Chapter 3: Island Tour

The Ocean Tornado soon pulled up to Southern Island. Blaze and Marine start to walk off the ship while Tangle stood at the edge of the ramp looking over at the island.

"Wow. This is more beautiful than Angel Island back in my world."

Marine goes up to Tangle and walks her to the boardwalk. "Tangle, welcome to my home. Windmill Village." She brings her along showing her around the village.

Blaze follows behind them as Tangle puts her tail around her shoulder. "This is where Sonic and I stayed during our struggles with Captain Whisker. It was like a base of operations for Tails to whip up the vehicles we… Tangle?" She looks and notice she's gone.

"Woo-hoo!" Tangle was scaling the statue of Sonic that had been long erected on the island. "I knew you and Sonic were friends already, but you have a statue of him too! That's awesome!"

Marine laughs a bit. "Not only that, but look at the mountain side. We 'ad his face carved into it."

"I never knew he was a hero in both worlds to this extent."

Blaze turns away from then scratching behind her head. "It is common for my people to commend the actions of those who assist us."

"Huh? What do you mean your people?"

"My kingdom. I am the princess of this region's kingdom."

Tangle suddenly remembers this from when they first met in her own world. "Oh yeah! Can we see the kingdom?"

"I would show you, but the queen won't just let anyone…" Her statement is cut off as enemy fire ended up cutting through the girls all of a sudden.

Marine looks around for any enemies. "Up there!" She points towards a flying robot wasp.

Tangle runs over to Blaze. "Man, this is just like that bee enemy back in your world."

"How did you two end up taking it down?"

Blaze looks at Tangle's tail which was still latched to the statue. "A slingshot."

Tangle gasps with excitement. "Sweet! Let's give it another shot!" She then stretches her tail enough letting Blaze and Marine hop on.

"Marine, hold on tight. Once we get high enough, I'm going to launch you on board."

Marine holds onto Blaze tightly as then begin pulling each other back on Tangle's tail. Once far enough back, the two are then slingshotted up to the enemy wasp. Blaze then flung Marine up to the mech.

Marine looks around at the smaller bots inside. "G'day, mates." She then began whaling on as many as she could in the span of a few seconds. Scrap and metal feel from the mech as Blaze prepared a fire attack.

"Ready to fire!" Marine leaps out of the wasp mech falling down to the sand only for Tangle to quickly catch her with her tail. "Nice catch, Tangle. This 'ere tail o' yours works wonders."

"Thanks, Marine. What about the bee?"

Her question is then immediately answered as the wasp above them blows up from a fire blast peircing through it. Blaze slowly descends to the ground as the metal rains down. "Just like old times."

Tangle jumps and cheers Blaze on after this. "That was so cool! We really need to use that tail action like that more often."

"Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves."

Marine looks over in the distance seeing some people closing in. "Uhhh… Blaze?" She points to a few men in armor approaching the three of them.

Blaze approaches and stands before them. "At ease, men."

Tangle looks confused. "Are these your men?"

"Royal guard, to be exact. What brings you here?"

One of the guards speaks. "The Queen has requested a meeting with you, your highness."

The other guard adds more. "She said you can bring the outsider."

Blaze nods. "Very well. Come on, Tangle." She follows the guards as Tangle tags along behind her.

Marine follows. "What about me?"

"Marine, you stay here and keep an eye out for any more trouble. We'll be back as soon as possible."

Tangle jitters a bit. "I can't believe I get to see your kingdom." She then looks at an aircraft nearby. "Wow. These guards travel in style."

"Thanks. Try to remain calm, Tangle. The queen doesn't take too kindly to outsiders."

The two of them board the aircraft with the guards. Once seated, they lift off the island and begin to set course for Blaze's kingdom to see the queen. Only time will tell what reason it is for.
