Sly, knowing jade eyes
His motives are mystery
He likes it that way.
Twisting, evading,
Smooth advance and retreat; oh,
The thrill of the chase.
In battle they flow
Innate, deadly cohesion
Of metal and chi.
They are a contrast,
Almost entirely unlike
What draws them closer?
The scholar knows why;
In contrast, they complement
And so become whole.
No open displeasure
But he's always stricken mute
By that flash in his eyes. (1)
Careless exterior
Inner vulnerability
So many layers.
A/N: more 85 poetry written in class. I must draw inspiration from geography. Every time I swear this is the last bunch, but the damn things keep coming. Ahahaha , as Hakkai would say.
(1) Remember the scene in Reload where they all played mah-jong after being beaten by Kami-sama? Gojyo protests and calls Goku names, and there's this quick shot of Hakkai giving him the I-killed-a-thousand-people-and-you're-next Glare and then Gojyo sits down tame as a baa-lamb. He's definitely the scariest of the four.
