Meilin's pov

It's been exactly a year since your death, Rollan. And ever since then, I've visited you. I know that you're somewhere in the sky waiting for me to come.

We've won the war. Essix misses you. I miss you even more.

I know you're one of these stars up in the sky, and, I know that you watch over me like a parent watches over their child.

At your last day, I didn't rescue you. I regret that. I didn't make it in time. I'm sorry, if you would ever forgive me.

I killed Shane, something I shouldn't be proud of but more like I should do. And I have done it, if that will ever make up to you.

I'm sorry, I really am.

I'm sorry for all the times I ever teased you. For all the times I was mean. For all the times I messed up.

You're somewhere above the clouds, acting as our guardian.

You're somewhere in the sky, watching over me now.
