ryu looked at Yoshi and said, "That was very careless of you, Yoshi. Why would you do it?"
Yoshi turned to him and said, "Because you needed my help. I want to help those in need."
Ryu stayed quiet for a second and then nodded.
"MARINE!" a voice shouted.
The group looked over to see Grant stranded in the water. The Kai Ken turned to get something.
"So what do we do with him?" Kenya asked.
"I know." Marine said coming back with a live saver and threw at Grant.
"Sorry, Grant-san. I didn't know the crane would do that." she said jokingly.
The gang heard the boat's horn go off and the boat began moving.
"Looks like we're heading off." Kenya said.
"Marine? Piq?" a voice called out.
"Who's that?" Yoshi asked.
Marine turned to him and said, "That's our owner. He must be wondering where we are. I'll be back in a few minutes. You guys just sit back and enjoy the ride."
"Thank you." Yoshi said.
Marine nodded and headed off with Piq to their owner.
Yoshi looked over to see their owner greeting them by petting them on the head and went to the main control with him.
"What is it?" Ryu asked him.
Yoshi turned and said with a smile, "Seeing them with their human reminds me of mine."
"We'll get there soon, kid." Ryu ensured him and laid down.
Yoshi looked up at the skies and thought, "I'll see you soon too, Nobuyuki."
Yoshi and his friends have started travelling overseas with a help from Marine and Piq. What will await them in China?
I don't know about you guys, but this was my least favorite chappie (so far.) It will probably get better as time goes on. Plus, I'm drawing a picture cover for this story soon. ;)
