serious news time
my uncle died two weeks back in an explosion. he was in an explosion on tuesday and died in the hospital on friday.
Even as someone who indulges in fiction mercilessly this was one of the hardest things to understand. Even now the shock is still fading. His two sons and wife didn't expect it, much less the rest of the family. currently everyone's running around, my dad and my stepmom and my other aunt and uncle flew out to their hometown to be with his family. things have been crazy these past few weeks. christmas has been a non-event.
but i'll take my dad being with my cousins when they need it the most now than having him here to celebrate.
so...yeah. it's been wild. I just wanted to let you all know what's been going on. I haven't abandoned you all in the least, regardless of which story you're reading. there's still drafts and there's still chapters being written. it's just been a little slow right now.
i'll sign off now. i have nothing else to add, but i hope y'all are happy and enjoying time with your family and friends. don't let little things hurt your relationships. you never know when they're going to leave.
